I had a really good experience with SLM. They were able to provide me with a driving instructor within a week, where most of the other places gave me a waiting time of 3/4 weeks. My driving instructor, Mr Waquar Sheikh was very professional and helpful. Always on time and never rushed me, or got inpatient. On the day of the exam I managed to puncher the tire just before the exam. He dealt with the situation very properly and drove to the mechanic and changed the tire with 30 minutes to spear before the exam. I was able to pass my exam first try ! I would like to thank SLM and my instructor for such a good experience.

I passed my test first time in Wanstead this morning. My instructor, Waqar Sheikh helped me overcome my anxiety with driving. I was a very nervous driver when I started taking lessons from him in the beginning. However after spending 32 hours driving in the past few months, I honestly couldn't possibly think of myself failing before the test. I was fortunate to find such an amazing instructor as Waqar Sheikh. 💯% would recommend anybody no matter your driving knowledge as this instructor is very patient and will explain in detail everything you need to know and do from start to finish, and will repeat it until you have mastered it and are comfortable in your ability. Has a way to explain so that you understand easily...from verbal communication down to using white board and marker so that you get a full understand of the reasoning. Overall 10/10. I could carry on about this topic all day. Very very pleased, a humbled guy and a very nice person. SLM is a great driving school to learn with but the biggest shout out goes to my driving instructor Nico. He was brilliant when it came to teaching me how to learn to drive a manual car. Not only was he an amazing instructor but as a person he is humble and down to earth. He is calm and relaxed and overall it was a good experience. I was previously using another popular local driving school in Newham and there driving instructors were okay but would sometimes lack patience. Irfan was by far the calmest instructor. Very calm and gently spoken. Takes his time to explain things and does not make you nervous behind the wheel. He was absolutely fantastic and his car is also in very good condition and modern. Lessons where a good price. The only reason I’m giving it a 4 and not 5 is because SLM test day prices are quiet extortionate. This was my second test but first test using SLM. In my previous school for test day you will pay for 2 lesson slots=2 hours which was not more than £50. But for the same time SLM charged me £85 which I really wasn’t happy about. So do enquire about how much test day costs beforehand! I ended up passing this test, so thank you Irfan

My instructor was Syed, honestly the best instructor ever! I’ve previously had 4 other instructors and none of them can compare to him. He is very patient and explains very well. Easy to get along with, and does not make you nervous if you do something wrong. Always 5/10 minutes early and never cuts the lesson short. Also I like that he doesn’t stop the car to ‘explain’ for 15 minutes like other instructors used to, to waste time, the whole lesson was spent on me driving and I used to take 2 hours at a time. My sister also passed first time with him, overall I would definitely recommend him, great instructor! Thanks Syed!

I was taking my driving lessons with another company but I was not gaining or learning anything and wasting so much money, so one of my friends that has taken lessons and passed with SLM recommended me to them. I came into the office, brilliant customer service the staff were friendly and approachable, i was given an instructor on the same day! while taking my lessons my instructor was very friendly so he made me feel comfortable to drive. He also gave me very handy tips and good methods on how do the maneuvers and important things that you will need to know for the test. This was really helpful. I passed with SLM Driving school and im so proud with the quality of teaching i was given, they also were very flexible so i was able to take lessons when they best suited me. I'm losing my words to describe how amazing my instructor was. I initially had quite few lessons from a different instructor and then I felt i needed to change.I joined SLM driving school almost learning 60% driving. But the irony is when I started with SLM Driving school, I realised I hardly learnt much from my old instructor.The instructor in SLM driving school is amazing. He is such an honest, trust worthy, supportive and caring teacher. The techniques he taught me so easy to follow and learn at the same time. Even at times when you're giving up but he won't. My driving instructor is Tanzila Gul. I have not seen any person who is so ethical as she is. My home is far off from her place and sometimes it takes her 45 min just to reach my home, but she still adjusts her time for me in the morning so that i don't get late to office. Never has she ever come late. Sometimes, if we finish off ten min early, she makes sure she covers up that time in the next lesson. She is not greedy for money or more sessions and gives her heart and soul into teaching you how to drive. She avoids using her phone / taking up calls during driving lessons to ensure I am not distracted. Needless to say, her technical skills are awesome. She does not train you to pass the exam, she trains you to drive correctly and properly on the road. She has immense patience and understanding and I cannot find a better examiner than her. Thanks Tanzila for being such a good driving instructor.

Passed first time today, all I will say is Mr anis from SLM is the guy if you want to pass first time, I only took 4 lessons with him and by the fourth I was ready, he is punctual, reliable, well spoken and dressed also calm yet alert and attentive he makes you feel comfortable and relaxed, his experience for over 20 years definately shines through and he knows exactly what needs improving and won't waste any time, his goal is to get his learner 100% ready for the test with a 1st pass guranteed, Thank you so much Mr Anis
