Honestly if anybody suffers from anxiety or has had bad instructors in the past then please use smart learner and ask for Muhammed allom. He is an amazing instructor and he is patient and very positive 😊 he also tells you when your wrong even if you think your right but if you go into the lessons willing to learn then you will get along with him great! honestly don't think I would of PASSED my test today if it wasn't for him and I honestly can't thank him enough! so please ask for him! 🚘

I passed my driving test 2 days ago . My teacher was Mohammed Farukh Khan. Before I met him , I attempted the exam 4 times and failed . He was best instructor I could ever ask for . Rajesh (Raj) is experienced and systematic in his teaching. He is clear and concise in his instructions, very patient with me, and would cater his teaching to my needs/ personality. He is calm, very patient with me, and will use reasonable critism, but never unfounded discouragement. I passed first attempt with only 5 minors! I have taken the intense course, with Diana my driving instructor who has been very patient, supportive towrads achieving this success. I struggled with lane discipline, and roundabouts and it was during my sessions with Diana, I was able to fully grasp the concept of maneuvering efficiently. Diana, is an awesome person, I definitely recommend her to my family and friends who would like to pass first attempt. 💯% worth it.

My instructor Yonis is absolutely brilliant. I contacted him one month before my first driving test after disappointment from my previous instructor and he kindly took me and got me ready for the test in such a short period of time. He is full of good advice and he is very patient and kind to his student. At the same time he is very serious about driving and will always point out every mistakes I made, which is very helpful later on when I was doing the test. Here to show my appreciation for Anniela Qumar! I passed my practical test first time. We started our lessons in December and in two months and a bit she managed to prepare me for my test and to pass it. Very patient, especially considering the fact that I never sat in the driver seat in my life. My instructor is Yonis and he's brilliant. I will be 5.5 hours into my lessons with him at the end of this week and I feel very confident. He picks up on your weak spots very quickly and ensures you go through them till you're confident. He's very patient and respectul and explains things very calmly and clearly. I've had not so good experiences with instructors in the past and so I've been a little apprehensive but he's great and I would recommend him to anyone looking to book lessons with smartlearner.

I've just done what felt like the impossible after 16 years on and off lessons with various other driving instructors and passed with just 4 minors all thanks to Sajid at smart learner. I was a very nervous driver and although I knew what to do and was capable, once I was in the car I just went to pieces. Sajid was calm , patient and understanding of how I was feeling and thankfully built up my confidence and knowledge, he has made me a better driver all round. Dealing with smart learner from start to finish has been great, the office staff are helpful and the text message services are great reminders for lessons and other services available with them . I had Diana T as my driving instructor for the last 2 years. Diana was my 5th driving instructor. She was the only one that was able to work through my nerves and promote a confidence in me. It wasn’t till the neves were gone that I could begin to learn. She was always patient and always supportive. She made me beilive in myself and handled my emotions and obstructions that were stopping me being able to thrive. Together we had learnt that for me my best technique was to talk through every move, position, manoeuvre - which I continued to do on my test and helped me to pass (we are both sure of that)! My daughter was really nervous about meeting her driving instructor as she has autism and ADHD, but from the moment she met Diana she was totally put at ease. Diana is the most patient, understanding and kind lady you could meet. Deryn was delighted. Diana did wonders for Deryns confidence and in a very short time she was ready for her theory test, which Diana helped her breeze through. I passed first time with only 3 minor faults in less than 2 and a half months with my fantastic driving instructor James. Initially, I was worried about who my instructor will be and whether they will be too strict and have little patience. But after our lesson, I was pleased that I was assigned to James. He has a relaxed approach to teaching, his instructions and explanations were always clear and he is very patient and encouraging. At times when I was flustered, he would calmly reassure me and at the end of each lesson, we would discuss what happened as well as tips and improvements for our next lesson. I can’t recommend James enough! Thank you for everything :)

I passed my driving test first time many many thanks to Chaudhry, who was exceptional!!! I speak as one who had 3 previous experiences with Driving Instructors who were either impatient (yes, I admit that I am a nervous driver), unprofessional (e.g., taking long phone calls during lessons!), or just not bothered. With Chaudhry, I felt like I learned a lot more during my first 2 hours with him than I had learnt during my 30 hours with the previous instructors (yes, 30 hours). I’m taking time to write a detailed review with the hope that I can spare someone several wasted hours and low confidence in driving. What I especially liked about our lessons were: (1) His method of correction was not condescending/judgmental. For example, he calmly used to ask me “how is our position?” when I was driving too close to the curb or central line (I tended to do this a lot yet he didn’t get annoyed even once). I will remember this question once I start driving my car by myself. (2) He carefully explained the reasons behind many manoeuvres and actions - how to know the most appropriate time to signal when moving off, why we need to slow down (when safe to do so), when to look ahead and slow down when unsure of lanes or while turning into roads, why we need to indicate in good time, etc etc. Whenever I made mistakes, he made sure to explain things once we pulled over safely, correcting me calmly as soon as the error occurred (whilst still fresh in my memory). (3) He wanted to know which teaching style I would prefer - e.g., would I like to be guided fully, prompted occasionally, or fully independent (when safe, of course)? (4) SmartLearner Driving seems to be dedicated to improving their Instructors’ skills, as I witnessed during a lesson. I hope this review helps your decision-making. Thank you thank you SmartLearner Driving Coventry & Mr Chaudhry! - Chibi Update: so I decided to do an extra lesson after passing my practical test (cos I had this suspicion that I was probably one of those potential/developing hazards you watch during hazard perception tests). I got in touch with another SmartLearner Instructor, who was also exceptional: observing and correcting me kindly and professionally.

