I was very anxious about learning to drive but Darren was patient, so friendly (I'm actually going to miss our chats every week haha!) and explained everything clearly. He never made me feel bad about any mistakes and was concious of the areas I needed to improve on. His guidance and encouragement really helped to build my confidence and I felt prepared for my test which I just passed today with only 2 minor faults! :) I can 100% reccomend Brighton Driving Lessons!

Darren is a fabulous driving instructor that helped me pass my test on my first attempt in 7 years. After a prolonged break from learning and also going through a challenging personal matter at the time, Darren was incredibly supportive and accommodating of all my needs. Can’t recommend Darren enough. Despite the stop-start nature of our lessons due to Covid and lockdowns I passed my test this week with only 1 minor. I couldn’t have done it without Darren’s tuition which was calm, patient and understanding and most importantly fun! Darren delivers informative and precise lessons on how to drive, in a very much appreciated relaxed and natural environment. It feels like you’re learning how to drive from a friend more so than an ordinary instructor! I was amazed at how well equipped I was when it came to test day, and I was easily able to pass on my first try! Thanks to Darren’s tips and ability to make me feel confident and at ease behind the wheel. Another bonus was that the test pretty much followed the roads I had already driven on plenty of times during my lessons with Darren. I would recommend Darren’s lessons to anyone! And truly thank him for his hard work and patience which allowed me to pass first time!

Darren is a professional driving instructor. In the first session, you can easily feel that he is really enjoying his job and he does his best to make sure that you learn the skills and gain confidence for your practical tests. He pays attention to details and has a great approach for teaching. He is punctual and with discipline, alongside with positive energy and sense of humour. I used to drive in another country and on the other side of the road with different rules for driving! Naturally, I had wrong habits while I was driving and Darren helped me to modify my habits and adopt the right techniques. I had a very positive experience and I successfully passed my practical test. If you are thinking to choose a professional driving instructor, Darren is the right choice with no doubt.

I attempted driving lessons when I was 17 and had a rubbish experience so much so that I put it off for a further 8 years. I had multiple friends recommend Darren to me and when I finally felt like it was time I messaged Darren to see if I could start my lessons with him. I was really nervous about driving but I couldn’t have been put more at ease with Darren. I couldn’t recommend him enough if I tried. He is professional, patient, friendly and a great teacher. He made my lessons enjoyable and something to look forward to, he never criticized my mistakes and helped me understand the car, the road and other road users. I progressed and learnt something new every lesson, my time never felt wasted. I passed both my theory and practical first time and that’s definitely down to Darren so thanks for teaching me one of life’s greatest skills!

Tom is an amazing driving instructor, as his extremely high success rate proves. I really enjoyed my lessons with him and he made me feel at ease behind the wheel with his fun, relaxed and down to earth approach. If I had trouble with a particular manoeuvre or technique, he would take the time to practice it with me patiently, until i got it right. His practical knowledge is second to none, and he really knows how to relate driving theory to everyday situations on the road. He knew exactly what i needed to do to pass my test...and I did...First time! I cannot recommend Tom and Brighton Driving Lessons highly enough!

I’m very happy Rob was my driving instructor. He teaches driving techniques effectively and cured my problems with steering within our first hour, and he also does a great job of understanding what it feels like learning to drive (occasionally terrifying for both of us, I think!) and explaining how this can affect your driving, so that you learn not to let it. He did a good job of knowing when to stretch me and when I needed a break and didn’t wait until I had perfected everything before starting to make me feel responsible and independent as a driver. He’s also genuinely a really friendly guy, and has lots of entertaining stories, so if you are ever feeling down about not being able to do some manoeuvre or something you can at least feel glad you’re not being blinded by the light from a welding torch or thrown into a wall by a bolting horse!

I can’t imagine anyone that wouldn’t enjoy driving lessons with Tom! He’s a funny and friendly guy, who’s laid back approach made me feel at ease from day one. I think that I was quite a slow learner, but Tom was great at recognising those areas that I was struggling with, and demonstrating admirable patience as we worked on them until I got them right! He would also use innovative ways to help me overcome mistakes that I was making, which I still use now on a day to day basis. I passed on my second attempt, and thanks to Tom this was just in time for my new job in Chichester, which I drive to every day feeling calm and confident on the road. I would highly recommend ‘Brighton Driving Lessons’ to anyone, but particularly to those who feel apprehensive about getting behind the wheel- this is definitely the guy for you!
