I. S.I have just completed my class 2 and 1 with these guys and it was a great experience. Passed first time for both classes(zero minors on class 1!).
They have a great range of vehicles to learn in, including MAN, Scania, Volvo and Renault. The instructors are fantastic, they make sure you can drive to a VERY high standard as they also train the emergency services. Also, if I ever had any questions, the office was a quick and easy way to answer them.
Neil, Robbo, Tom and Tony are brilliant and first class at what they do, can't recommend highly enough.
M. C.I’m so so pleased I decided to train with ETT, the entire team work so hard to maintain the highest standards of training.
One BIG thing I found especially helpful was before the training even began, Hayley in the office dealt with all the paperwork and applications for me which I know I would have messed up! ETT also gave me access to a training website and phone app to prepare me for the theory test.
The vehicle training was on a 2 pupils to 1 trainer ratio with modern vehicles which are kept immaculately. The trainer we had was Neil who has lots of experience, he was clear and a real decent guy to spend 8 days with. I would definitely recommend ETT as they have provided a ‘complete service’ from start to finish.

The whole process with them was great from start to finish, from making contact with Hayley and Robbo and arranging my theory test aswell as LGV course to the fantastic week I had with Mark getting ready for test day. C.Neil is a first class instructor, there were times in the beginning where I thought there's no way I would pass but he went over and above to get me passed even working a Saturday great company and the cheapest I found to get me through the tests. Passed with no minors! Adam B

R. H.Passed my Class 2 with ETT recently. Instructed by Ade, the course was well paced and structured. Whilst I had stacks of driving experience I'd never driven anything bigger than a van so was still hesitant. Ade's approach allowed a good amount of time to gradually build confidence with the vehicle before hitting the mean streets of Ipswich and tricky test route areas. Any faults that cropped up (there were plenty!) were calmly, politely and professionally dealt with. I passed first time with only a single driving fault and thoroughly enjoyed my week!

The training provided was excellent and my instructor, Robbo, made sure that my driving was to a high standard prior to my test. Team ETT strive to make their candidates as comfortable as possible behind the wheel of a lorry and ultimately pass their test easily to be ready to work as a professional driver.
I can’t thank Robbo enough for training me to this standard and never would have thought I’d be this confident in such a short space of time. Definitely would recommend this to anyone looking for their Class 1

S. K.I can give only 5 stars as Google is not allowing me to give more than that. I started from car Cat B to C+E Lorry and it is a huge learning curve. I have to unlearn the casual driving and be aware of the other vulnerable road users and learn to drive the big lorry with a long trailer. Robbo took me from baby steps to getting the first time pass is remarkable. He coached me all the details including minor details to make sure I get better every hour during the training. He followed up every day and revised on the details and made sure I don’t forget the previous learnings. A legend of an instructor and would recommend him to anyone without any hesitation and even in my sleep.

E.After a great conversation with Hayley @ ETT I got my car to artic booked and couldn’t wait to get started.My tuition started on a Monday with Robbo who was nothing short of a top fella but more importantly a fantastic instructor,Robbo really helped me to keep calm and I feel he brought out the best in my ability’s.

Robbo and his team are just the best !!! Top guys who are so passionate about the training they deliver. Kind, honest and precise in there training. The vehicles they use are all 100% and that feeling continues from the time that you step in the cab until the time that you pass your test.

