This is my first purchase from SGS and I have to say I am impressed. Prompt and courteous customer service (thank you Stacey). The quality of the product (4 wheel dollies) is superb, well worth the money and I am sure capable of supporting 450kg per wheel. I will use them at the weekend and if any problems will update this review.

I bought a SGS Mechanics 8 Drawer Tool Box Chest & Roller Cabinet STC1000 for £109.98. The order process was good and the free next day delivery was great. The item was well packed and would of required some serious mishandling by a courier to become damaged(mine arrived in perfect condition). I was very impressed with the quality for the price to be honest. I wasn’t expecting it to be so good. Unfortunately I found that I was missing a couple of foam draw liners. I emailed SGS and they were extremely helpful and efficient and posted a couple out to me. I personally can’t fault the buying process, good or customer service I have received. Happy to recommend them.

Originally bought cabinets from US pro Tools and they kept arriving damaged, even the replacements were arriving damaged. Told them to stuff the lot and give me a full refund. I ordered the 72 inch stainless steel cabinet with back board and cupboards. Oh I'm so glad I did, it is truly amazing quality and well packaged, I absolutely love it. This was the first time I've bought from SGS. The quality of the items ( a paid of 3 ton jacks) was much better than I'd expected. They're very substantial items for a price which was much cheaper than the others I could find online. They matched Amazon for the speed of delivery as well. I can't fault them and will probably be back - although I won't be back soon for jacks because these ones look like they'll be handed down to my children and grandchildren. Superb.

I judge company by the items they sell and the after sales service and SGS is five stars all the way. My tool chest arrived damaged in a small area it was packed well but the courier didn't take care. These things happen and SGS replaced the top part very quickly and answered the phone and emails promptly. The unit itself is way better than it looks on the website and I'm very pleased with it, looks like I will be a returning customer. Thanks SGS.

SGS Engineering a first class company Just purchased a compressor from SGS at a super price and it was delivered very quickly. The compressor was excellent value for money and to have it delivered for the same price. I was kept advised at all times as to what was happening and the delivery company were professional putting the compressor where I needed it. There has been a minor problem, but the ladies in their support team dealt with it very quickly and made sure I was happy with the outcome.

Needed a Milwaukee Impact Wrench urgently for a project, and Milwaukee didn't have stock. Decided to use SGS to purchase the tool instead, ordered on 2pm Monday, arrived on Wednesday morning first thing. Can’t fault this place. I had a quotation from another supplier, whose customer service was pretty poor despite me spending around £1k. I decided to use a company who wanted my business and came across SGS. I dealt with a lad Ryan who was very outgoing, price matched my quote and had the products sent out on an overnight delivery. I wanted a good quality tool cabinet for home use. Amazon had a few but the reviews suggested the quality of construction was poor. I found SGS Engineering on a Google search, and was impressed by the reviews of their products. I found a tool cabinet which looked ideal and ordered it. Delivery was quick - as promised - and the build quality is excellent. I couldn't find the handles for the tool chest and contacted Customer Support, who politely asked me to check ALL the drawers, and if they weren't there they would send me some out. I did find them. I'm very happy with the tool cabinet and it works very well to store almost all my tools - the only things left out are a 1m ruler and a long cross-cut saw.

Only reason I have give 3 stars is because one order was bang on time. Now just getting rubbish about their couriers. Fed up of people still using the pandemic as an issue when everything is almost 100% normal. Asked when I will have my delivery and answer at some point at the end of the week. As another post states you are meant to get a delivery slot but still haven't received the email. So my guess is they have not shipped it. Very disappointed

I purchased a garden multi tool from SGS and the product arrived on time and undamaged,the first couple of times of use I was generally impressed with it and the engine is powerful.However I went to use it again and the pull cord snapped I thought this would be an easy fix so rather than sending the machine back I decided to fix it myself,I reconnected the cord no problem but it would not recoil it appears there is a fault with the mechanism.I Telephoned customer service and explained the issue and was told no problem we will send you out a replacement unit I was more than impressed with the service until the next day I receive an email asking for me to send photos which I did, then I received another email saying they are happy to send me the replacement part if I pay the postage so I phoned up and paid the postage.A week passed and no part so l contacted them again asking for an update to be told we don't have any in stocks and are waiting for them to be delivered so I ask what is your expected lead time only to be told we don't have one!!! So now I'm stuck with a machine I've only used twice and based on what customer service are telling me I don't know when I can use it again.I find it hard to believe that they don't have a single spare pull cord mechanism in their factory.

