Had my second attempt here. The test centre was fairly busy but I did not run into other test takers during my test as the test routes are fairly spread out. The examiner was Andrew a very nice guy, made sure I was calm during my test. Would recommend this test centre if you know the area.

My driving examiner was called Dene. What can I say about Dene.. he was a top bloke! Made me feel at ease from the get go! Had a laugh and calmed my nerves then off we go. He was professional always and I cannot fault him at all! He is doing an amazing job! He should be proud and so should the test centre.. hire more people like Dene!!

Passed my first attempt at the test with one minor. My test examiner Nick was really nice who put my raging nerves at ease. Several covid measures were in place which the examiners thoroughly observed. If you're using your own car, make sure to really clean your vehicle inside and out!

The centre deserves 5 stars, no reasons really to give less. If someone fails a test it’s their fault, not test centre’s. Staff is all right, facilities are as expected, quite comfortable parking. Pass rate is round about 43%, less than national average ~ 45% and less than in another test centre in Southampton - Forrest Hills (~46%). Roughly 15 test routes go through the most trickiest parts in this western half of Southampton, and include Tebourba Way, Millbrook Roundabout, Dale Road and some of them extend to Chilworth, North Baddesley and Totton. City centre apart from some roads around Central Station, motorways like M271, M27 and M3, Romsey and further parts of New Forest aren’t included in test routes. They’re not published officially but can be found and downloaded onto SatNav from Internet. This test centre contains the most difficult road conditions in Solent region, though >500 learners attempt car driving tests every month. Test centre doesn’t communicate with customers’ queries directly and during Covid situation many precaution measures must be adhered to.