Best decision I made was to start lessons with SmartLearner. My instructor was Sham and he was way, way better than the instructor I had before (at another company). Very encouraging and I looked forward to every lesson. He expressed a lot more confidence in my driving than I had which, in turn, made me more confident. Sham started telling me to book a test, which I've now passed, way sooner than I thought was possible. I can't thank him enough for helping me so much whilst making the lessons more enjoyable. 100% recommend because even though I paid more per lesson with SmartLearner, I saved money by passing in a lot fewer lessons than I would have elsewhere. Last of all: If you didn't have Sham, I had a better instructor than you - fact, ;)

Howlader aka Islam is an excellent instructor. I cannot praise him enough!! Being a teacher in his previous career really reflects in the way he taught me how to drive. He is clear, precise and explains things in such a way which is easy for anybody to understand. He is always on time and when I took my first lesson we jumped straight into the nitty gritty stuff and I started driving as soon as I sat in the car. Every lesson we reflected on the previous lesson and corrected any mistakes, then advanced onto something new resulting in me advancing and building confidence very quickly. Which ended up in me passing first time!!!!! I would recommend Howlader to anybody who is learning to drive. I couldn't of had a better Instructor! Thank you so much!!

I met Yonis last month, August 2020 after I was disappointed from a driving instructor that wasted my time. I had 14 hours lesson with Yonis and passed as I was driving before in Home country before I moved to United Kingdom. I was so disappointed when I did my first driving test and failed last year and my instructor was even blaming me but when I met Yonis, he was able to work on my fears. Especially the fear of griff Roundabout. I was so happy after our first lesson and how he easily explain the griff Roundabout and I got it straight away. My son has special needs and will never be able to drive a real car. I contacted smartlearner because he desperately wants to drive. Not only did they fully understand and accomodate our requirements the young man that gave the simulator lesson was excellent. So calm understanding and friendly a real people person. Originally I was put with a Driver who was very condescending, extremely rude and would talk over me and not listen. I raised my concerns to smartlearner and they were super efficient with putting me with another driver called Ozzie. Ozzie has been phenomenal he's gone above and beyond my expectations. I had my test in nuneaton and usually he only doesn't coventry test but he went away and found nuneaton test routes so he could help me with it. He sent me resources outside of lessons to help as well. I've had some instructors who give the tough love approach and that doesn't work well with me and knocks my confidence, Ozzies approach is positive reinforcements with honest criticism. You can tell everything he says and does comes from a place of love and concern. I'm a confident driver anyway but if your a nervous driver he'd definitely would great for you.

I had Faraman as my instructor, despite of being fairly new to Coventry and had already been to few lessons with two awful instructors, I was very skeptical about being introduced to new instructors! So I took my chance and called Smart Leaners, they introduced me to Faraman. After my first lesson, I was really happy with the way he explained and taught. The lessons then went on for few months due to lockdown. There was a point where I got to find out my Theory was expiring, only had few weeks to brush up. A MASSIVE thank you to my driving instructor, Rajesh. Firm but always fair. He pushes you to the very extreme to make sure you are perfect and once he knows you have exceeded the pass mark he will tell you to book your practical test. When I first started my lessons I was a little nervous but his way of teaching me was very easy and straight forward which i enjoyed it, making me feel i was progressing and learning. 5 star recommendation for Anniela, my driving instructor. She is brilliant instructor – friendly, understanding, flexible and patient. Bad anxiety has prevented me from taking the plunge with driving previously and I was extremely nervous in my first lesson. Anniela put me at ease and her teaching style was excellent, giving little hints and tips, reference points I could use for manoeuvres and was regularly sending me links to videos I should watch to help with my learning. If I didn’t understand something or made a mistake, Anniela would clearly explain why it went wrong and we would go over it again, usually eliminating mistakes straight away. In the run up to the test, all my lessons were mock tests so I knew exactly what to expect on test day and we could assess any areas we needed to focus on. I needed an instructor who would recognise my ability and push me out of my comfort zone so I would progress – Anniela did just that, boosted my confidence and I passed my test first time in just over 5 months of my first lesson. I would not of stayed with smart learner if it was not for my instructor and that is the reason for three stars, I found the company as a whole were VERY unprofessional and they messed up my lessons a number of times and in the end I just contacted my driving instructor directly to avoid any more mix ups. If I was rating on my instructor Sonia I would of given her 5 stars. I have just passed my driving test after 14 hours of lessons, I passed in 3 months and it is all thanks to Sonia. She was a god send. After having lessons with other people before she has been by far the best and made me feel so comfortable driving. Before lessons with Sonia I felt very nervous and really didn’t want to give it another go however she soon changed that and now I can’t thank her enough! Attention to detail was high and the learning experence felt personal and tailored - I had some experience with a previous instructor and on our first few lessons we identified the main areas for improvement and focussed on these, rather than starting from scratch. I recommend Anniela at Smartlearner 100%, having struggled with other driving instructors and failing a couple of times over a decade ago, Anniela’s calm clear approach has been amazing! Anniela always had time to explain specifics of the lesson at the end what went well what I need to think about for next lesson. Loads of really good tips I never would have thought of, and so much experience of the area around Cov Nuneaton and Bedworth. If you want to learn to drive with someone who really cares, gives you time, helps when managing (my) really crazy diary to try and find slots to do Lessons, and is so supportive then give them a call!

I would like to highly recommend SmartLearner instructor Dave. After experienced an inpatient and over-strict instructor, I was assigned to Dave, and he really built my driving confidence. He just trusts you, even if you make a little mistake (of course it have to be only a minor mistake), and he will not yell at you. It seems everything was under his control, you just learn driving on your way, and he is the Kung Fu master. He also uses internet fluently, I mean he follows SmartLearner's standard learning tracking process. Maybe he looks wild at the first glance, but he definitely is an extremely patient gentleman and also an excellent tutor.