What a great company.was nervous going into the training .Soon as you tip up to the yard was met by the owner robbo straight away putting you at ease .Then introduced to my instructor Tom. Tom was very chilled .I made a absolute howler on one of my drives tom did not loose it with me kept his cool took me back round and talked me through my mistake .tom had faith in me and my co driver from the very first time we went out. Level of training was great i passed with one minor so did my co driver .great experience from beginning to end.clean trucks they take lots of pride great company

After training previously with another company, without success, I found Robbo’s training style really worked for me and improved my confidence. The training was very thorough and enjoyable too!
F. M.I initially made contact enquiring about a C1 license but didn't know where to start and Hayley was extremely helpful and sent over all of the information and I booked straight away.
After passing my theory tests using their online tutorials/information packs and mock tests I moved on to booking my practical which I needed to do asap. ETT we're so busy and only had tests available when I was too busy due to work commitments so Hayley and Robbo went above and beyond to fit me in, sooner rather than later.
I spent a full on day with Tony who was very knowledgeable and helped me iron out any bad habits I'd picked up over the years and managed to pass my test with zero faults.
I couldn't recommend ETT and their team enough and I will definitely be in touch with them in the future!

I myself have been trained by them and therefore I have both certificates: off road maneuvers and driving test certificates. And this despite the fact that English is not my first language. Having just obtained my C+E, I can honestly say the entire experience was an absolute pleasure. The training which was delivered along with the vehicles which were used were all first class, I cannot fault it.
My instructor (Robbo the Guv) was brilliant, a real genuine bloke who has a passion for his company and for what he teaches, just listen to what he tells you and you will pass. Plus, he’s also fond a large Latte with a caramel shot.
If you're looking to undertake any form of driver training, I cannot recommend this company enough.
The entire ETT team should be proud of what you have achieved.

W.Wow what a great experience this has been I have come from car to arctic it has only been possible because of the great training I received from Robbo and his team, working on your off road reversing and coupling and uncoupling, great clear information good demos showing us how it’s is to be done. The on road training was so great we slowly worked are way up to the hard stuff and believe me it was hard but Robbo kept pushing to get the best out of us even when I did have a terrible day. I started my weeks training back in February when the beast from the east hit. One day cancelled due to heavy snow and then test day cancelled, it wasn't until today I could get my test. Having 5 weeks off I was a bit apprehensive but Robbo gave me a few hours as a refresher and before long I felt as confident as I did before. He is a fantastic, funny and knowledgeable instructor who makes you feel so comfortable. Hayley is just as brilliant and so on point with the admin and giving you all the information you need. She was fantastic in chasing and sorting out my new test date and always kept me in the loop. This is my second test the first test my nerves got the better of me (that’s just human life) so I unfortunately failed. But to me this isn’t a fail it’s a lesson.
Hayley and Robbo wasted no time to book me in for my second test. In the mean time Robbo made me feel at ease and a lot more confident on how to control my nerves and making sure I know I can drive because I can hence why I passed with such good results!
This company does not mess around they get you in and train you to be the best of the best! Success is what they want their customers to strive for and it clearly shows it does happen!
I would not recommend any other company (not saying this because I passed with them but because I’ve heard and seen some of the other companies results and prices! Not great) trust me when I say this as you will not regret it!

Hayley initially will work wonders to accommodate whatever your circumstances are as between both my professions, she squared it away with what seemed effortless but was no doubt a ball ache, so the work back end does not go unnoticed and I am fully indebted to her specifically. Secondly all training staff are astutely professional, however. My experience is with Paul AKA “Robbo” for my hands on training behind the 32t rigid body. “Without blowing to much smoke” Robbo locks in a unique one to one training aid solely designed around you and further training aids if needed. It was awkward wearing a mask during training but this is within the period I learnt. You’ll have a great time ribbing Rob or the other staff whilst learning and come out with the desired qual you need. The pinnacle of driving tuition company and not to be overlooked...

