Simon popped over and very quickly and efficiently installed my new light. In fact, he arrived early. When did you ever hear of an electrician that arrives early?! He was communicative over text, very friendly and gave sensible advice. He asked lots of questions to make sure I'd be happy with the placement of the light, and the final result is delightful. Simon has just completed a complex and frustrating job - a lighting circuit had failed, probably because of some historic faulty wiring. He painstakingly traced possible problems, kept me updated on progress, eventually located the fault and repaired it whilst minimising the disruption of lifted floorboards, ceiling exploration etc, double-checked the whole system and cleared up beautifully. He has previously carried out other work for me, including the electrical installation part of a new kitchen. Highly recommended.

Our broken boiler had a wiring problem. I’d waited four weeks for an electrician, assuming the delay was due to Covid 19. Then someone gave me Simon’s number. He arrived so quickly, I almost turned him away, couldn’t believe an electrician could arrive so fast. ‘But you have no hot water!’ was Simon's response to my strange welcome. This sums up Simon’s kindness and consideration. Committed to solving the problem, he shopped around to save the cost of new valves. My plumbing system is old and cobbled together (most plumbers shudder at the sight!) & the boiler is in a tiny space. A previous plumber had been around a few times but failed to find the problem—it was a difficult one but Simon read up manuals, consulted a plumber and set to work, determined to solve it. He is the first person who hasn’t complained about fixing this awkward boiler—apart from commenting that it was like ‘keyhole surgery’ operating in that tiny space, he said he liked a challenge! Highly recommended.

Simon came highly recommended by a neighbour when I needed to sort out why my washer and dryer had suddenly stopped working. He's a great guy: efficient, thoughtful, prompt, smart, and he went above and beyond in so many ways. Not only did he arrive within 24 hours of our initial contact, he figured out that the sockets needed replacing, went to the shop to buy the parts to fix the sockets as well as the hood fan light in my kitchen, and had everything up and running in no time. Our laundry area used to be a small cupboard so accessing the sockets is nearly impossible: no problem for Simon. He quickly figured out how to remove the washing machine from the stacking kit and did the heavy lifting. He also returned a few days later and spent a (free!) hour with me figuring out why the washing machine had started to leak! I'm very grateful I didn't have to pay a Miele engineer £125! I'm keeping his number within easy reach. Call him: you'll be glad you did.
