I had a great experience with Robert and was able to successfully pass my driving test. I needed a few driving lessons to pass my practical driving test, mostly a refresher and learning how to drive in the UK. After contacting multiple instructors without being able to even get to their waitlist, I found RSD who was able to book the classes I needed, every time there was a free slot, I’d receive a call and arrange the class. The classes were great, Robert was able to spot all my weak points and explain to me how to improve, he’s got really good resources, a folder full of explanations, pictures, etc that help illustrate and an app in his iPad that allows him to simulate any situation. We had a few mock tests that were really useful and he even helped me with tips on how to relax for the test. When I went for my test at Musselburgh test center, it was all very familiar, like in the mock tests, and I was able to pass with a compliment from the examiner about my driving. Thank you Robert!

I took one refresher lesson with Robert to prepare for my UK test, and it was incredibly helpful. Robert was very knowledgeable and really helped me pass my test. I would definitely recommend him to anyone learning to drive or, like me, needing to take the practical test as an experienced driver.

Wanted to get back behind the wheel after about 10 years not driving. A lot of places have long waiting lists, but Robert fitted me in, listened to what I wanted and I learned more about motorways, traffic light systems and safe driving than I ever anticipated. Super-friendly, fun, reliable guy and a pleasure to work with. A business well worth supporting.

I must say the best instructor in whole Edinburgh if not the whole UK! You want to have a very high chance of passing first time? He will make that possible as many have passed first try including me! Very kind, very patient, very friendly, very helpful and also very caring when it comes to wishes. He would always try and find a free space if possible when you want to meet twice a week, very patient when it comes to learning new things and very calm in any situation! Thank you very much for helping me out in the best possible way, I will always remember my journey of getting my licence as a very funny and enjoyable process!

Cannot recommend Robert enough as a driving instructor, as a nervous first time driver he always made me feel at ease. He was always flexible and done his best to fit in a lesson for me and also provides plenty information to go over at home to learn. Robert is an amazing instructor - He is very kind, patient and make sure you understand everything. His teaching methods are not only to pass the exam but also how to be a safe driver on the road. His instructions are clear, concise and very helpful. The lessons were structured to provide tuition on all the manoeuvres and driving conditions you will encounter on your day to day driving and test. Fab driving instructor! I cannot be more grateful for all the time and patience Robert took with me learning to drive! After being interrupted with COVID multiple times he always went out his way to make sure he could fit me into his schedule and get me ready for my test! I passed first time, with 2 minors, and felt incredibly prepared on the day! Although it was nerve wracking he made me feel very calm. He has transformed me from a very nervous to a confident driver! I had started my driving lessons with RSD when I was 19. Due to my own personal circumstances, I stopped lessons. But when I decided to start lessons again at 27 I knew I wanted to go straight back to them. Robert is an excellent instructor, who has a wealth of knowledge and resources at his disposal to ensure you get the most out of the lessons with him. He is patient and a very calming influence to have when you are behind the wheel (I was a very nervous driver, and ended up passing first time!) He was always punctual, and on the very few occasions we did have to reschedule lessons he always gave me plenty of notice. I always felt like each lesson was valuable- and I always spent the allocated time actually learning! I would recommend RSD to any of my friends or family without a second thought.

Having had the pleasure of being taught by Norbert for the last two years. His patience and kind nature helped me, a nervous new driver, to the point of passing my test and having the confidence to drive anywhere and everywhere. He is very professional, straightforward, friendly and has the best instruction methods. So good that I have already recommended him to several of my friends and family. Thank you again RSD!

Robert is a fantastic teacher and a real nice guy, he was able to calm my nerves and really put me at ease in my lessons. His feedback is excellent and really constructive, so when you make a mistake you learn from it. His communication when not on a lesson is also excellent (e.g. when arranging lessons/appointments/meeting points), you are made to feel like a valued customer. He was also able to give me some coping strategies to handle my pre-test nerves, so with that and his wonderful tuition, I was able to pass first time.

I used RSD Edinburgh school to do some refresher courses and get my pass plus scheme. Robert is very knowledgeable and patient instructor, that will make you feel at ease even when you do mistakes. During my refresher courses we used different routes each time, which made the course much more interesting and challenging. I highly recommend, whether you are just starting or trying to get back to it.
