I started driving with Antonio having never set foot in the driver's seat of a car before. By the end, I managed to pass my practical test first time with only two minors. Hello, first of all i need to mention about instructor Saba, she taught me all traffic rules and show me all possible way in practice test. Passed first time in the midst of a pandemic. Clive was a great instructor. Cool, calm, collected and had great experience teaching. I went from zero driving experience to being confident in the car. Clive's experience and attitude to driving is very helpful to new drivers. One thing to note is, due to Tuga Driving School's busy schedule and the number of students, it can sometimes be challenging to schedule in lessons - so keep that in mind and book in advance. Other than that, great school and can easily recommend them.

Got my first time pass with CLIVE!! I can’t recommend this instructor enough: super patient, great explanation behind everything and confident. When I first booked my lessons, I hadn’t even passed my theory, but Clive planned my driving lessons and organised my practical in a way which made up the process so much quicker - I had my theory on 10th May and practical on 11th May- where I passed both. After lockdown eased in April, Clive had called to ensure I had all my 40 hours booked in advance to ensure maximum progress. The way of teaching didn’t feel like it was strict, but very friendly since day one rather than a teacher-student approach that can add fear to learners very easily, especially when new to the roads and driving itself. This made it super easy to get through mistakes and communicating my weaknesses. Along with this, I had requested to do my practical test with music since I noticed better driving in comparison to no music, this was a real life scenario since a lot of drivers drive with music - Clive immediately emailed to find out if this was possible - which it was - so I had the opportunity to take my test with music. The area where my test was held (Norbury) was also new to me, but it was made extremely easy to learn everything from speed limits and location to roundabouts and meet situations - through being completely consistent with booking lessons and staying committed to the learners requirements too. He started his lessons at 5am so that we could get an opportunity on traffic-free roads along with late lessons at 8pm too. 100% recommend!!!

Learning to drive can be a scary thing; especially when you’ve been putting it off for 10 years…. It takes a lot of time and dedication. Luckily, I found Tuga driving school and Clive just when I needed to. Passed my test first try today and I have my teacher, Clive, to thank for that. I’d never been behind the wheel of a car before, yet Clive got me to pass within 30h of practice. I personally didn’t want to spend months and months preparing for the exam. We went for 6h - 8h of lessons a week and that worked well for me. That said, have a chat with your instructor and figure out a schedule that works well for you. I recommend Tuga driving school. Clive will teach you not only how to drive, but drive well enough to pass your practical test with no problems.

I have just started my manual driving lessons with Clive and I can already tell that I'm in great hands. 10 years ago I had a bad experience doing my driving course abroad and just thinking of driving a car gave me shivers. I couldn’t control the stress and I thought that I’d never be a driver. Then I stumbled upon Tuga driving school where I met Clive who, through methodic and calm approach, turned me into a confident driver! Even when the situations got heated and stressful, he kept his cool (sometimes I couldn’t believe how calm he was…) and was able to guide me through them - his reassurance, altogether with calm approach helped me pass the test on the first try! We practiced the test routes and he managed to predict the exact one I had during the test, which definitely was a huge factor in me passing it. He gradually built up my confidence by challenging me more and more until those challenges became my second nature. Thank you Tuga and thanks Clive! FINALLY IVE PASSED MY TEST ❤️ For a few years now I had been with BSM and drivejohnsons and honestly felt like giving up, the lessons were going too slowly and I didn’t feel as if I was progressing as well as I did with tuga driving school, as well as this it started to get expensive. As a Critical Worker it was important for me to pass my driving test as soon as possible as I need to travel for work reasons. Luckily I was able to get an emergency driving test and Clive from Tuga driving school was up and ready to teach me and get me prepared for my test. Clive is a lively person and really made me feel confident in my driving skills as well as that his way of teaching is very chill which is exactly what I needed since I am a very nervous person. He gave me tips and pointers in places I needed to improve. Within 10 hours of lessons with Clive I had passed my emergency test at Mitcham. I highly recommend tuga driving school for both new and experienced drivers, I will never forget him.

