Jess was an amazing instructor! She helped me to build my confidence with driving and helped me to progress faster than I would have expected! I managed to pass my test first time and know that I will be a safe and confident driver thanks to Jess! The communication from Lauren at Caledonian was fantastic and I was kept up to date about all lessons. Overall a fantastic experience for a once nervous driver! 😁

Pauline Mccabe was an amazing instructor for me from start to finish. She helped correct any mistakes in a calm n helpful way n always made me feel comfortable when driving. Pauline Hannigan instructed me in Shawlands. She was fantastic and I would highly recommend her to anyone learning to drive. Her knowledge is impressive and she provides actionable advice which helped me pass first time. She was adaptive to my learning pace and provided a lot of written detail after lessons. My instructor was Tom and he was great! So friendly and easy to get on with, which really helps you feel more comfortable driving. He was also VERY patient when I made mistakes which made me feel much more at ease and less worried about making errors. After lessons I felt so much more confident in my driving abilities. Could not recommend Caledonian enough and I definitely wouldn’t have passed without Tom’s great instructing!

I was contacted by a driving instructor shortly after emailing the company, and took about 5 lessons from Tom. He was fantastic. He knew how to build upon each lesson so I could feel my progress and gain more confidence. Most importantly, he was incredibly encouraging, positive, and put me at ease from the very first lesson. I also really appreciated how he didn't try and push me to buy more lessons than I needed, and was very honest about how I wouldn't need many lessons due to my prior experience. I passed recently with just 2 minors! (Also, it's worth noting that, once you've signed up for lessons, you gain access to the company's driving theory test materials which are AMAZING and helped me pass first time on the theory test). Overall, I had a very positive experience with this company, from start to finish, and would highly recommend Tom (though I'm sure all the instructors are fab).

I started learning with Tom after changing instructors, and he took me from being nervous behind the wheel and hating driving to looking forward to every lesson. He's always calm but gives great, clear instructions, and was amazing at dealing with my anxiety about my driving and the test. He's also dead easy to get on with and have a laugh with, which is such a benefit when you're dealing with stressful situations! I'd recommend him to anyone looking for an instructor!

I learned how to drive with Tom from 0 experience right up to passing my test first time. The guy knows his stuff. Very good at building up your confidence behind the wheel. Everything you do from the very beginning is preparing you for the test but I think it's important to note he's not just helping you pass the test, he'll help you be a better driver too. Keep up with your self reflection and homework to really benefit from the lessons. I'm actually missing coming home from work this week to a driving lesson, learning with Tom was a good time.

i’ve just passed my test after almost two years of driving and having a terrible experience with my last instructor from a different company. After the awful experience with them i didn’t think i could get back on track let alone pass anytime soon. Without the help and time Graeme put in during our lessons over the last couple of months i really wouldn’t be where i am without him. His teaching method was amazing and really helped boost my confidence. Thank you so much to Graeme, i would recommend him ten times over!

Learning to drive for the first time with Alan was a very enjoyable experience. Alan is a great instructor who was not only stress-free, but also very professional with his training methods. The pacing of the lessons was comfortable and Alan was very flexible with the time of lessons. Not only was I well prepared for the test, Alan also taught me what it meant to be a driver and the responsibilities that go with it. Thanks to Alan, I even managed to pass my driving test on my first attempt. I am glad I chose Alan to be my instructor and I would definitely recommend Caledonian LDT to anyone looking to learn how to drive.

I would highly recommend Caledonian to anyone who is learning to drive in central Scotland. I could not have asked for a better instructor than Stewart: he was patient and helpful, and had a strong sense of how to alter his approach so that it would "work" for me. I really appreciated that I was taught how to drive, rather than how to pass the test. If you want to choose an instructor who will make the whole experience of learning to drive a pleasure, I couldn't recommend Caledonian highly enough.

Tom was a fantastic instructor- I can’t recommed him highly enough. I had a bad experience with an instructor previously but Tom was a great teacher and very patient. Karen is the reason for my exchange from inexperienced learner to a confident, safe driver. She taught me not only how to drive a car but how to drive responsibly and why it is important to do so. I passed first time after around six months and in that time Karen taught me all there is to know about road safety and taking control of the car, as well as putting a smile on my face on a weekly basis. She is a patient and very experienced instructor and she has a brilliant personality- a genuinely lovely person with a great sense of humour! I would highly recommend Karen to any person of any age, regardless of how confident they feel; she is very easy to speak to and answered all of my questions. Caledonian LDT provided excellent materials for studying for the theory which undoubtedly helped me to pass. Never did I expect that an issue with passing my test would be missing my instructor so much! I will never forget her advice and can now drive confidently on my own. Thank you Karen!

I took lessons from Mark Allen, who is very polite in pointing out the mistake in a easy manner. He was very good in giving the necessary skills not only in driving but as well behavioral attitude on the road. I would definitely recommend Caledonian driving specially with Mark.

I was extremely nervous getting into the car, as most people are, I think. That said, when I called up Caledonian Driving - through a recommendation of a friend - I found I was treated promptly and respectfully. Unlike friends who had had bad experiences of driving, I found my tutor - Dougie - to not only be friendly and supportive, but extremely patient when it came to the occasional bad day, as well as my learning curve. I really appreciated the fact he had patience with me, and I think it's crucial that the tutor to a new driver gives you the model by which to work by when it comes to driving yourself - something which Dougie did.

Chic Myles is a great instructor who I would recommended to anyone if they are looking for an instructor who is reliable and professional. Learning to drive with Chic was enjoyable as he motivated you and he was flexible with the lesson times because sometimes I had to work late and Chic wouldn't mind that I had to make my lesson later in the day, also Chic always reassures you so you feel safe and confident behind the wheel. Are you looking for a driver instructor? Good news! Your search is over because in Karen Hardy you have found the best in Scotland. I was a more mature learner, at 28 years old, but Karen was quick to calm any worries I had about learning to drive. From the first lesson, Karen worked to build my confidence, knowledge and driving skills. Karen quickly got me behind the wheel from the start of each lesson, which is right where you want to be when learning to drive. Karen is clearly a very experienced driver and she has great knowledge of the roads around East Ren and Paisley. Better yet, Karen is able to share her knowledge and experience in such a way that will get you ready and feeling confident to pass your test. She did for me! We had a great rapport in the car, which made journeys to and around Paisley surprisingly enjoyable as I learned the workings of the roads. Importantly, I always felt comfortable asking questions when I was unsure about something. Karen always provided useful, constructive criticism after every drive, which could be used to set learning aims for the next lesson. Karen was also quick to correct any bad habits/mistakes I made on a drive, too. Karen was recommended to me by my wife's younger cousin and I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending her to anyone who is looking to learn to drive safely and skilfully! Norrie Mackenzie is a legend, let me put it out there! Please note I am not the first person to say that, Norrie also taught a good friend of mine who agrees with me 100%. At the beginning I was so very scared. I thought I could never learn to drive, but after 30 lessons with Norrie I passed my test at first attempt and will never forget that amazing feeling! It was good fun driving with Norrie, I never felt silly or incapable, but relaxed and calm. I didn't even realise I was learning until after I had learnt it! Norrie made it all very effortless and he prepared me well for the roads, teaching me way more than the minimum required to pass the test and not only did he prepare me for the roads: I also picked up some funny sayings and jokes! Thank you, Norrie!
