Raja is the sole reason I passed my exam. He is a very good teacher and explained everything very clearly making sure I was entirely comfortable with all the manoeuvres and aspects of driving. I strongly recommend him and the help he provided.

Raja at St John's Wood Driving School is someone who instils confidence in his students. He wants you to succeed! I have been driving with Raja since this February. Although our lessons got interrupted due to lockdown, it was easy to get back into driving in July with a good foundation. Raja's methodological approach worked well for me. He is not afraid to let you make mistakes in order to learn. Thanks to Raja, I not only felt well equipped ahead of my test but also prepared to take on my independent driving. I passed my driving test in Hendon this week. I would highly recommend Raja to anyone who is thinking of passing their UK driving licence in this area of London.

Raja is simply an amazing instructor. I arrived to the UK a year ago and I was looking online for a recommended instructor and I saw many good reviews about him. So I went ahead and practised with him. As a practising driver myself I had a lot of bad habits that made my mission challenging. But Raja helped me overcome these by constantly explaining the flaws. I highly recommend Raja, who is an amazing instructor. With a lot of rigour, he will not only ensure that you pass the test, but also that you become the perfect driver. On my first attempt at passing the test with another instructor, I had made so many errors due to bad habits that had accumulated and not been corrected. When I started taking classes with Raja, he continuously made me practice to correct these bad habits, and ensured that I gain in confidence. He is truly dedicated to his job, and will pay attention to every detail! I would also like to leave a special mention for his automatic car, which was very high tech and a pleasure to drive. Raja is a very good instructor. He teaches in a way that is hard to forget. It is not the typical book way. He uses stories and metaphors that is easy to remember and drills them into you. Raja is on time and uses the full two hours too make you practice and learn driving at the same time. When I went to give my test Raja instructed me to go for the test alone with the examinar. At first I was nervous and didn't think I could drive without him sitting next to me and guiding me each way. Soon after I started my test I realised that I could hear Raja's voice in my head instructing me to check my mirrors, indicate on time, look at the speed limits, etc. Very very good instructor!!! I passed my test on the first try at Mill Hill Test Center!

I just passed today with Raja! He taught me the fundamentals of driving and made sure I understood everything before developing to a higher level. I passed manual, and he made sure that I really got to grip with clutch control which is paramount and had specific activities and lessons just for it. Learning to drive was super fun, and he taught me a lot about life lessons too. I'm also sad that I've passed because he became a good friend! Recommend to anyone.

I found Raja after reading the reviews his previous students had left online. I hadn’t driven in over 10 years, since the day I passed my test. I was expecting to start from scratch again and take months of lessons. The first lesson Raja had to go through the pedals and features of the car but by the 5th lesson we were doing roundabouts and motorways. Raja is an excellent teacher - very patient and encouraging. I am a much more confident driver now than 10 years ago - after 5 lessons I joined a car club and drove by myself around London a few times and it felt like the biggest achievement. Thank you Raja!

I would highly recommend St John’s Wood driving school to both new drivers and drivers with experience outside of UK (as in my case). Raja can do a very quick assessment of weaknesses and work on your “blindspots”. His down-to-earth anecdotes were very effective and at times funny, which ensures that they stick with you, including on exam day!
