M. N.The team at Somax were very friendly, enthusiastic and after the pre-assessment lesson I knew this was the provider for me.
I enrolled on a two and a half day C1 category course which would enable me to apply for the Ambulance Service in the future.
The course was 2.5 days (with the test on the last day) the length based on my abilities from the pre-assessemt.
The course was on a 2:1 lesson share. This meant myself and another student would take turns behind the wheel in 2 hour intervals throughout the day. This gave us the advantage of being able to observe each other with the instructor, so it was extra time at no extra cost.
Our instructor Martin made me feel at ease straight away with his calm, friendly manor and his instruction was easy to understand and implement.
Unfortunatly I didn't pass first time (a silly mistake I made on an otherwise decent drive) but Somax made me feel at ease and were able to book me in for a re-take when it next suited. I'm happy to say I nailed it 2nd time around :)
I'd Highly recommend Somax for your advanced driver category needs and if you get the chance to train on a 2:1 basis, take it.

Both instructors were helpful, easy to get on with, remember you will be sharing a cab with your instructor and able to help me pass both tests first time.
