Passed first time! I passed my driving test yesterday first time with Sonia. She was very helpful and professional. I wanted a driving instructor who is calm and explain things without getting frustrated and impatient because I had this experience with some other instructors before. But when I started taking lessons with Sonia I knew she was the instructor I would pass with. It was a brilliant experience and I would highly recommend her. Thank you A1

I came to A1 driving school with no previous experience of driving. I was recommended Zaf by a friend and I am pleased to say he exceeded my expectations and really helped me build my confidence with my driving and knowledge and experience on the roads. He always made sure my lessons were based around perfecting my driving and making sure that I can drive flawlessly without any struggle. I would really recommend A1 driving school to someone who is just starting their driving. I was able to go for my test and pass first attempt thanks to the help of Zaf.

I approached A1 driving academy for help with driving lessons here in Derby and was directed to Tanzeel for my automatic lessons . I must say I have the deepest regard and the highest respect for my instructor . He has been extremely patient and kind during my lessons , strict and disciplined where it was needed . I learnt everything needed to pass but will need to book my test later as I need to move cities now . I will come back to A1 and complete my course and take my test here in Derby. I think that should sufficiently explain how impressed I am with my instructor and this amazing institute. My driving instructor Kamran Khan helped me pass my driving. I can’t thank him enough and appreciate his sincere dedication in teaching driving to me as his student with full concentration, confidence and bit of humour. He is extremely patient and will always give the best advice and tips when it comes to driving. He was never late to my lesson and he never cancelled any lesson with me. I am really grateful for having him to teach me driving and adjust with my timings as I have toddler and it was a little hard for me to find time. I just wanted to say how happy I am with Amaar Ahmed’s tutoring! I’ve been through a few different instructors over the years and more often than not it’s resulted in overly tense lessons and failed test attempts. This was not the case with Amaar, he was always calm, focussed, entertaining and although I’m sure it’s not mandatory for everyone he’s genuinely a really nice guy that managed to squeeze a perfect amount of teaching into my allocated 20 hours so a big thank you to A1 and Amaar for everything! Would definitely recommend!

Hi i passed my driving test yesterday with 1 minor with Sonia A1 instructor. I had 2 other instructors before i met Sonia they were anything but nice. Sonia is a brilliant driving instructor who is very patient i was able to learn at my own pace and the lessons felt comfortable. I felt like i made progress every lesson and Sonia always focused on things i had struggled with the week before. She is very knowledgeable and gave me the confidence to drive safely i would highly recommend Sonia to anyone that is wanting to drive!!

I passed earlier this afternoon (One Minor) with my instructor Manny Usman, after having have had previous lessons with another driving school. Right from the outset Manny allowed me to be both comfortable and confident behind the wheel. Manny was brilliant in identifying which areas of my driving needed work on and wasted no time in doing so. The lessons were extremely positive and my confidence, skills and overall attitude towards driving had dramatically improved. I cannot thank Manny enough. Best instructor in derby!!! I’ve had 3/4 different instructors over the last year before I came to A1. Originally I started taking lessons from manny who helped me correct bad habits I had picked up from previous instructors. I would know, I teach for a living. So believe me when I tell you, you won't get a better driving instructor out than Sonia. I started taking lessons with A1 driving school after coming from another instructor who I failed my test previously with and after 8 or 9 months of having not drove. Zaf was straightforward with me from day 1 and told me to let my driving speak for itself. He took me for my test as soon as I thought I was ready and I managed to pass first time with A1. The best quality driving school in Derby. Would highly recommend. A1 driving school have they beat cars and the best instructors. I passed my test first time in a short space of time. I am extremely satisfied with the service. I come from Birmingham to derby to take lessons as a they are highly established as they have demonstrated first hand to me. A1 has big plans for the future. I will not ruin any of the surprises. Best instructor is zaffran. He got me passed extremely quickly. I am very happy that I have passed but I am disappointed as I will no longer be able to drive the golf r or see Zaff on a regular weekly bases. He wasn’t just my instructor. He was my brother.

Fantastic Driving School! I changed from a previous instructor which i was making no progress with and i managed to pass with Instructor Zaf within a few weeks. For example going around the roundabouts with a smart and safe strategy and even preparing myself to slow down at a junctions and much more, such things as these were not taught to me by previous instructors. Communication, Professionalism, Value Couldn’t believe as I passed it this morning 🌄 at first attempt but all the credits go to my instructor MO I had a great experience with MO he is such a great instructor. I had a lessons previously with an instructor and that was very bad experience as the instructor couldn’t keep calm and did not let me have full control, he made me so uncomfortable I never got back to that instructor. I needed help to pass ASAP because I was struggling to go to work place so I contacted MO organised lesson with him. He was incredibly patient and made driving very easy through his professional and friendly approach to teaching. He was great at explaining manoeuvres and made sure I could complete them comfortably; he didn’t rush things for me and asked whether I want to practice the manoeuvre more before moving on to the next one. MO is extremely efficient and has great teaching skills. Past First Time with instructor Tan. I had couple of driving instructor before Tan, non of them was as good as him. He helped me to get my driving license in a short timescale.
