Aftab is an excellent instructor. His methods are simple and effective. From the first session onwards, he is calm yet firm on feedback. I've been driving in the UK on my US license for a few months now. I'm comfortable with the roads, so I needed only about 8-10 hours of driving classes. But in these 10 hours, Aftab really helped me transform from a passive road user to someone who is active. His focus on "Awareness & Planning", a skill you need to pass the test and be a better driver is very important. Overall, I highly recommend Aftab and wish all those who learn with him the best of luck!

Excellent service. I contacted Kurshid last minute. He was able to assist me immediately and some lessons. I cried in the morning of my test and Kurshid cool as a cucumber calmed me down and told me I was the best driver in the world. Omggg I can't believe I passed. I would definitely recommend Kurshid who has 36 years of experience. We did an assessment first to test my driving and ability. Then Kurshid advised and corrected all my mistakes. I contacted AA who totally blew me off. Took payment and didn't show up for my lessons. Kurshid is professional and very prompt. I never had to chase him for a lesson or to come early. He was always waiting for me.

I have so many praises for DEC! First of all I would like to thank my driving instructor, Khurshid, who is the wisest, and most patient teacher! Called the DEC driving school after being recommended by a friend. I have wanted to become a paramedic for some time but without a manual drivers license I could not apply for my course. My friend gave me the number of a lovely man named Khurshid. After a couple of lessons Khurshid assessed my ability and recommended I did a 50 hour intensive course!! Khurshid coached me through all my driving techniques and gave me confidence which I did not have before. Despite no driving experience prior to learning with Khurshid I passed on my first time!!! My driving instructor was Aftab and, to the best of your ability, you should try and get him as yours too. He was never late, never cancelled and was very flexible fitting lessons around my schedule. Personable, kind, easy to work with, which is very handy when you are feeling stressed at the wheel. Probably one of the best things was that he was very good at understanding where I was going wrong, and why (which is quite hard to pin point yourself sometimes), and he could tailor my lessons accordingly. Ajmal was my instructor for 10 hours prior to my driving exam and he was a rockstar. I am an experienced driver (had a US license for 13 years prior to taking the UK exam). I’d initially signed up for lessons with BSM, but after 4 rather unstructured lessons there, my instructor dropped me without notice. It took less than 24 hours for Ajmal to reach out after I contacted DEC online and he stepped up to the plate with less than 2 weeks before my practical. He was very flexible and worked within my very tight schedule, while being committed to my success. He was very thoughtful and his teaching is very structured, which will give any driver the right tools for the practical exam. I passed on the first try with only 5 minors. Hi everyone, I know how difficult it’s to find a good instructor so I had to post this. I had many lessons with different instructions - it never felt right. Either instructor was only teaching for the money or clearly didn’t know what they were doing (not planned or organised as I hoped) Khurshid recommended Gunay. I was quiet impressed with the first lesson so decided to continue. Gunay is clearly very experienced, plans and can quickly pinpoints weaknesses and gives opportunities to work on them. There is a flow between the lessons. He is very encouraging and loves his job and this can be seen. He is an amazing instructor and I look forward to (hopefully) passing my test which is very soon. My instructor Sammi is truly AMAZING! He is very experienced, friendly and patience. He has a sense of calmness to him that helps me relax and reduces my nervousness while driving. He also comes on time for our driving classes and provides solid learning slots especially at the exam routes to help me familiarise myself. I had the best instructor EVER, very calm, very kind, very supportive. Khurshid believed in me from from day 1 we met. My previous instructor used to shout when I made a mistake which decreased my confidence and pushed me for a test I was not ready for. K told me from day 1 I was not ready and he encouraged me and taught so much about driving especially the Highway Code (TRUST me it’s important). He gave me so many advice not only about driving but life in general. I’m sad that I won’t be seeing him again but I’m so HAPPY that I’ve PASSED!!!!! Thank you K