After using a couple of other local instructors and finding their cars ran down and old, their techniques unhelpful or badly taught i had almost given up. Thankfully on a last attempt at finding a decent instructor i called Tuga driving school and had my first lesson within a week with John. I have to say i had the BEST EVER driving instructor ever hands down. My Instructors name was Clive for those that don't know him just look for a black Peugeot 208 with just two L plates on the vehicle front and back. I can guarantee you wont regret a single penny spent with him, he is very understanding, very patient and very calm, and if you listen to every Technic he teaches you, your guaranteed to pass. I had my test yesterday in the MItcham Test centre and OF COURSE I PASSED and if wasn't for Clive and the way he teaches i wouldn't be here now. I would recommend Tuga Driving School to learn how to drive. Although it's a fairly young business, Antonio takes great care and pride in his business and will give 100% dedication to you. I passed my test in the first go thanks to Antonio, after only 34hours of driving lessons. The best thing about Antonio as an instructor is his knowledge of the car, the road and the teaching methods. He is all about safety and rules (which I sometimes disagreed with) and as he says: "I do not teach you to pass your test, I teach you to become a good safe driver". From Portuguese origin, Antonio is also a genuinely nice guy and having chats with him in the car has been a pleasure. Antonio is a talented driving instructor and an extremely skilled driver. He has tutored both bus and car drivers, giving him an advanced knowledge of the road and vehicles. Unlike many instructors, he doesn't waste time 'teaching' test routes but instead focuses on ensuring that his pupils are above and beyond test-standard before the test date. Each lesson is bespoke and he asks for feedback on the tasks you feel less comfortable with to ensure that they are well covered. Additionally, Antonio takes the time to understand your schedule and how he can best work with you with regards to timing of lessons. I can't recommend Antonio enough. I passed my driving test on the first go and it was all thanks to Clive! I had never driven before and at first I was quite a nervous driver, however, after a couple of lessons i felt confident. Clive tells you and also shows you how to do things, so as to break it down and simplify it all so that you really understand what you are doing. He also gives you little tips and tricks on how to do manoeuvres that you will be tested on and he knows all the test routes inside out. At times I didn't think I was going to be able to do my lessons due to work commitments - I am a qualified lawyer and my hours change all the time. I got my license with John. John is an incredibly professional, punctual, patient, experienced and friendly instructor. He explained why drivers had to do certain things while driving in order to drive safely in London which helped me immensely in building good driving habits. This was important as I did so not so much for the sake of passing but more for becoming a safe and confident driver. John also ensured that I did not pick up bad habits along the way and corrected my mistakes promptly during lessons. While John may at times be stern when addressing my mistakes, it prevented me from committing the same mistakes repeatedly, which is what one would expect of a driving instructor. This allowed me to improve with each lesson. I took 2 lessons a week for almost one month and when I took my first test, I accumulated 0 minor faults but I failed because I stepped on the accelerator during the emergency brake exercise due to me being too nervous. Haha. I passed on my second try. In short, if you are looking to become a safe driver and pass the driving test in London, John is the man to look for.

He learned at just the right pace and soon became confident even in the most challenging London traffic - Vauxhall Cross in the rush hour anyone?! The school collects at, and delivers back to, your home so there is no driving around with another learner in the back seat. And the instructor went out of his way to support a driving test early on a Saturday morning, and booked at only 48 hours notice. You won''t get better service than that!

I did A two hour driving Lesson with Clive today and I’ll tell you iv had such a bad time with manual and the clutch and everything I wanted to do automatic but Clive told me to try it and see how I feel and if I didn’t get it then we would move on but after an hour my confidence was soo boosted and me and the clutch are now besties and he kept telling me how beautiful is the clutch and now I do believe the clutch is a stunning beautiful part of the car and it’s warmed on me majorly and I’m gonna stick with Clive as he just gets me soo motivated and hyped up for the lesson I can’t wait for the next one!!! I started having lessons with António after changing from another driving school, it took me a while to adapt to the way António tought me but he managed to get to me. If I had to choose I believe Antonio's way of teaching was much better, he pushed me to do my best, tried to get me to learn stuff as fast and safe as possible. He believes that we should keep on pushing ourselfs a bit more every lesson, that is what learning is about. I really appreciate the patience he had with me and all the resources used to give the explanations were really helpful! Not only were they helpful but he was keen on either sending or directing me to resources where I could study more. There was good organisation as well, he would plan ahead what areas would be more suitable to drive in order for him to teach me new stuff. I passed my test at my first try in Mitcham and couldn't be more happy. I would definitely recommend this school to anyone. :)

I chose Tuga Driving School to continue with my driving lessons in London, starting last October. I had previously used an instructor in Oxford and so was not a complete beginner. Antonio was an excellent instructor throughout the last 4 months and almost 10 lessons later, I passed my driving test first try yesterday. He was always very honest with driving feedback, and pushed me to try my very best, without being patronising or confrontational.
