I had Ashley as an instructor. As some who suffers with severe anxiety and hadn't had a driving lesson in 10+ years, starting driving lessons was an absolute nightmare. Within 5 minutes of being in the car I know I'd made the correct choice. Very calm, patient and always wanting you to be the best you, Ashley was a fantastic teacher.
I would 100% recommend this driving school to everyone.

He give me little tips which helped me massively and allowed me to pass first time. He made all manoeuvre’s very simple and easily understandable. Highly recommended👍🏻
S. A. G.I started taking driving lessons in April 2021 with Chris H and from the first day he made me feel comfortable and also explained everything I need to know in order to drive safely. He also helped me a lot with booking lessons in advance and also last minute changes at times as I work away, so I couldn’t always keep my lessons consistent, however when i came back Chris was always there ready to go and pick up where we left. Always providing me with helpful resources for my theory test and also advice on links to watch on the ‘Ashley Neal’ youtube channel that will help me with certain situations and also the follow up to my test. I am going to miss my lessons with Chris as we always had a laugh and also made my time learning comfortable and enjoyable. First time and I passed and I couldn’t be happier!

L. T.I have seen this guy (Ashley) on the road few times. His driving is very very proffesional and up to standard . I work as a taxi driver in Liverpool and as an ex bus and lorry driver can say he is the best. Seen his driving in few situations around city centre and it amazes me how he solve the problems. Keep doing the good work Ashley and I would reccomend you to buy class 2 lorry and start train new hgv drivers. When I went for a test to one of schools in Liverpool for hgv class 1 . Instructor was very poor ( don’t want to mention name of company) . But I was trained by arriva to get bus licence and finished various defencive driving courses etc. Class 2 and finnaly class one plus taxi training , pass plus etc….. With 20 years of exeprience on UK roads I can really see the difference between you and other instructors. You should start class 2 training and self defence driving courses for existing drivers. The funny part is about me I don’t know how to drive in my country as I pass on my tests in UK. Wish you all the luck and success in future work. Also make more videos about taxi drivers they are very poor in Liverpool drive like cowboys . You can use videos from my channel to educate people . Thank you

K. R.I have been doing driving lesson with Claire right through the pandemic and she honestly brightened the last year of my life. Not only is she an amazing instructor but she is also an amazing person. Day one of lessons and I felt comfortable straight away and I trusted her 100% when she woohoo guide me with instructions on what to do. I had no confidence in my own ability and now I’m a different person when driving and it’s all thanks to Claire. She went above and beyond. She’s patient in her teaching and always explains things thoroughly so you understand. Honestly is the best driving instructor. Going to miss our lessons so much.

B. M.My sons was originally with Halewood Driving school, he booked his test after confirming with his instructor for 13Sep2021. After he had come back from his holiday he phoned Halewood driving to confirm everything was ok for the test date 13Sep2021. Halewood driving school had said that he hadn’t confirmed the driving test (which was incorrect as my son had all the text conversations) with him and that he had changed his car so he would need at least 3 hours driving in the new car. Halewood driving school could not arrange the 3 hours to allow my son to get use to his car or provider he car for his test which I was totally discussed with. My son had been with Halewood Driving school for over two years, I’m totally disgusting with the company behaviour.
I contacted Jay who work for Ashley Neal driving school who my previous son had passed with first time. Jay offered to help provide a couple of lessons to get my som use to the car before having his driving test and for him to pass.
Ashley Neal “Jay” has gone above and beyond and I would highly recommend this driving school especially Jay who was fantastic and such a genuine caring person. If you want a company to help you achieve your driving success choose Ashley Neal.

J. M.Just passed first time and I couldn't think of a better instructor to have than Paul. He was fantastic from start to finish. Calm, supportive, always clear in his explanations and you never feel under pressure or rushed into doing anything you're not comfortable with. On top of all of that, he's just a great guy and a pleasure to chat to and have a laugh with. It made the whole process a lot of fun and you end up looking forward to your lessons as his style of teaching allows you to progress quickly with a good understanding of both the car and road safety. If the rest of the instructors are of the same standard (and from the other comments, it looks like they are), then there's no better driving school in the Liverpool area than Ashley Neal.

j. w.This is a great driving school, My instructor was Simon who helped me a lot though my lessons. He gave clear advice on how to drive and how to deal with problems. He helped me pass in 9 months, first time with 8 minors.
I had issues with confidence whilst driving which he helped me increase my confidence as well as my ability to drive, such as helping me calm down by talking about football and other mutual interests. I would highly recommend Simon as he is easy to get along with and a brilliant instructor.