Looked for ages for a Hydraulic trolley jack suitable for my home use but which would NOT fall to bits after first use - came across SGS Engineering site and saw their various offerings including the various "packs" ie. Jacks with axle stands / Decided to buy a Jack and 2 stands - the ordering process was easy to follow and complete AND I was kept informed throughout the ordering and mailing process, which happened very quickly. The items arrived and they are excellent quality, the jack appears to be very well built and components are made of steel not plastic, the handle is long and sturdy and the jack rises very quickly with what appears to be a few strokes, the axle stands are sturdy too and I like the fact they have the secondary safety feature of the steel pegs attached and I am looking forward to using them. Great service, I have recently purchased my third Trolley jack ( I gave one away to a friend in need ), I have the 2.5 in ali. and low profile both give great service, not been disappointed with any of the service I have received from SGS Either in sales or after sales support, rapid delivery is also a bonus.These jacks perform as well as more expensive brands I have used in the past 40 plus years in the motor trade and my personal life.

After searching around tge internet for trolley jacks to replace my failing jack. I stumbled upon SGS Engineering. Dubious at first as never heard of them or the company and after lengthy searching and social media reviews i ended up buying a 3 tonne workshop trolley jack. The quality of this is way above and beyond the one i currently have. A new weapon in my arsenal to keep my old timer of a car on the road. Next working day delivery (however i ordered over the bank holiday weekend) i got it day later, no issues with that. Company themselves cant fault. Definitely will order from again

My wife bought a tool chest as a birthday present for our son that arrived damaged. We called them and asked for a replacement part or discount and was told that she would call us back as she wasn’t sure if they could and if not would issue a partial refund. No call back or answers to emails or subsequent calls. We have now raised a PayPal dispute. I’m sure if everything is ok with your order they are a good company, but when anything is wrong their response is lousy!!! Update They have eventually resolved the issue!

3-Ton trolley jack - Good heavy-duty trolley jack. Used it already on Audi A6 (2002) and it made the job much easier than the cheaper and lighter 2-ton jack that I got from Halfords, although that was OK for the cost. This SGS one was 75% more expensive but several times better, a very substantial jack.

I decided to buy an SGS petrol strimmer even though I have a small garden as I knew it would last me years. I read many reviews, the SGS strimmer scored high marks and was also great value for money. I have now used it 3 times both on mine and my neighbours grass, it is superb and the harness helps me cut level and consistent. Audi TT Mk 3 Tailgate gas struts The SGS website was very helpful and I was able to easily identify the correct replacement tailgate gas struts for my Audi TT Mk 3 from the original numbers on the failed ones and the delivery options were helpful. The replacement struts are fitted with new style easy-fit threaded and clip on ends. Delivery was fast and it took me less than an hour to install with most of the time due to removal of the old ones. I recommend some great help from a YouTube video for a similar fitting on a TTS. Very good value for money and the new struts work fine, as new. Thanks Alan

Delivery within 2 days seems sturdy enough would help if they didn't hide the assembly instructions under taped down boxes. Well packed maybe a little overly done ( more plastic bags than Tesco!) considering it was a tool box and will probably suffer abuse when i cannot remember which drawer the screwdriver is in - a lot to choose from.