Robbo is one of the most personable, passionate and straight talking people I have ever met - an absolute pleasure and a very rare individual to learn from and a total professional. This guy is absolutely on it, and has the unique ability to allow you to believe in yourself and to go out and get the training/test done.
Hayley is the consummate professional and is calm, informative and very honest answering questions that challenge their business i.e. % pass rates etc (she does, in my opinion, deserves a medal 🏅 putting up with Robbo).

when I began shopping around for my class 2 license I acquired three quotes from different companies, on receiving my quote from ETT which was slightly higher then the others I took the attitude of "you get what you pay for" so I called Hayley and had a chat...….. well all I can say is I handed over my details and EVERYTHING was taken care of with upmost professionalism and care!
then came test week with Robbo, from the start his attitude was "train hard test easy" which not only worked but made me feel like I wasn't just a student or a pass statistic I was part of the family! (very important when your nervous about test day)
the whole week was about you the learner, minimal stopping so you got plenty of driving hours, expert knowledge shared in a manner that was easy to understand but most importantly for those few extra pennies you not only got value for money you got a lorry maintained to the highest of standards and a instructor that wanted you to pass to that high standard and family run business that put you first!

J. C.Having started my training for my Cat 'C' back in February 2019, I had to stop due to unforeseen circumstances after 3 days and was unable to continue to my test. Over 10 weeks later, a 1 day assessment followed by a test the next day and I pass. Fantastic for me! Of course, but what was fantastic about it was the training I received from Robbo who has been brilliant from day one. His enthusiasm is infectious and his training methods are second to none. Having a 10 week break between a few lessons and a test, passing with a couple of minors is testament to his knowledge and ability to make you feel at ease behind the wheel and confident in your abilities. The staff were always on hand to provide information and keep me and my employers (Suffolk Fire and Rescue) informed at all times, during my 10 week delay. Robbo, I can't thank you enough mate. Gonna miss the banter and the laughs, but I'm sure I'll catch with you again at some point in time. Top, top fella and instructor.

a. a.Booked up a complete course for HGV C driving lessons including a CPC. I was guided through the process and tests by Hayley who was brilliant at getting the dates booked in which were suitable around my other arrangements. The driving lessons with Robbo got me up to the level I needed to be for test standard, he works you hard to make sure you have the confidence for test day. To sum it up, on Monday at 10am was my first time ever at driving a lorry, and on Friday at 10.15am I had a pass certificate with 0 driving faults. The quality of the training was high class which resulted in my success.

An absolutely amazing company. Hayley is just brilliant, answered all my initial questions without making me feel like i was being a pain. She spent ages on the phone with me booking in all 3 theory tests to be done on the same day and around my work schedule, gave me all the revision material I needed which was a great help. I then did my module 4 with Hayley who was such a good teacher, went through all the possible questions in a clear, simple, easy to understand way so I felt fully prepared for the test.
I then did my weeks training with Robbo. It was such a hard week and he really pushed me but it was good fun at the same time. He believed in me every single minute of that week which ment a lot as the first 2 days I felt like I just couldn't do it. I didnt pick it up easily but he had so much patience with me. Just listen to everything he tells you to do, he knows his stuff and he wants you to pass.
I cant thank Hayley and Robbo enough for how they have helped me from the beginning to the end. They both make you feel like you are a truly valued customer and they both want you to do well.

A. L.I passed my C+E (Class 1) with ETT, on my first attempt as well. It took me 3 attempts on my C (Class 2), which I did not take with ETT and really wish I had taken it with ETT.
I think the hard work and dedication of the team at ETT has been a huge part in me being able to pass first time.
It is hard work, but that's how it should be and with Robbo you'll be driving for a good part of the day, not spending all day in truck stops and cafes. I definitely feel that ETT are fantastic value for money, when you consider how much driving time you're given.

It all starts by using the well organised pre course training via the website. Follow the site program and the theory and hazard perception tests are a breeze.
On the road Robbo’s professionalism and vast experience just shine through which will set you up for your test. I have to say I was nervous before my test but as soon as I got out on the road with the examiner all that quality training kicked in and my confidence grew. More importantly by the end of it I was presented with my pass certificate.

The scania i learnt and passed in was spot on very clean mechanically faultless and was a pleasure to drive. Anyone out there thinking of driver training should use these guys a family owned and run business. The service i got was faultless emails were replied to in super quick time and advice was given where needed. I highly recommend essex transport training one of the best out there