S. M.Learning to drive with Ashley Neal - or more specifically with Simon, has seen me pass my driving test yesterday for the first time with only 3 minors. I am 28 years old and after years of trying to learn with other instructors I was making little to no progress. Once I started my lessons with Simon, my driving just started coming on in leaps and bounds. He was patient, explained everything in an understandable way and was super helpful with any questions I ever had. On time every single lesson, pleasant and very calming, I couldn't have asked for a better instructor to get me through the most stressful time of my life. I cried when I was told I had passed yesterday but Simon told me he always knew I was going to pass and it meant a lot knowing someone had that confidence in you, and had your best interest at heart to get you to pass. My partner dean took lessons first with Rob and passed first time last March with him as he was pleased with the way Rob was he then referred myself to him.
I had done lessons before many years ago but I can strongly say Rob is the best instructor around. Rob is very patient and made me feel very confident behind the wheel. I then took my test yesterday and passed.
So that says it all really with us both padding how good of an instructor he actually is with us both passing first time round.

L. S.After being unsuccessful in previous driving tests, Ive decided to switch to Ashley Neal, Uli driving instructor.
Her teaching method was the missing piece to me passing my test. She got rid of my bad old habits and gave me the confidence boost I needed to pass my test first time with her.!! Shes calm and patient, but at the same time will be strict on how you should behave on the road.

O. w. G.Started with Laura in February and I passed my practical driving test today. Excellent instructor with a keen eye for detail and the patience of a saint! Couldn’t have asked for more. I never felt rushed or pressured with Laura and each lesson was carefully structured and planned to suit my requirements each week to build my confidence and ensure all set targets met.
Laura was very accommodating when lessons had to be switched or moved around and her time keeping excellent. Nothing was ever an issue. Apart from not liking Star Wars she is top person, always friendly and I highly recommend anyone to contact her if you want learn to drive and pass your driving test.

He really taught me well how to perfectly execute manoeuvres and how to observe and take necessary precautions in advance. He gave me confidence with each driving lesson that i can be a good driver. I always listened to his advices which greatly helped me in becoming a good driver. He helped me the way i wanted and it was so kind of him. Whenever, i had any doubt about anything, he used to help me. He really worked hard to help me to acquire the best skills not only to pass the test but also how to be a responsible driver I remember, i booked my practical test without consulting him and just after having two driving lessons. It was my fault that i verbally told him about the test date and i didn't ask him to write down on his calendar so that he could be available for my test date. One week before my test date, i told him that my test is on this day. Even though he had commitments on that day and my test was early in the morning, he came for me and i passed my practical test in the first attempt. Not only he is a great instructor but also a great friend. I will definitely recommend him to my friends.

Someone recommended Ashley Neal, so i messaged them on Facebook. they put me in touch with a guy called peter Mathews. within two days i got a lesson booked and we went from there. 3 weeks later,after learning to drive a new car, learning manoeuvres i took my test. i got two minors and passed. He never let a single mistake slip and always kept on top of any bad habits, which helped me to pass first time in just under 3 months. The effort Tommy put in was second to none and was he able to find a test ready car overnight as the car I'd been learning in was involved in a collision the night before my test.He made sure you got the most out of your money by spending as little time as possible at the road side and the majority of the time driving and this was the case right from my very first lesson. He’s a brilliant instructor, very thorough with his teaching, identified learning gaps immediately and tailors each lesson to your needs. He doesn’t waste time with unnecessary lessons and is also very flexible with his timings and always tries to work around your timetable.
Don’t think I could have asked for a better instructor, and I will ask Tommy to help me with my Pass Plus in the near future. I would definitely recommend him to anyone who is learning to drive or who needs more practice in their driving!

I usually struggle to learn new things but with Rob as my instructor I flew through learning all of the manoeuvres and learning a way to drive. He makes sure you understand what you're doing and where your problems lie. Rob always done his best to help me and calmed me down when I worried I'd messed up or when I worried over my test. Thanks to the teaching and service I was given I luckily passed first time with 2 Minors that were due to nerves.
If you have had problems in the past I'd heavily recommend Ashley Neal due to them giving you a progression sheet and you can see and feel like you are making progress.
V. L.Excellent driving school and I would recommend it to anyone who is learning to drive. I passed first time in just under 4 months with Simon who has helped me massively during that time by building my confidence on the road and telling me not to dwell on mistakes which has definitely made me less nervous behind the wheel. I progressed really fast and had all the maneuvers out the way after 7-8 lessons. Simon helped me work on things I wasn't fully getting the grip of and made sure I was ready for the test.
I also enjoyed watching Ashley Neals youtube videos between lessons which showed how to deal with difficult roads in Liverpool and under the bonnet checks for the car I was learning in. Overall a great learning experience and anyone who is unsure of what driving school to go with I would definitely recommend Ashley Neal and I'm not getting paid to say this.

