D. H.First time I've been there, had nice welcome and good directions as to where I needed to unload. Clean site and easy to use, well signed.
P. S.Took some paint for disposal. Although it doesn't say that a permit is required for domestic disposal, I was asked for one. Fortunately I have a login for the County Council having used it for tip runs during lockdown otherwise this would have been a wasted journey.

I. W.Booked in at 14.30, arrived exactly on time as requested, queued for 28 minutes. Out in 4 minutes. They are doing their best. Best we can do is prepare by category our waste and try to be organised.
A. P.Nuisance having to set up an account with Leicestershire County Council before you can even book an appointment (another irritation). Experience on site was ok.

K. J.Well managed site. I have been helped by Phil on several occasions. Just sort your waste out first. I am doing up my house and the costs are cheaper than a skip.
S. M.Had an appointment to go to the tip, when we arrived we were waved in by the guy checking car reg, told which bay to go to by another guy, emptied the car of all rubbish and straight out. Nice pleasant guys working there.
D. W.The arrival at the site is not the cheeriest of welcomes. If you are unfortunate enough to have a variety of different items, you are given a bewildering set of numbers by them for the bins in which to deposit your items. I can guarantee that you did not load your car in the order that will allow you to stop as you get to each one in order. What a shambles! You should also be aware that if you have anything classed as building waste, you are charged per bag (around £3.00). We had 4 bags of stuff left over from our bathroom refit that included some old tiles. Due to us only having bin liners to put the stuff in that could tear easily and carry no real weight, I spread what was either a large bag or 2 medium bags into 4 and they wanted to charge me for 4 bags at £3.00. I thought we were being encouraged to recycle... One of our neighbours suggested that we simply break it all down into small pieces and put it in our own bin. That way, it gets taken away for nothing, as it should have been at the recycling centre.
C. L.It was a pain having to travel 18 miles to dispose of old garage sheeting but once we arrived at the tip we were met by staff who were extremely efficient, friendly and helpful. The whole experience was very slick.

T. D.It's a place to get rid of rubbish. Well laid out with good access. I was struggling to empty some large garden waste bags and the staff were quite happy to stand and watch me or carry on with their very important conversations.

L. K.Generally the staff are very helpful, apart from one extremely rude lady who decided to shout at me for putting the waste in the place where I had been told to put it by the man at the entrance! I think the entrance man and staff inside need to communicate more. Apart from that one bad experience generally very good.
