5 star service as usual, why go anywhere else. Can't fault Jim at all. Further update on previous review. My 3D Samsung was switching on and off and had a mind of its own. Took it to Jim at JSL electronics. He diagnosed the faulty and fixed it quickly at a great price. I wouldn’t go anywhere else or trust anyone else with my electrical goods. My ageing Linn Karik CD player had a major problem - the CD tray wouldn't open! I found Jim's company mentioned in a Linn forum, and discovered that this was a not uncommon problem, and that Jim had carried out similar repairs for others, with good results. I contacted him several months ago to see if I could send the Karik to him, as I am living in France. Unfortunately lockdown here intervened and it was not possible to send recorded delivery items over 20€ (even after all this time, the Karik is still worth quite a bit above that figure!), so everything went on hold. But a few weeks ago the restrictions were lifted, and I sent the Karik to Jim. I received the Karik back a few days ago and it works like a dream. As well as replacing the parts that had failed, it was given a thorough clean, lubricated and generally given a new lease of life. All at a very good price, especially considering what a unit of comparable quality would cost to source. I would wholeheartedly recommend Jim's services to anyone seeking hi-fi repairs, particularly if - like me - you think your component might not be repairable. Jim seems to be able to work miracles! . Good communication, qulity workmanship, and sensible pricing. What's not to like?

My Mastersound valve amp developed a fault so i took it to Jim to get repaired after seeing the good write-ups on Google. Juat over a week later i have the amp back and it's sounding smooth and detailed again. HIgh quality workmanship, very reasonable cost and friendly service. Thorougly recommeded. UPDATE: Had to take my amp in for repair again to Jim as it had developed another fault. Jim did a thorough job and the amp is now back and sounding mighty fine again for a very reasonable cost.

Jim managed to fixed my ancient sony x9 turntable. Understandably due to the covid restrictions and lockdowns it took quite a bit longer getting parts, but got it back and not only working but sounding better than ever, Thanks Jim!
