Honestly I can't thank Barry and the team at Barr enough! I had a pretty solid job at a company which I won't state but on a Thursday they sacked me with no prior warnings or nothing, I gave Barry a call on the Friday at 0930 he asked me to come in to get signed on, at 1100 I was signed on. The Monday I had work, and I've had work since! You guys have helped me out massively and I can't thank you enough!. I Highly recommend Barr. To Any drivers out there in need, Do Not Listen to what other divers have said to you with Barr you WILL work!. Again thank you Barry and team!.

Did everything they said they would... increasingly rare for many HGV drivers, an agency that has the work and pays really well, no tricks, no scams and just doing it! No, they don't pay for reviews...and as many will know, the crew at Barr are real characters and certainly NOT, corporates ripping drivers off!

I have worked for BARR for 18 months now and I couldn’t recommend them highly enough. I have read several reviews recently that are one star, these are totally unfair and clearly posted by people with axes to grind; I have found their services to be professionally run by qualified and knowledgeable staff and would rate them as a five star operation. When this current situation calms down and we return to some normality, I look forward to working with Barry and Charlie as they have always been fair and honest with me. I went to see Barry and Charlie, to be honest with not much hope of being treated at all well. I couldn't have been more wrong, both gave up their time to talk to me about what I wanted from the company. Being a new driver I knew I would be limited to certain jobs, but Barry and Charlie went above and beyond what I expected. Wages were paid without question, both were honest, professional and true to their word. Barr Personnel is certainly a company i would work for without hesitation. Maybe you won't get exactly what you want, but Barry and Charlie get you close to it.

I was wary about going to an agency but how wrong i was.I phoned about a tipper job, interview the next day.After filling out paperwork Barry and his two assistant office staff all came and sat at table to discuss what the job was and asked what i wanted from the job like they said it a 2 way thing. Sent on an induction course and then a training day. How many people give you a chance to try a job before you leave your present job. All i can say it is very professional.

Great agency to work for. Been with them 5 years or so and work every day I wanted it for top industry money. All of the many many companies they have placed me with are professional and usually keep you around for quite a while (more than a year on one occasion). Invoices always paid on time as LTD company.

Absolutely brilliant agency to work for, I'd thoroughly recommend them to anyone looking for work! Paid on time every week even early on Bank Holidays. No weird deductions taken off (I've worked for other agencies in this area and they take "payment processing fees" from you-£20 per week, umbrella tax, employers tax etc etc ), your just paid as paye normal tax and national insurance taken and that's it. All the staff are really nice, you wanna work they'll get you work! Be honest and realistic about what you want and where you want to work and they'll do right by you. I'm moving back to Scotland so gave them notice against my friends advice but my friends were wrong, Barr told me they were sad to see me leave but wish me all the best and I'll always get work with them and their not just cutting me off, they are letting me work my full notice. Wish they were in Scotland! The rate of pay is completely fair (around middle to higher compared to lorry driving companies in the area) and is discussed with you upon interview. Really can't understand the bad reviews on this company but wish them all the best.

I Don’t know who made these comments but they are not mine. Just to put the record straight, I worked for Barry for two years in that time he arrange my work so I was paid more than enough and put me with companies that catered for my needs. I would recommend these guys and girls at Barr and if I find whoever is making false statement s on my behalf then they are in trouble. I would go back to Barry tomorrow if vacancies we’re available. I worked for a few agency prior to Barr. Got messed about with money etc... Barr had work for me within a day of signing up which led to permanent employment. Very professional and never had any problem getting paid.

Great agency to work for. Took me on as an inexperienced driver while I was still serving in the Army, and had work for me every time I wanted it. Made the transition when I left the forces very easy. Finished in the Army one day, full time driving with Barr the next. I gave these guys more trouble as an inexperienced driver than they ever gave me, and they stuck by me (cheers Baz and Ray!) Always paid on time, every week, if there was ever a very rare discrepancy, then a quick call to Charly in the office would have it sorted out in no time. I ended up in a temp to perm role with a local company thanks to these guys, and have just gone full time. Cheers guys, appreciate everything!
