He really helped my confidence with driving and was a great instructor in the way he taught. He made me feel comfortable always and did everything he could to make sure I was confident and ready for my test. I just passed first time! Would recommend
D. G.When I was first looking for someone to learn to drive with, I read lots of reviews online to try to help me with my decision. I chose Lendrum’s driving school because of their intention to help students pass first time, and because they were rated so highly among Southampton driving schools.
I was so lucky to be placed with Refat, who just happened to have had a space open up when I messaged. Refat has seen me through from the stage of not even knowing how to turn the car on, right the way through to passing my test.
When I first started learning, I understood that it is a big deal to be in charge of driving in a safe and responsible manner and was scared about doing it wrong. Refat gave me clear instructions on how to operate the car, and, crucially, the confidence to do it well. She was very patient with me at all stages of learning to drive, from the beginning right up until the day of my test.
Refat gave me fantastic advice on remaining calm and confident when driving, as well as on the technical aspects of driving. I often now joke with her about how I could do with a dashboard Refat to continue to give me excellent reminders when driving now that I have passed!
I have thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience of learning to drive with Refat, and more valuable than even the pass itself is the fact that I feel I have gained a wonderful friend who has helped me in my driving goals and listened to my stories over this period of learning to drive.

A. S.I have been taking my driving lessons with Zelaka. In the beginning I had zero driving confidence to drive in the uk but as from the 1st driving session she managed to help me gained my confidence. What I did find very helpful is that she ask you to rate yourself everytime and it helps so so much.
She is a very kind and friendly lady. She will never stress you while you’re driving if you made a mistake. On the contrary she shows you how to keep calm and not repeat the mistake. She is the best best and I strongly recommend her to any new drivers or existing drivers who are looking to pass their uk driving practical test. I passed mine with zero faults. She makes you become the most confident driver.

D. J.I recently passed with Zelaka, and I want to talk about the positive impact she had - and the confidence she gave me that allowed me to pass. I started off in January 2022 and was nervous and unsure, but Zelaka was calm and confident - and made sure that I felt good behind the wheel of her car. My confidence would dip in and out, due to personal circumstances, but Zelaka always made sure I knew that I was doing a good job. She is calm, patient and can explain things in ways that other instructors have failed. I wanted to pass by September due the potential of a new job - and aimed for this. Sadly due to personal circumstances I had a period without lessons, but once back behind the wheel, I was again made to feel calm and confident and even through I was making nervous errors in the lead up to my test, Zelaka was positive and believed in me and made me feel good. The day of the test arrived and I was a bag of nerves and had built a lot of pressure around getting this right, but a 10 min chat before the test and I felt good - we went on a calming drive and then it was the time of the test and I passed with just two minors - and all the pressure I felt left me and I realised that Zelaka had prepared me in the most incredible way and I can do this - just as she had told me. I haven't posted a review yet as I wanted to drive independently and feed back how her support and lessons helped me - and all I can say is everything she has taught me has made me a confident and happy driver and I am so glad I went to Lendrums and I know that my success is also that of Zelaka and I cannot thank her enough. If you want to drive (automatic) ask for Zelaka! You WILL pass! Thank you John, thank you Zelaka.

After losing my confidence in my late teens, and returning to driving at the age of 25, Abde really helped to build my confidence back up. Having had a really bad experience with a different male driving instructor, I was really nervous about starting again, Abde made me feel so comfortable and at ease.

However, Matt is so relaxed and such a great teacher that I started to learn really quickly. J. S.I had previously worked with 3 different instructors over 10 years and gave up each time, I never thought driving would be for me and was so nervous to try again but decided it was time. Nathan was so calm and collected and I always felt relaxed during my lessons and never went away dreading the next lesson. If i made a mistake he helped me to understand why and how and would take the time to make sure I fully understood where I was going wrong. Absolutely cannot recommend lessons with Nathan enough, 11/10 would learn to drive again.

r. r.I've recently passed my driving test, all thanks to Zelaka! I've briefly driven in a different country (right side of the road, no speed limits, no roundabouts... Basically survival of the fittest 😂). Zelaka was really patient with me and (somehow) made me reverse all the bad driving behaviour that I learned before hand. Explained everything in calm and collected manner. She always had a lesson plan and and drew diagrams to get her point across. She was friendly and always put me at ease before driving and made sure I was relaxed. She pays excellent attention and only intervened in moments she felt were dangerous. She didn't want to just get me test ready, she genuinely wanted me to be a good driver. She also has excellent knowledge of the roads in and around Southampton, she'll take you anywhere better than any SatNav. I'm very grateful that I passed but I'll actually miss her lessons. I definitely couldn't have done it without her. I wish her all the best and will definitely recommend her to anyone considering driving an automatic car!!

