I started lessons with Brian after moving to Nottingham with 5 years of learning and 3 failed tests behind me. Brian was confident he could get me driving soon from the first lesson and was encouraging me to book a test within the first few lessons. He was able to fit my lessons around my irregular work schedule, take me through all the roads and test routes and plan the lessons according to my specific needs and insecurities when driving. 2 years after my last test, I passed my driving test in Nottingham and couldn’t have done it without Brian’s direct but calm teaching. I would recommend Brian to anyone, from nervous learners like me to those who want to pass quickly and get the job done.

I came to Brian after the first lockdown as my previous driving instructor had relocated, he was accommodating, friendly and worked to get me booked in quickly. From the first lesson he put a high level of trust in me as a student, giving me the confidence I needed. Due to bad luck Brian was my 4th driving instructor, he was able to build upon my previous knowledge and really improved my driving ability, making all those easily forgettable things "stick". Brian enabled me to pass first time and I truly couldn't have done it without his positive attitude and his great teaching ability when I made a mistake. I would really recommend him, thanks Brian!

Started driving lessons just before the pandemic so have been with Brian for a good year and a half, maybe longer. Within 4 lessons (I did 2 hours), I knew all the basics and was competently driving what I later realised were test routes. Today, I passed my driving test, first time. I have no doubt that had lockdowns not happened, I'd have been in and out in a few months because of Brian's teaching style. Couldn't recommend Brian enough - a decent bloke pootling along, making a living but providing his customers with highest quality learning to get you to a test pass, first time like me. 5 stars. Give him a call (and leave a voice message if he can't answer). Get booked in. It'll be the best thing you'll ever do.

Having began to learn to drive with Brian in August 2020 to passing first time in October 2020. I can quite confidently say Brian is in the top 1% of driving instructors in Nottingham (& surroundings) From the beginning, Brian was incredibly patient with any rookie errors I made. Always remaining very clear & concise in explaining faults and how to correct them. Every lesson is structured around your strengths and weaknesses, always preparing you for your (eventual) test day. Thanks to his terrific teaching skills... Week after week, my confidence as a driver skyrocketed. To make this even better, the car you'll learn is absolutely superb too! On top of this, Brian is quite simply a fantastic person to drive with. There will never be a dull moment in the car & you'll enjoy every moment of the journey. I found Brian to be a relaxed and easygoing teacher, his approach puts you at ease and allows you to simply focus on the task at hand. The lesson time was longer than I had experienced in the past but that proved to be very beneficial as a two hour drive very quickly highlights skill gaps. Once the training needs have been dealt with and you just need miles under your belt it becomes more useful still because you cover some real distance in that time. As with learning any new skill practicing with consistency is the key so maybe take advantage of the reduced price first lesson and if you feel comfortable book in a block of hours; that will guarantee that you maintain a routine whilst also bringing down the hourly rate.

Brian. I couldnt have done it without all the support,kindness and lots of patience with me.You supported me through some really bad days it was like you knew from the moment i got in the car. You were not only a teacher but you became my counseller . The lessons were tailored around how i was feeling. When i got frustrated with bay parking you just would say you will do it next time.all i can say is that any student witll be lucky to have you.. i look forward to having the motorway course
