However, the team delivered quickly: the debtor’s location was identified immediately and face-to-face engagement occurred within days. The First Capitol team are fantastic. I had to collect 14,000 plus Vat from a person I did some business with who had once been a friend. It turned out that this person was not only dishonest but also turned out to be a malicious and nasty individual. The debt was well documented but that did not stop the debtor fabricating some fantastic lies to try to get out of paying what was owed. During the process, he set up a Phoenix company and even tried to close his company by getting it stuck off - out from under the debt - via Companies House (FYI: this is illegal... ). The true comedy moment happened when he discovered we could get this stopped in process (the excuses he made to the court when his dishonesty was showcased to the judge). Oops! The moment I contacted the First Capitol team, they assessed the situation and set out a strategy to recoup the cash. It was a complete success. I recovered the lot, plus costs and interest. Nobody tells you at the beginning of a debt collection process that it can be stressful... but the First Capitol team were completely transparent about how it all worked and what to expect. I am hoping that I never need their services again... but should I get another bad debt, I would never go anywhere else. The First Capitol team really are fantastic!
