Approximately nine weeks ago, I got a call from a Clearline recruiter for a role. I was on sick leave after an operation; and in a bad headspace besides; but I’d been looking for a new role for a while and thought I’d better give it a shot. Not only was I given regular briefings and preparation correspondence for my interview, the agents at Clearline put me in touch with a former employee of the company on their payroll, who gave me all the coaching I needed to nail the interview. Cut to this week: I’m almost half way through my training at the new role. I’ve never walked into an interview with that level of confidence before, and so far the job has been everything I could’ve hoped for. I spent literally years trying to make my unique set of skills work; thinking there wasn’t an ‘ideal role’ out there for such an eclectic amalgam of qualifications and quirks; and yet here I sit on the commute home, finally with the job satisfaction, (and security), I’ve been trying to reach for almost a full decade. I can’t begin to thank Clearline enough. This whole experience felt like it was straight out of a job recruiter’s TV commercial. Absolutely top-tier service.

I had been desperately searching for work for around a year since graduating in the summer of 2020, with responses from employers being far and few between. I originally applied for a kickstart role working at Clearline Recruitment, however, when I went for my interview, Angela presented me with alternative job roles that could better suit me and would challenge me more/ make more use of my degree. I felt valued and supported the whole time, I could tell the company really cares about what they do. I spoke with Angela, Jamie, Frankie, Maisie, Laylah, and Gabbie - all of whom were so professional and friendly from start to finish, keeping in regular contact throughout the process. Angela in particular was amazing, setting me up with an interview (and giving me a much-needed confidence boost after a year of constant, unsuccessful job hunting!). I also spoke frequently with Jamie, who put me at ease straight away and gave me specific information and tailored advice about the role I was applying to. Maisie also kept in frequent contact, checking in with me after assessments/ interviews to see how I had got on. I visited the office on the Monday, had an interview on the Thursday, and a received a job offer on the Friday! I start my new job in about 2 weeks, and I couldn’t be happier. My experience with Clearline Recruitment has been nothing but positive! I wasn't expecting the process to move along so quickly, nor have a positive outcome given that the Covid-19 pandemic has put a hold on many things this year, but I was pleasantly surprised by how quickly things took place! Just a day or two after my initial application, I received a call from Jamie, letting me know he had viewed my CV and would be sending it off to my desired apprenticeship, this was followed by a call from Angela, offering lots of helpful advice and encouragement for interviews, as well as information about other potential opportunities. I've used just about every Recruitment Agency since moving down to Brighton, so I would say I am very familiar and experienced in the different nuances between them all: some are of course better than others, however they are generally all similar. The trending theme among them is the lack of communication, over-promising, or the quality of the jobs available. The last few months I have spent a great deal of my time looking for work in Brighton, and looking for the perfect opportunity. I either wouldn't be contacted back, or I would be put forward for a role I wasn't really interested in to start with because of this I was resigned to the fact I would have to commute to London for the foreseeable future. I then came across Clearline Recruitment; an agency I hadn't heard of in Brighton. Within approximately 2 weeks, Jamie from Clearline Recruitment, had found me the perfect role. He communicated everything clearly with me, through every stage, so I was never left twiddling my thumbs waiting for feedback. As of Thursday 26th September, I had a job offer from his client, to which I have accepted. Absolutely over-the-moon! I very rarely write reviews on Google, and if I do generally they are for negative reasons (don't we all?), but it's been such a breath of fresh air dealing with Clearline Recruitment, and in particular Jamie, that I would be doing a massive disservice if I hadn't written this.