Ordered a 2.5 ton low-profile trolley jack. Was dispatched promptly with next day delivery. DHL was atrocious, including a bank holiday weekend it took DHL 10 days to deliver. Jack was damaged or broken on arrival. Avoiding DHL like the plague. I returned the jack to SGS. The Al-ko gas strut failed on my 20 year old Sterling Europa caravan handbrake and it is not available as a spare part. I contacted SGS Engineering (Robert Jansen Van Vuuren) and they were able to make a bespoke gas strut using the Al-ko dimensions and force rating. I have installed this and everything is working as new. I have used SGS Engineering before, having replaced the gas struts on the Heki roof window. SGS are always very helpful and has excellent customer service second to none. Many thanks to all at SGS Engineering.

Excellent company to buy from. Just an easy place to get decent kit at good prices. I've smashed my bank account in their black Friday sales in the past couple of weeks and saved a decent bit of cash to trick my brain into thinking I can spend the savings on more kit... Ordered a 50L compressor and it was delivered next day. Upon commissioning, the compressor leaked air as the manifold was cracked. I immediately contacted SGS support (with photos) and they offered a replacement manifold. Being an Engineer, I thought this would be the simplest solution all round. Nearly 3 weeks on and 8 emails to SGS support, no replacement part has transpired and my follow up emails are now being ignored. Clearly, after sales support on faulty items is seriously lacking.....unlike many of their competitors. My advice is look elsewhere. UPDATE 15/12/21: My review prompted a response from SGS and I have now received replacement part.

SGS. 8 Drawer tool chest and cabinet. Arrived before time, Sturdy package, Very solid well made chest and cabinet. I was expecting a lesser quality set for the price and was very pleased to find it was easy to assemble with the instruction booklet. As a Professional Gardener I use a multi garden 4 in 1 tool regularly the SGS garden multi tool is not only great build quality it has a powerful engine which some other tools lack , the tool comes with an amazing 3 year warranty which speaks volumes as to the confidence SGS have in the product . The pruning chainsaw is virtually the size of a small stand alone chainsaw which is obviously backed up with the powerful engine . All in all in comparison to other similar products on the market the price and quality would be hard to match , its also made in the UK which is another reason why I recommend it . Absolutely delighted with this company and customer service. Having never used them before I found them on the Internet after the gas bonnet strut on my Renault car had failed. The car manufacturer wanted a ridiculous price of over £50 for supplying a replacement. SGS were able to source me a quality made one for a third of the price which included delivery. I've been a bit sceptical at the beginning due to the negative feedback seen in some customers reviews as I was going to buy a full set and refrain from risking it. But have been pleasantly surprised by their response and effectiveness. Bought a Milwaukee M18FSAGV115XPDB-0 FUEL which Offered the best deal from the market at the time of my searches. The package arrived approximately in time as the holidays posed in between, ordered on the 23rd, so delays were expected. Arrived on the 31st. of December. The package was complete as Advertised. I have had a SC100V compressor (bought through Amazon) for a number of years and it has given good service in a harsh environment until a couple of weeks ago when a problem developed. Bought the 52cc petrol strimmer with cutting disc. Unbelievable price. A bit heavier in weight than the market leaders, but for the price and how well it worked, it's not an issue. My 'go to' place for petrol brushcutters. I manage a number of my own woodlands and spend a significant amount of time clearing undergrowth, including bramble, gorse and birch saplings. I use a range of standard tri-arc and oregan heavy mulching blades, as well as clearing saw discs. I've bought a number of the mainstream brands over the years with varying degrees of disappointment. The SGS machines (I've bought the standard and low vibration brushcutters over a number of years) have been at least as good and in most cases substantially better at a lower price. They're a little on the heavy side but are sturdy, reliable and powerful - so, SGS, please don't lighten them by switching to flimsy alloy! The new harness is much better than the usual rubbish you get with budget machines - my only gripe is the leg protector which tends to ride up with the cutter shaft and pinch my leg but that's maybe just my lack of height! Tip to the unwary, if you have a warm starting issue - particularly on a recently purchased machine - clean the spark plug - 99% of the time it's the plug. Good range of spares are available too - although it'd be really nice if you could buy a new lower shaft, blade guard and blade guard bracket as these are the parts that have eventually failed on my older machines after a long and hard life - now building up a collection of redundant engines! Well done SGS - good product, good value, great delivery and after-sales support.
