F. G.Phil Pro Electrical worked on our lined sailaway to fit a solar, alternator and lithium system in autumn 2022. We had been recommended Phil by the other in-demand lithium specialist on the cut, Ed Shiers. From our first chat, it was clear Phil was an expert in the nuances of lithium and gave us several hours of consultation to perfect our plans. As well as this, Phil bent over backwards to accommodate us when our build completion date kept getting pushed back.
On arrival to the boat, Phil and his excellent team of Deano and Sam showed themselves to be hardworking, conscientious and efficient and to have incredibly high standards. It was lovely to get to know this group of warm and fun people. They completed the planned work and also helped us with a few unexpected surprises along the way. We now have a lovely solar array and alternator, both finely tuned to supply our lithium batteries and feed the 12v and 240v demands of the boat.
We cannot recommend Phil, Deano and Sam enough, and we would get them to do the electrics of all our future boats. Our only constructive feedback would be to tell Phil and Deano to take a weekend off now and again!
S. L.Phil Owen had been recommended to me by a complete stranger i met whilst out cruising last summer. I am skeptical by nature and rang around several installers to discuss options and pricing. However, after speaking to Phil for a few minutes my inner skeptic was silenced (and, finding itself lost for words, went off to a corner to sulk by itself).
Phil and his friendly, professional team turned up when they said they would with be best fitted and well stocked works van I've seen. They installed everything in the neatest, least obtrusive way possible, (I've never seen such tidy cabling) and explained a lot about how electrical systems work whilst doing so. Afterwards I was given a thorough lesson in how the whole system works and how to read, understand and use the monitoring and control panel and associated remote access app on my phone.
I am not easily impressed and rarely give reviews for anything at all. But... after meeting and dealing with Phil and his team of PRO Electrical Marine, I find myself compelled to come on Google reviews and give the following assessment:
If you want/need a solar electrical system installation, for whatever reason, you would be foolish not to call Phil Owen of PRO Electrical Marine. They are the best by far!

S. B.Absolutely brilliant installation of solar panels, lithium batteries, lights and plug sockets back in May 2022. I was very much clueless as to what I needed and Phil took the time to discuss what I wanted to power and how I intended to use the boat in order to advise on what set up I'd need in order to use things like a fridge, washing machine, microwave and even a portable radiator. They kept me updated daily and worked really cleanly. They even came back when I was a good half hour walk along the canal to complete a fitting rather than require me to move back into the marina, and they were very tolerant of my boisterous dog too!! I had a quote from both Pro Electrical and the marina and was very happy with my choice. Phil really knows his stuff, he's passionate about what he does which is why I went with them and can honestly say I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Pro Electrical.
I. D.Phil and Dean installed lithium batteries on my narrowboat recently. They arrived on time, and were the consummate professionals. They went above and beyond expectations by also installing a method for me to have hot water, utilising the new system.
Everything was explained in ways I could understand (forget watt hours think coffee machine hours). I'm only sorry I didn't have any biscuits to offer these two hard working engineers.
I'm now enjoying the game changing benefits of lithium. Thank you so much...I'm very happy.