v. z.I had Simon as my instructor, Honestly worth every penny. I managed to pass at my first attempt because the quality of teaching was excellent, really friendly and patient instructor, builds your confidence and gives you all the tools you need to pass your test.
F. H.I had Stephen Rice as my driving instructor and couldn’t recommend someone more. I’ve had driving instructors in the past and felt really awkward in the car but I had none of this with Stephen as he’s a genuinely sound guy. He was really patient with me and wouldn’t make me feel pressured, rushed or nervous when I’d make a mistake. I failed my test the first time, and after this Stephen went through each fault with me and I managed to pass the next time. Again I can’t recommend Ste anymore. He adapts his teaching styles to you and works on your faults in a way thats really positive and productive.
P. M.Had a poor experience with a previous instructor and found it hard to find a new one until I was recommended Kurt by a family friend. Having done a few lessons roughly a year earlier I started as basically a complete beginner. 25 lessons later I've just passed my test today on the first attempt with 5 minors. Couldn't recommend Kurt highly enough, very patient instructor and gives clear and concise advice. Also goes above and beyond for his pupils, this morning he was at my house to pick me up at 6.10am for a 2 hour lesson before an 8.10 exam. Fantastic dedication!

A.Recently passed with the Ashley Neal Driving school. Martine was my instructor and I couldn't recommend her enough! Before joining this driving school I had no experience whatsoever of driving; I also struggled with my nerves and confidence. I have come such a long way and this is all with the help of Martine. As a teacher she is down-to-earth and friendly yet, at the same time, very knowledgable, experienced and committed to getting her students a pass. When I learnt with her I felt very comfortable, like being with a friend - I will miss my Friday morning lessons :)

T.Pete is a brilliant instructor. Right from the start, he was really easy to get on with, knowledgable, and glad to answer all of my questions. His use of animated tutorials, videos, and discussion to aid my practical driving experience really helped vary the lessons and tackle the learning process with a variety of approaches. Pete’s down-to-earth, non-judgemental, and encouraging teaching style really helped me to remain calm and feel supported throughout all of our lessons, and I always felt like I was in a safe pair of hands. My instructor was Tim and he made the whole process from start to finish on my lessons fantastic. From day one he gave me encouragement when I was struggling to get to grips with a few things. He also gave me the confidence to believe in my driving and improve quickly. Tim is very easy to get along with and we built a good relationship over the past few months which helped to make me feel more comfortable on the road. I failed my first driving test which dented my confidence but Tim brought me back up and made sure I would pass it second time around. Provides helpful tips that stick in your brain at all times, simplifies things to make them as easy as possible, has decent banter (aside from the millions of dad jokes) and he's a genuinely nice guy. If there were 10 stars I'd give him 9.5 only because the large circumference of his head can make observations difficult sometimes.

Barry is a proper nice guy who has a lot of patient with his pupils and gives you so much confidence, were as Tom pushes his pupil to their very limits in order for them to achieve that pass, Tom makes sure that you reach as close to perfection as possible as he makes sure that any mistakes during the lesson, wouldn't happen again by hammering it into your head, but overall he is a boss instructor.

D. N.Having been lucky to have Martine as my driving instructor, I can not thank her enough for all her patience and time she has given me making sure I ended every driving lesson on a positive. There was times i thought I'd never pass and wanted to give up. Martine would always reassure me and lift my confidence she's always goes the extra Mile for all her pupils, I seriously can't not thank her enough for all she has done for me. c.By far the best driving school in Liverpool I had ashley the main man teaching me and let me just say what a fella he was nice genuine honest down to earth fella always made me feel at ease and let me learn at my own pace and we always had a laugh and a good talk about life and to ask how I was and everything else I would recommend this driving school 110% over any other by far friendly reliable and a good price and his methods of teaching are by far iv ever experienced he had me for around 3-4 months and had me passed within that short time frame but if I can recommended anybody it's definitely ashley and the rest of his instructors would like to thank ash one last time thank you so much for being just a genuine honest reliable proper sound guy ***** star service all day from Big bearded ALEX !!!