He was so patient with me from the beginning and I felt really comfortable learning with him especially after giving up with learning to drive 7 years ago. K. R.Happily recommend Lendrums & lessons with Andrew in particular. Andrew was professional, very friendly, encouraging, and infinitely patient whilst I became more confident learning to drive, first in his car, then we shifted to lessons in mine. He has an astonishing knack for getting you to X location on time at the end of your lesson, such is his knowledge of Southampton's roads & traffic. Lessons were structured on either his estimate of what I needed, or my requests for practicing certain manoeuvres or conditions, and we also did some test run throughs as well. In the end - through lessons with Andrew, practicing with family, and app/theory revision - I passed first time with 1 minor. More importantly I'm now out (mostly) confidently driving on my own.

Abde taught me before the national lockdown and despite having to stop and start lessons continually I made good progress, he really went above and beyond to help me calm and believe in myself for my test. I can't thank him enough, He supported me patiently from being a beginner to feeling very confident on the roads. His instructions are very clear and to the exact point. I would recommend him to anyone who wants to drive at any level.

Martin explained everything very clearly and my driving progressed rapidly throughout the week. He was very professional and flexed the lessons to my needs. He help me overcome my nerves and allowed me to have confidence in areas that I had previously struggled with. I was very impressed by the service Ledrums and martin provided. Professional, efficient and worth every penny.
I was able to pass first time due to the thoroughness of the lessons.

J.From first inquiry to passing my test - my experience with Lendrums driving school has been excellent. I chose to do an accelerated course lasting just under 2 months with Craig. After having a very poor encounter with my first instructor elsewhere, Craig was a very supportive and calm instructor who made my learning experience incredibly fun and enjoyable. Craig's general persona throughout the lessons has encouraged me to be a confident driver and is a huge factor behind me passing first time.

T. M.After searching for automatic driving schools in the Southampton area, I came across Lendrums Driving School. John was quick in responding to my enquiry for lessons and with only a short wait, I soon started my driving lessons.
I initially had lessons with Ali, until he left a few months later however; John helped in allocating a new instructor (Esan) not long after.
Esan has been a great instructor, incredibly patient and has always coached me during each lesson. Esan has helped me build my confidence, teaching me the skills required to be a safe driver. Esan has also been flexible in arranging weekly lessons that fit around my working hours.
I had tried my driving test in November 2019 but unfortunately failed. However; Esan helped me to work on my development areas and am pleased to say I passed my test today, my second attempt! For anyone who is nervous of the Southampton roads, keep going... you can do it!

John is very professional and has an excellent sense of customer service with regards to running a business. I can honestly say that my driving instructor was very client centered and professional. I would recommend not only the company but also my instructor to anyone in the area.
Previous experience of booking the instructor and lessons were disappointing, however that was quickly addressed as John was in touch immediately.

Martin is always calm and helps you learn to be on the road alone safely which is what the examiner is looking for. He allows you to get lots of driving time. Instructors with other companies I've tried are high tempered or just talk at you for hours on end.

Explained everything clearly and was quite laid back and let me get on with the driving (unless it was absolutely necessary for him to intervene! ) Took me round the test routes to get me used to the area and after 30-40 hours of lessons I passed second time with 7 minors. John suggested using his automatic car and to my surprise.. it was a fabulous little black Mini! I felt so at ease and comfortable driving a smaller car plus not having the extra worry of thinking about changing gear. John in powered me in his way of teaching with a series of confidence boosting driving exercise. His relaxed personality always made me focus on the pros in my lessons rather than the cons and he always congratulate me on doing well, I found my lessons with John extremely enjoyable.
After passing my test I decided to do the
"Pass plus" with John Lendrum as I felt it is most important to learn proper Motorway skills instead of driving into the unknown. And for a new driver the motorway can be terrifying. John showed me the correct way of entering and exiting a motorway, how to "give it some welly!" when over taking large vehicles. Speed control also the dangers of over and under use of it! Lane edicate and junction knowledge as it's a hole new ball game on the motorway! Thank you Lendrums for giving me the life skills and confidence to become safe driver.

T. K.After several bad experiences with other driving instructors, I was a little nervous to get back into learning. Lendrums was well reviewed, so I decided to give them a go. The lendrums website has lots of helpful information on it, as well as being easy to find an instructor suited to my area.
I was paired with Lisa, who has been nothing short of a miracle.
Her patience and knowledge of driving meant I was at ease straight away.
Lisa has been brilliant, teaching me everything to do with driving, being incredibly kind, and is always chatty and we have built a great learning relationship which resulted in me feeling at ease, learning lots as I go.
I cannot reccomend lendrums or Lisa enough. They are the reason I'm on the road!
