Not very helpful. Arrogant and judgmentall. For this I gave them 1 star I had Harry from CV Bay call me. And he promised to look into this. It was good to know someone cares in this organisation and went out of his way to know what the problem is, so it can be corrected. I was only with CV Bay for a short while, for just under 6 months, but they were very helpful in arranging the contract. As a first time contractor I was nervous about all the paperwork, and felt there were too many options to choose from. They talked me through the process. They didn't tell me what to do, but they would say things like "many of our existing contractors use an arrangement like this..." All in all, they gave me the confidence to strike out in a new direction. I would recommend that anyone unsure about contracting for the first time keep calm, carry on, and talk to CV Bay Ltd !

Headline: applied for role on Monday morning, had competitive offer in hand on Friday morning. I applied for a software developer position that was being handled by CV Bay through one of the big job boards on Monday morning. A few hours later I was contacted by Emma Stevens to chat about the role, but this wasn't the typical perfunctory 5 minute chat before she sent off my CV to the four corners of the world; she took the time to make sure that I was a good fit for her client before putting my CV in front of them - and that initial due diligence paid off, as a couple of hours after that, I had a Skype interview booked for the next day. Emma kept me informed through each step of the process, which despite the incredibly short turnaround wasn't straightforward, and all I had to do was be available for the interviews that followed, and when the offer came, it was for exactly what I had asked for in that first call - no need for negotiation. A four day turnaround from application to offer is obviously not going to be everybody's experience, but I think it a good demonstration of how hard the team at CV Bay work for both their clients and their applicants.
