A. M.Experience has taught me that there are a lot of mediocre "5 star" companies out there, but I have to say, PWS is definitely not one of them. If ever there was a company that deserves 5 stars, PWS is that company.
Paul was professional and extremely good when it came to assessment of the work to be done. His resulting quotation was very competitive, had a really detailed breakdown and was accompanied by clear instructions with respect to the EV Charger grant claim process. Paul was also very efficient with respect to getting all the paper work for the job and claim process completed.
Chris from PWS did the installation of our Zappi EV Charge Point and if I could give 10 stars out of 5 I would, he is a real asset to the company! I couldn't be more pleased with the installation; it's extremely neat - Even the spacings of the fixings on the cable going round the top of the garage were measured to perfection and this is somewhere that no body is even going to see! Another place that I managed to get a glimpse of in passing (while he was working) that nobody will see was in the consumer unit - again extremely neat! This kind of attention to detail is what sets PWS apart - there was nothing half done, or done to an OK level, everything was done to perfection. Chris was also very respectful of our property and carpets, laying down protective covers on the stairs where he'd be walking in addition to wearing shoe covers on his shoes - honestly, one or the other would probably have been sufficient, but to see him use both was fantastic.
I would definitely recommend PWS without hesitation. Top marks.
D. B.PWS installed a new distribution board and a Hypervolt electric car charger in our property, plus a few other electrical bits and pieces. They were extremely professional and did a great job working virtually non stop all day to do what was required. I am extremely pleased with the results as all items are very neatly installed as requested and all are working great.
They also worked very tidily and cleaned up well after all the work.
(NB It was agreed that I would make the meter cupboard in the picture good again).

Mark completed a consumer unit upgrade at my property. He was professional and tidy. He took the time to explain all aspects of the job and ensured we had a basic supply of electricity to keep the Router running and mobile phones charged up. The works were completed to a very high standard.

The installation was quite tricky as the consumer unit is in the middle of our house, however they did a fantastic job of installing the cable with minimum disruption and a very neat installation. The original plan proved not to be viable upon further inspection below floors, however this is no fault of anyone as the solumn depth and general arrangement was always unknown.

C.I first used PWS about 7 years ago after looking for a well qualified electrician locally via SELECT. I was really pleased with my choice and very impressed by the excellent and efficient work carried out by Paul. It is sometimes not easy to find a nice, friendly, professional and honest contractor so I consider myself very lucky and whenever I need electrical works done, Paul is always my top choice. In a recent job, Paul came to replace the "vintage" consumer unit, install 6 electric heaters and smoke alarms (to meet the new regulation) in my son's flat. He explained the work clearly and gave a very reasonable quote. Most importantly, I can fully trust Paul and know his commitment to deliver high quality work would give my son a safe and warm flat! The new consumer unit is well labelled, all cables are sorted neatly, everything is carefully checked and inspection report has been provided. New heaters warm up the flat quickly. Paul tided up the place so the flat looked very clean after his work. Perfect service again from start to finish. Would highly recommend Paul and PWS.

After deciding on a charger and what additional work was required the quote was spot on from what we expected. Communication on the lead up to the install were excellent and the day before I was advised who would be out to install and at what time. Gordon & Alan arrived at the expected time, collected some information and cracked on with the job at hand. They were very friendly and took care not to make a mess when coming into the house to carry out electrical work. In the past there is always some sort of mess to tidy after but these guys sorted everything out. Lots of more info after install, a call to make sure we were happy then how to go about sorting the grant payment afterwards.

N. H.Very long overdue review. I contacted Paul back in March 2020 when I ordered a EV. Found out halfway through that I would get a free one with the car supplier, Paul never turned sour or difficult even though I sort of wasted his time. When I had loads of trouble with the free installation, I called Paul for advice which he freely gave and honestly I was ready to pay Paul to install a unit after the amount of trouble I had with the car company third party installer.
When I needed some outdoor sockets installed and additional ones in the kitchen etc, I got Paul in. There are no other electrical team I would use. They are all fantastic and professional. One can only hope more tradespeople can follow in your footsteps!

From the beginning, Paul made sure to fully understand what we were looking to install and made some great suggestions that we hadn't considered. Chris and Allan were doing the installation and were friendly, professional, tidy, accommodating and communicative.
Their prices are reasonable and you really do get what you pay for. Realistically, accounting for the cost of paracetamol saved due to headaches from experiences with other trades, you're getting a downright bargain.

PWS was not the cheapest, however I felt after speaking to Paul via face time, he was the most interested in how I wanted the charger fitted. C. M.Reading into the process of installing an electric vehicle charging point I was under the impression that by living in a flat it would make the installation a very difficult task to accomplish. However, thanks to PWS the process could not have been made simpler. From initial contact with Paul to the final outcome provided by Chris I could not rate the experience highly enough.
During the initial phase of planning the project, i.e., deciding the type of charger, my requirements, cabling, etc., Paul was very attentive and knowledgeable about the whole process even providing in-depth support with the financial side of things. Furthermore, due to the nature of staying in a flat the planning phase was constantly reviewed and outlined in great detail by Paul to satisfy the concerns of the other tenants in the building.
As for the service provided by Chris, who carried out the installation, it was second to none. I don't think I can run out of superlatives for Chris. Polite, professional, clean, tidy, overperforms and out delivers what is expected of him. A guy who takes a real pride in what he does and does it to the best of his ability which, from my experience, is extremely high. Impressed does not begin to cover it. At the end you could not even tell he was there.
I will be using PWS again and have no intention of looking elsewhere. From service to price you will struggle to find better.
To echo other reviews, if you're planning on getting some electrical work done, I wouldn't look any further.

Paul quoted and helped arrange the EV grant (as well as arranging the Gov one as well) and was helpful, timely and courteous throughout.
Chris installed the EV charger and couldn’t have been more pleasant & helpful. At this point I’d have said that I strongly recommend PWS Electrical, however, what happened next is what really turns heads.
The morning after the installation, we awoke to no internet (first world problem) which we then discovered was various power sources being off. A trip to the fuse box showed that something had tripped and, adding 2+2, I suspected it would be something to do with the newly installed charging point.
I sent Chris a text, this is around 8am mind, and said that I thought he EV charger had tripped a switch and he texted back almost
Immediately with some advice, which them turned into a phone call and which then, much to the disruption of his planned day, turned into a visit to troubleshoot.
Chris quickly established that the EV charger was nothing to do with the issue and set about trying to find this problem - which he did very quickly (and to the shame of a previous electricians ‘quality’ of work).
The dishwasher, which was leaking on to an EXPOSED CABLE, (luckily none of us had stood, barefoot in the water) and had shorted, tripping the switch. It also turns out the dishwasher (which has given us great service tbf) was goosed.
Chris then made the area and wiring etc (including an external plug) safe, actually apologised he couldn’t do more and went to his next job, not without helping move the dishwasher outside!
Have subsequently had some dialogue with both Paul & Chris and we will be getting them back out to fix the absolute shambles that was left behind our dishwasher (not by them) and to help install our new one.
I would have no hesitation whatsoever in recommending PWS Electrical for any jobs you may have, big or small, and I personally won’t use anyone else ever again.

This was quite a complex installation as the cabling had to go from our electric box, up into the loft, through the loft to the outside of the house, then down the outside wall, then underground into the garage, and finally round the inside of the garage to the opposite end. Paul overcame any unexpected problems with calm efficiency. He worked exceptionally hard from 8 in the morning to 6 in the evening to complete the job.
