I had great fun whilst learning to drive, which you can’t say about every instructor. Chris was calm, approachable and out going and made me feel completely at ease whilst learning to drive. I couldn’t have passed my driving test without him!
S. T.As a parent of my daughter who learnt to drive with Chris I can honestly say I could not have asked for a better instructor. My daughter had never got behind a wheel before her first lesson and Chris made this a positive first time experience for her. From that first lesson she grew in confidence each time and always came back with a smile and pleased with what had been achieved on that particular lesson. Chris was patient, taught things in a very understanding way and my daughter genuinely built up a great student/instructor relationship that ended with her passing first time after just over 6 months of lessons.
The 1.5 hour lessons were perfect length and every lesson was so useful. He helped her confidence grow no end and I’d recommend Chris to anyone (already given details to two friends).

S.We booked a mock test for our son and Chris was very accommodating in location pick up/fitting in with college times and offering very constructive advice for moving forward with personal driving practice and with other driving instructors. We found the whole process very professional, personal , friendly and not in any way negative. We would definitely recommend Chris to anybody, our son said he enjoyed the practice, felt positive in moving forward, considers the practice advise to be very thorough and would like to book another session as it apparently went too fast!

My lessons were always very productive and he always made sure any mistakes were reflected on and everything was explained in a clear manner. He is flexible with your lessons and very understanding should anything come up. His passion and effort as a driving instructor shines through and he goes above and beyond to make you confident - whether that be through extra lessons, or answering any queries you have by text message.

O. A.I had just over 15 hours of private lessons with Chris and passed first time with 0 faults. He was very patient throughout all my lessons and taught me all the fundamentals on how to pass my test within the short amount of time I had with him. He encouraged me to drive my own car with my parents to keep lesson costs down. Chris also got my test date moved 3 months forwards meaning I could pass within a shorter period of time. I would like to say that Chris is an excellent driving instructor and made my lessons very enjoyable. I would recommend him as he is highly experienced and very professional.

He was able to squeeze me in for a few lessons even with the short notice from me. C. E.Chris is an excellent driving instructor, who I would definitely recommend. He believed in me when I didn’t and got me through my nerves. Every single driving lesson, he listened to what I would like to achieve that day and made sure I knew where I went wrong and where I should improve. As much as I am extremely happy of passing my test, I will be missing the lessons, as they were great fun. Chris has been professional in each of my lessons, whilst also making driving fun and something I will look forward to. 100% will recommend to all my family and friends.
A.Chris was very polite, patient, friendly and punctual at the start and throughout the mock test. It was a unique experience to drive Fernando, and I adapted to the new car faster than I expected.

This is someone who is kind, genuine and overall a really nice guy who teaches you everything in a professional but extremely understandable manner. I have had a previous instructor before him and unfortunately he was not doing his job properly. A friend recommended Chris and honestly the difference between him and my previous instructor is night and day. If anyone is looking for a great instructor at a reasonable price I’d recommend Chris in a heartbeat. He has believed in my ability to drive and has constantly given me faith throughout to which I extremely appreciate.

J. H.After completing a nearly week long intensive driving course with Chris I can honestly recommend him to anyone who is thinking about learning to drive. Initially Chris carried out a home visit which put me at ease and gave me a clear overview of what we might be doing whilst learning to drive. Throughout the intensive course Chris remained a friendly and calm instructor, giving me the chance to plan and direct my own learning. I was provided with a workbook that helped loads! It included space for reflection, lesson plans and tips for the test and learning to drive with handy diagrams. As the lessons progressed Chris was very positive and reminded me of the progress we had made! Very nice 🙂 I always felt confident that he was keeping me safe and efficiently teaching me all the key skills to driving, leading me to pass first time. The car was always immaculate day in, day out. Towards the end of my intensive course, Chris introduced a new post it note student area, where students could write messages to other students like handy tips and things to remember. Love this idea and can say that one or two other students’ ideas and thoughts helped me out! Thanks very much Chris! Would recommend to anyone.

Couldn’t have asked for anyone better! Chris is a wonderful instructor who really wants the best for you! He does lessons that work for you as an individual, and you are forever learning in such a positive environment.
Chris provided a wonderful book for understanding what will be covered in each lessons and also provide outstanding online practice theory tests, that will help you pass your theory! Chris is a really nice guy and a brilliant driving instructor, the lessons were all based on the areas of driving I felt I need to improve on and I passed my test first time with him! I will 100% be recommending him to everybody I know!

W.Booked a mock driving test last week to prep for my driving test- Chris was very professional and offered great constructive criticism on areas that need working on whilst also regularly commenting on the good aspects of the drive. The lesson was extremely beneficial and useful as it made me more aware of what I need to do/ not do during the test. I also got a very detailed report emailed to me the same day which is a great resource I can refer back to. 10/10 would recommend!

This training was delivered online in two 2.5 hour sessions by John Phillipson of Driving Skills Academy. Not only was the content of the course well informed and accurate, John delivered it in an incredibly accessible and engaging manner. The combined years of experience of John and his associates meant that the training was both personalised and extremely relevant to participants in Northamptonshire. John managed to find a good balance between factual delivery, meaningful interaction and time for reflection which made it easier to absorb and comprehend the content. My particular favourite was the way in which clear and pertinent examples were used to demonstrate any given point. It was great to meet other local instructors and the practicality of online delivery means you can access the training you need without the hassle of extra time and travel. Awesome work! Congratulations to John and the team :)
