I passed my class 1 (CAT C+E) at the first attempt with only 2 minors. Russ my instructor gave clear instruction throughout and made it an enjoyable 4 days training. Adam was my contact at Hughes, who helped guide me through the process with the booking of the theory and practical training. Highly recommend!!

I passed my class 2 with Hughes Driver Training, I was lucky enough to be trained by Doug Johnson. What a guy.. very knowledgeable who answered my every question with great depth, eased my nerves on both practical tests and had good humour on the journey to passing my LGV test. Thank you again Doug! The training will sit with me for life! All the best for the future.

From booking my class 2 to my medical, theory, trainning all the way to the test hughes were helpful and attentive especially through the covid period. Unfortunately my trainning landed over the lockdowns but hughes were On the ball and got me in for my test after both lockdowns (unfortunately I failed first time round only down to my mistake) I trained in Weedon and northampton with russ and Addy and both are brilliant. Patient, understanding and able to coach and explain mistakes helping me to understand. Not only that both took their time to talk to me and understand my situation making me feel more comfortable. Overall top experience and passed my class 2. And class 1 booked in !

Hi everyone where do I start I was referred to these to do my cat c rigid so glad I used these to do my cat c very helpful and really great people from the call centre staff and the instructors I never felt like they missed anything with the training . Although I did start my road with them in middle of last year a month ish long course turned into almost a year from start to finish but this was not hughes fault this is due to covid pandemic but throughout the not being able to train they was always on the phone if I needed them and was keeping me updated all the time. My training centre I went to to do my practical driving training the site was very good the vehicles was clean and excellent to drive the trainer I had although it was his first day with the company he was fantastic patient guy who knows his stuff and I passed first time which was also a good thing for my trainer as I was his first student that passed first time. The only downfall to my training was my local test center for cat c didn't have any tests on the day they sorted for me but there was no delay on the test day as I just did my test in a different area which was about 40mile away but again not hughes fault was just the test centre not having any slots. They are good too with after care because they phone and ask how your getting on etc and if not found a job they also help with that too ALL I CAN SAY IS THANK YOU HUGHES TRAINING 100% RECOMMENDED

I booked a full Mod-4 and Mod-3 test package with this firm at their drivers school in Alfreton. I was put through to Leighton Barnwell who arranged everything in minutes and kept the dates reserved for my tests, awaiting my payment. He was very professional and informative. If the training in Alfreton proves as effective as the booking service it will be money well-spent. Book straight through Hughes telephone number if you can. You won't be disappointed!!

I did a 5day course (Jan 2016) to gain my Cat C licence and they were fantastic from the word go. I trained out off the Radlett depot with Phil as my instructor and he was great he knows exactly what he's on about and helped me pass first time with hardly and driver faults on test. I also completed my CPC (Feb 2016) with Hughes and also passed first time. Great company all the staff I met seem really nice and keen to help you learn and pass.

I passed class two with bill first time in 2000, bill is an odd character, but an excellent instructor. I passed class one first time with Darren, not sure if he is ex forces, but that’s how he comes across! He drills it in and does it well. I flew through with 3 minors. Darren is a perfectionist and if I hadn’t been nervous and did it to the letter of Darren’s instruction I would have had a clean sheet. Hughes is highly recommended, the other recommendation I have is for Peter Smythe up near Mansfield, I did an artic refresher with them last year and they are really professional

After 30yrs in another trade (and 2 redundancies) I decided it was time for a change. Hughes Training were recommended by an ex work colleague and so I made the phone call. Keira at Hughes was extremely helpful in sorting everything out for me. My journey through the medical,CPC,the theory and finally the practical was made so easy by Keira and her professionalism. adam top man, he rescue me from new wave, oky this is short story, i join new wave drining school jan 2017 they took my money and they dnt put me on practical, they waste all my time, over 1 year and 9 month, soon as hughes took over my case trust me adsm put me on practical withing 3 weeks, he call me to discuss with me on 1 of july 2019 and i starts training on 29 of july, i did my test on 2 of august and got first time pass, that was my little story, thank u adam thank u hughes,

Took my test with these guys passed first time today, I was driving from the Loughborough branch, Only thing stopping this from being a 5 star is that we changed trucks 3 times over the 4 days training, the trucks were the same make and model but the last one i felt was not as good as the others, never the less passed first time so would highly recommend and shall be returning for my cpc in around 5 weeks
