Dan is an excellent instructor. I think it's an understatement because he is everything you will want in an instructor. He is very professional, experienced and knowledgeable with all the local knowledge in Southampton, and gives you positive reinforcement - where you did good and constructive criticism on areas you can improve. I felt the best part of driving with Dan is that he makes driving fun. It is very nerve wracking especially with new drivers like me, however he makes it light and fun - because he is a really funny person. He is also very flexible with schedule - I decide what I want to learn for the day and what to focus, where it is convenient for me to end the test. Before you make the mistake, he is already anticipating it and gives you really good tips on how to avoid them in the future. He will not just help you pass, he will make sure you are a safe driver even after getting your licence by making you unlearn bad habits and instilling defensive driving by anticipating always and being ready for the hazards ahead. Last but not the least, I liked that he is dedicated and focused as an instructor. It's easy to zone out and allow you to make mistakes after mistakes without giving meaningful feedback for hours and just be greedy about money and don't care about improvements on your driving. He keeps a notebook and take notes per student of how you progress every session - that shows dedication and that he cares about your improvement. The one I liked the most is you will not see him use his phone or answer calls - it just goes to show he does not want to miss out being an instructor and guide to you- as those few minutes might be costly and dangerous for any inexperienced drivers. I don't know how else to convince you to not get Dan as your instructor. I passed the first time without any prior driving experience. He is simply the best instructor in Southampton.

Dan is a great teacher and a mind reader! So experienced that he can recognise mistakes before you make them and will talk you through it so you know how to avoid it. The way he talks through manoeuvres and difficult roads before tackling them really helps with preparation! Dan’s calm composure is what I needed when learning to drive. I feel safe and at ease both driving with him and now that I’ve passed thanks to his lessons - highly recommend :)

Dan is a brilliant driving instructor. We had three driving instructors for my daughter before we found Dan and it’s so true what they say… ‘a good teacher makes a good student’ and Dan is just that! An absolutely excellent teacher. He kept a note of everything covered in each lesson, he was patient, calm and positive. He is also extremely reliable and a great communicator. Thank you Dan! My daughter now has passed her driving test and I have confidence knowing she is a safe and responsible driver thanks to Dan going above and beyond in all he has taught her. I highly recommend Dan.

I needed to get an UK driving license, despite being an experienced driver in my home country, so booked a few lessons with Dan. Had a great experience. Lessons were tailored around my goals, like getting rid of bad habits and learning the specifics of what was expected from me during the exam. Dan was a great driving instructor: methodical, always calm, and very funny too. Really decent prices and he always gives you the maximum time driving, and doesn't try to rip you off by talking your ear off. Actually, I think I talked HIS ear off. Best one of my 4 instructors! :)

Dan's the guy to go to if you want to pass your driving test and more importantly, if you want to learn to drive well and drive safe. He's super patient, adapts his ways of instructing to the learner's needs and abilities and has a great sense of humour which I think helps a great deal to keep calm when you're out there being a learner on the mean roads. :D He helped me get past my nervousness (which was at awfully high levels) and built my confidence to drive. I just passed my driving test, and that was even in bad weather conditions, when it was pouring down. And all credits go to Dan.

Dan was great at helping me with my parallel parking. He is very patient and calm and has a good sense of humour. I would definitely recommend him. Thank you
