Attended many assignments for both the Liverpool and Welsh branch. Working as support worker and SSW. Great for gaining experience in many different environments with both adult and child packages in MH and LD. The variety in work has been beneficial for my CV as it enables you to gain a vast amount of experience in many different sectors. Good support and development offered. Treated more like a member of staff than just a temp to pick up odd shifts. Given a rota so I can plan my time.

I followed this course in order to find a good quality course that the host families of our language school could access for free. It's an important topic to be educated on if you have contact with young people. Prospero's course is based around 3 succinct videos of around 7 minutes each. These videos cover all the important basics. After each video you answer some questions to test your understanding and after the whole course, you submit all your answers. The whole thing takes around half an hour but you learn a lot in this time. It is focused on the education context but the information is also very relevant to non-teachers. Prospero offers this course for free despite having to mark part of the test so it's an excellent service to provide and I recommend it to anyone who has never done a safeguarding course or who needs a refresher.
