S. N.I started to learn to drive back in September 2016 and having Rob as my driving instructor was one of the best things to have whilst learning to drive. He is such a down to earth and patient guy who always has a positive outlook on the mistakes we all make and gives good advice on what to do and improve. Overall after passing my test I felt like Rob was a friend not just my instructor.
L. W.If you're looking for a decent driving instructor - you can end your search here. I started lessons with Rob after leaving a previous instructor. He is beyond patient and extremely knowledgeable (ask him about his ROSPA Gold Driving Qualification). He goes beyond knowledge just needed for the test, adding in bits of best practice so you're beyond test standard without even realising (making the test feel much easier!). He was even able to play my driving footage back to me via an iPad connected to a dashcam and talked me through what I could have done better in various situations. It is evident that he takes pride in his work and his car, and truly wants you to pass your test (unfortunately, unlike other driving instructors). Changing instructors to Rob is one of the best decisions I've ever made, because ultimately I passed my test.

B.I was a little spoiled for choice looking for a driving instructor in Sale and to be honest was getting confused with all the offers and promises from the multitude of driving schools and "experts" in the area . Rob came recommended from another parent and after speaking with him I felt completely reassured that he would be suitable to teach my daughter to drive. My daughter has now passed her test - first time, may I add - so I'm here to say, bravo Rob! My daughter was very nervous before her first lesson, but with each successive lesson she grew more and more confident, all under the calm and experienced guidance of Rob. I knew she'd pass first time by how excited she was about her lessons and how highly she spoke of Rob compared to her other friends' instructors. I've rambled a bit...but I guess what I'm saying is: I can highly recommend Rob at Manchester Driving Lessons as a driving instructor. His rates aren't the cheapest, but that's a good thing because you get what you pay for, and what you're paying for is a really nice guy who is great at teaching people to drive properly. When I say properly, I mean not just to pass their test but to actually drive with confidence after passing their test - that's what I think is different and so does my daughter. Well done Rob!
