Outstanding on all accounts. Patient, adaptive and creative with his approach to teaching. I've had more instructors than I can count, but Michael is on a whole different level. I came to him with a lot of anxiety and lacking in confidence. Michael was able to pick apart the issues I had and never lost faith in me. Especially when I had none left. Michael is an incredible driving instructor. I had been let down by another instructor at the last minute, and Michael really saved the day. Just wanted to say a huge thank you to Mike for his help recently in passing my driving assessment using hand controls. I had been a driver for over forty years, when I started to lose function in my legs and had to stop driving, losing my independence overnight. I was lucky enough to choose Numero Uno to get experience driving with hand controls, prior to a formal assessment with Herts Mobility. Right from the start I felt at ease with Mike. He is such a lovely guy whose expert help and knowledge has been really invaluable throughout this entire process. After failing my driving test with another instructor I switched to NumeroUno and instantly noticed a massive improvement. Mike has a lot of experience with driving and is very attentive towards your performance and teaches you how to be a better driver as opposed to simply covering a curriculum, which clearly reflected on me because I felt like I was significantly improving from lesson to lesson! After passing my test first time with him I can honestly say that I feel very confident on the road, so I highly recommend him for any learner driver. On top of this mike is a joker - lessons with him felt like a right laugh!🤣

Mike's patience can't be understated and his experience, knowledge of driving and the driver's test shows. I couldn't have asked for any more of him as a teacher and always felt safe when driving with him. He showed confidence in me as a new driver from the very first lesson until the last and made sure I was ready when I took my test. Not to mention his flexibility and passion for driving. Also Mike himself is great to chat with while driving, and your lessons will definitely not be boring as he has a lot of great stories to tell, which on their own are worth the lesson fee! 10/10 would recommend.

Amazing amazing amazing! I was recommended Numero Uno by a friend after being with a really bad driving instructor, and found driving quite nerve-racking and overwhelming. After only a few lessons with Mike I was quickly put at ease, and now having passed my test feel so much more confident driving. There is a reason for Numero Uno Ltd's excellent pass rate. I'm an autistic driver with an unfortunate history of appallingly impatient instructors and misunderstood test procedures. Mike, on the other hand, is patient, motivational, conscious of the needs of others and makes the material stick. No other instructor I've had has used accessible Powerpoint reading material to supplement the practical lessons. Every other driving school should be offering the same. In summary, Mike is not just autism-friendly. He is people-friendly. I cannot recommend his school enough to any prospective learner.

Best instructor! I passed first time with only 21.5 hours of lessons. Mike is very friendly, funny and taught me everything I needed to know for the test, as well as driving day to day. Would definitely recommend!

Passed with Numero Uno a few years back now after changing from another instructor having reached the point where learning to drive was just frustrating and not at all enjoyable. Mike has so many qualities which make him a brilliant instructor. He is patient, calm, & understanding, great fun to be around and will effortlessly put you at ease. He knows how to coax you beyond your comfort zone without you realising because you're actually just enjoying yourself too much to notice! He also puts so much care into Numero Uno from selecting fellow instructors & cars to keeping up with previous clients that you know you'll always be in safe hands. I honestly can't recommend Numero Uno highly enough!
