Great selection of drinks and cakes. Breakfast and dinner menu too. On site shop for groceries. Books and antiques. Friendly staff.

After doing 2 tests at Weston I thought I would give the Avonmouth centre a go.The examiner (Elaine) was so much nicer and really calming in the way she directed the test compared to my other examiners. She chatted to reassure me when I was unsure as to what she wanted me to do, as well as giving very clear directions the whole way round which helped me pass. If you have the option between doing your test at Avonmouth and Weston 100% choose Avonmouth!

Had my practical test last week. Didn't go inside the building because of COVID restriction. Good social distancing and hygiene practice. My examiner was a nice gentleman. Polite. Explained me the process. A little harsh in handing me the minor faults i felt. But i did pass the test in first attempt, so no complains :) . This is where i feel DVLA should improve the test criteria to make it more practical. At the moment learning for the test and the real life driving are two completely different things.

Great test today with Richard - friendly and helped me relax even though I was super nervous before starting. The weather was bad but the roads were clear and by chatting through the test I was able to keep calm and focused. I learned with Erjon from RED Driving in Bristol and would recommend both this centre to take your test and my instructor :-)

Great Bristol Driving Test Centre. Avonmouth driving test centre is a modern centre located in Avonmouth and provides a superb driving test service. The Driving Test Examiners are all very professional with one mission, to ensure drivers enter a lifetime of safe driving. They are all friendly and compassionate, fully aware that the test process can be very stressful for some with anxiety before and during the test, potentially increasing the chance you may not perform as well as you know you can and have demonstrated to your instructor. With this in mind they will do their very best to keep the experience as relaxed as possible. As long as you are fully prepared you stand a very good chance of passing.

People giving this place a low score are just bitter, I failed my test, but that was by a stupid mistake I know i should of never done, the tester was fair and patient the whole way through. I left feeling more confident that I can actually pass my test at the next opportunity.
