I would highly recommend James from Kangaroo driving school for anyone wanting to learn to drive. My experience learning to drive with James has been extremely positive when comparing this to my previous driving instructor. For instance, I feel like he trusts my driving ability more. James is very patient and understanding, as he will explain where I went wrong and what adjustments I can make to avoid committing the same mistake again. Furthermore, James will allow me to keep practising until I have addressed the error, which gives me confidence. For instance, previously I always struggled with the timing of roundabouts as I wasn’t sure what gear to select. However, with his expert advice of aiming for 10 miles an hour in gear 2 just before the roundabout, I have managed to overcome these problems and perfect roundabouts. This has increased my confidence and therefore has allowed me to progress more dramatically than before. Thanks James!

I have just passed my test on the first attempt with 0 minors, so a massive thank you to James! I've had disappointing experiences in the past with a couple of instructors, not helped by the pandemic, but James was a breath of fresh air when I found him. He was committed to my development and I really enjoyed the process from start to finish. During times where the wait for a driving test is 5 months, James was flexible and planned the frequency of lessons perfectly to leave me fully prepared and ready to smash the test. I highly recommend Kangaroo Driving school.

I cannot recommend James from the Kangaroo driving school enough to anyone who is wanting to learn to drive in a professional and fun environment. I have had other driving instructors in the past, and have failed a few driving tests before the pandemic, this has led to my confidence falling through the floor, and being nervous and anxious about the idea of driving, let alone a driving test!! However James is really good at explaining every aspect of driving techniques and manoeuvres, which boosts the confidence of the student. This is further helped by his knowledge of teaching methods, he will adapt his teaching to match his student needs, therefore providing the best driving instruction I have had the pleasure of receiving.

I’ve been learning with kangaroo since last October and they are very friendly, kind and patient making sure you’re confident in an area before moving on to learn another. If I am stressed during a lesson they talk with me to try help me with what I am stressed about so it doesn’t affect my learning and I feel safe when driving as I know I can trust them. Still learning with them, I feel confident with my driving and could not have asked for a better instructor as they go above and beyond what is expected. I highly recommend them.
