I honestly can't recommend this agency and Ruairi McCann enough. I've only ever worked for 1 agency before, and it was awful. I was recommended mcs, by a family friend, as the agency andor use. They have actually made me have faith in agency's again. There was a minor delay in my first weeks wage, and they contacted me before it happened, and even offered an emergency cash transfer. Everything was extremely hassle free with them. I've now been made permanent in my new role, but if I'm ever looking for a new job again, MCS will be my first option.

It's pertinent to mention that he was the one who approached me on LinkedIn so had I not received any contact from him, I certainly wouldn't have come across this role. This is a testament to Luke's ability to assess prospect candidates and match their skillset + experience with the IFA roles available in the market. He kept me well informed throughout the process and he was very approachable. At one point, it seemed as if it was going to be curtains when AL's Training and Competency team had initially advised that they didn't have capacity to train me. My initial experience with MCS wasn't great. I emailed my CV to MCS group back in April and was quickly contacted by a girl called Sarah. After a quick phone call explaining my situation she put me for a role that wasn't really what I wanted or suited for. I did the interview to get the experience. After the interview and me explaining it wasn't really suited for what I wanted. I never heard from her back or ever again, which was just really poor to be honest. I decided to give it another try a few months later and I got super lucky with getting Brendan Berry as my recruiter who I must say did an excellent job, was very down to earth but also professional. He found several roles that were more suited to what I wanted to do. He offered me some pointers for the interview which helped me progress onto the next stage. Throughout this whole process Brendan was communicating with me throughout to make sure I did the best I could. I ended up being offered the job he put me towards which was amazing, despite me choosing not to take it as at that point I had another 4 offers. I still cannot reccomend him enough. He works extra hard and cares about his clients. Absolutely amazing job. He offered me solid advice for my career and I can't thank him enough for that. If not for him I'd be leaving a 1 star review and would have had a very sour experience of using Recruiters. However, if in the future I am looking for work again I will be sure to get in touch again. I'd give him 6/5 if I could. Even despite the poor experience I received in April with Sarah.

This review on my experience is long overdue! But during the initial outbreak of Covid when practically the whole world went into the first lockdown in 2020, there I was trying find a job in Northern Ireland from South Africa. While other recruiters/employers wouldn't take a second look at me due to the circumstances at the time, Eve Turkington really stepped up in so many ways. Firstly, Eve managed to get me the first job within a week after meeting over a video call. Then the company withdrew due to covid reasons. After that Eve was in touch with me on a weekly basis (at this point companies were really reluctant to hire). When I first met Stephen of MCS 4 years ago he told me what employers were looking for in candidates and the weak areas of my CV & experience. My early experience was in the Accounts department of a SME. He advised me to try something different and told me I needed ‘Big Company’ experience on my CV. In 2017 he managed to get me a job in the finance department of a Global Manufacturing company to broaden my experience. Building on my current experience working for a highly valued employer, Stephen helped place me in a new job with a similar global company starting November 2020.
