I had an amazing examiner called Phil. He was very calm, respectful and overall pleasant from the start, which significantly contributed to alleviating my nerves. He would give very clear and precise instructions throughout the test. I wish him well in his profession, and good luck to anyone taking their test. Absolutely great experience ! It wasn’t my first attempt and my stress level was extremely high. The weather conditions were not favourable which didn’t help at all. Manisha who conducted the exam was amazing! She lead the exam in very calm and pleasant atmosphere with no tension. She put my nerves at ease and I could focus on the driving. Manisha was extremely professional. Her instructions were very clear and reassuring during the test. I felt comfortable to ask the questions when needed. She was very fair and constructive in her feedback which I appreciated very much . Her attitude and energy made the exam very pleasant experience. I was delighted and thankful with the outcome! I took my driving test about a month ago. I was a bag of nerves (who would not be?). The practical test day was my birthday. Not my fault, it was the ONLY date available when I book my appointment. So, have to grab it. SIRISH was my examiner. A VERY PROFESSIONAL EXAMINER. He knows how to calm your nerves and made instructions very clearly. He allows you to be focus at the same provides a relaxed environment. And to be honest, I really enjoyed the experience. Thanks to MR.SIRISH, I was able to pass my exam the first time.

Procedure (this is on the .gov website fyi) • Waited for names to be called outside by the building so keep warm (I was sweating crazy tho). • Instructor called my name and guided me inside to sign papers and check our learners licence. • Went back to the parking area, read the the number plates to assess vision, asked tell me question • went on the route • review afterwards was explained clearly Examiner: Sirish • Such a joy to meet. Moving from the USA, I’ve been really nervous driving in the UK. The testing process is much more rigorous and intense. I started to get fear about driving and passing the test. I failed my first test in Watford. I don’t think I knew the area well enough, had not practiced enough and nervous, making me hyper vigilant and not driving smoothly and well as I have for 30 years. Taking the test os nerve wracking but Sirish the examiner put me at ease, was very kind and encouraging. The testing center has a toilet and a small waiting room. Everything ran right on time. Take many lessons getting to know the area is my advice. There are even videos on YouTube driving you around some of the routes to practice. I passed! Phew. Take many lessons in the area. It helps calm you down to know the route.

Really friendly, kind, fair and extremely professional examiner Rita. If you understand the logistics of driving and roads and you show you can do it in the safest manner you will pass and you will be treated with consideration and fairness. All staff and test centre handling covid very well! Good at ensuring you keep calm and having a chat while driving! Practice in the area before test for at least 5 days every day. Get yourself familiar with the area and dual carriageway. Rita really made me feel at ease and tried to calm any nerves. This was my second attempt and both times I had an absolutely wonderful experience at Mill Hill test centre. Shoutout to Rita! I had my driving test at Mill Hill on 26/07/21, and my examiner was Rita. I'll admit I was quite nervous as it was my first time sitting the test. Rita was really pleasant and helped me stay calm throughout the test. After a few minutes I could tell Rita was genuinely really nice and friendly. I knew that regardless of if I failed or passed, she'd be a fair examiner and give me constructive feedback. I can't speak for any of the other examiners here or other centres, but one can only hope they are like Rita. Thank you so much Rita! :)

I am very happy with the result of my driving test. I took my test on 17 September, 2020 and my examiner was Miss Shima. She did not make me feel nervous at all and I enjoyed driving with her. I was comfortable because she was calm and composite while I was driving. She is very professional and friendly and at the same time observant about the rules and regulations. I’m glad, I passed first time and thanks once again to my examiner who judged by driving and later debriefed me well. If taking your own car for driving test, you must have an extra interior rear-view mirror for the examiner, which I didn’t have however, my examiner, was very kind enough to use her own and facilitated me for which I am extremely thankful to her. I wish her all the best in her career. Once again thank you Miss Shima for being very considerate, professional and practical examiner.

Shimina was my examiner and she was great, fair in her assessment of my skills as well, I passed my driving test in May 2021. Mill Hill is a very good place to do your test as the roads are less difficult with the exception of some faster A roads which have turns that are hidden until you come close to them. Moreover there are a large number of YouTube videos which give you an idea of roads and bends etc at Mill hill which will save you many hours of driving lessons. Good luck for your tests

Although I've failed my driving test first time yesterday because of a catastrophic mistake I made where we nearly flew into the bushes (traumatising I know) and I cried hysterically all the way back to the test centre. Took the driving test at Mill Hill today. Was assigned an examiner called Paul. Standard test procedure was conducted and followed including an Emergency Stop. However, close to the end of the test, while exiting a roundabout, somewhat harsh braking was applied as a pedestrian suddenly stepped onto the crossing. There were no vehicles behind and I kept control of my own vehicle throughout the stopping maneuver. On return to the test centre, following a clean rear bay parking, I was told I had been unsuccessful due to a serious fault at the pedestrian crossing. In my opinion, this was unfair, because, I if I had not braked immediately or firmly, the event had the potential to actually become dangerous. Fortunately, it did not. I believe the examiner should have taken this into consideration and shown a little more leniency in his assessment.

Staff were polite and on time, i dont feel they want you to fail but are quite blunt, which they should as its your test, alot of of people build a rappor with their instructor then realise the person they have for the test isn't so bubbly... if you fail its usually due to not being ready, if you make a mistake on test day, even due to nerves and fail, you have to accept it as if you was let off you could kill somebody or yourself. Alot of instructors teach in different ways and not always the test standard way, they do this to keep you paying and learning as if you fail you take more lessons and rebook a test and pay again, if you fail more than twice i suggest you change your instructor not the centre. Btw i did pass :-)
