It was such a pleasure working with the team at Anderson Hoare. They were the first agency I spoke with when I moved to London and wanted to find a totally new career and I must say, they did not disappoint. The whole process was so easy and they continuously kept me up to date, ending with finding me the perfect job in the perfect location! What started as a temp job quickly turned into a permanent role and I put that down to the team at Anderson Hoare for so professionally finding a job that was perfectly suited to me. Thanks to Anderson Hoare I found my current job. I submitted my CV to the agency and shortly after I was invited for an interview to introduce myself, talk about my work experience and career goals. The interview felt a bit overwhelming as I had 5 minute sessions (sometimes shorter) with 4 different people and I worried the information was getting dispersed. I also had to answer to the same questions several times. After the interview, I was straightaway given 3 job opportunities. Despite none of these met my preferences, Anderson Hoare kept sending me more offers which is great because it really shows the agents are committed in finding you something that suits your expectations. About two weeks later, one of the agents told me about a job vacancy for a receptionist job at a non-profit organisation and told me she knew this client very well. I was super excited with this one and she got me an interview. The evening before the interview, Anderson Hoare sent me the job description I found out the company I was interviewing for was not a non-profit organisation after all. It was a private equity investment firm with the exact same name! I called the agent and she told me it was "just a receptionist job" and I did not need to know that much about the company I was interviewing for. I disagreed with this and felt frustrated, mostly because I was told she knew the client very well. She also apologised and told me this had never happened to her before. I still went to the interview the next day and in the end I was offered the job. Last week I was promoted to office manager. So despite the bumpy start with Anderson Hoare, the outcome was positive.
