I had no idea what I was doing wrong when it came to applying for jobs, but I was getting no replies from applications for almost a year after graduating. Jane and Growing Talent gave me the opportunity to meet the employers and prove myself to them, leading to a job that I have had for three years now, and I am just about to start an apprenticeship to help me develop more in my role. Jane is amazing, and I would recommend Growing Talent to anyone, whether you are an Employer or just someone looking for a chance to prove themselves worthy of employment.

Growing Talent is an amazing opportunity for anyone looking for full-time work – no matter what your age, race etc. You are given the chance to show your capabilities without having to rely on academic grades or qualifications. The employers that attend are ones that will give you a fair chance and the ‘speed dating’ type of set up is one that allows you to have a conversation with the employers rather than feeling scrutinized (so don’t worry if you do not have much experience with interviews). Jane James is an amazing mentor who will teach you the skills, tips and tricks of being successful regardless of what career path you wish to go down. I have learnt countless things that I can use in my work environment but also in my personal/home life to keep me motivated and healthy. Having worked her way up through difficult situations, it is reassuring to know that Jane speaks through experience and passion. This scheme is truly one that helps its applicants to grow and make great progression in the working world. In addition to this, Growing Talent ensure that you and your employer are happy even after you have been taken on at your new job and will be there to guide you through any concerns that you may have. The scheme guarantees all applicants that complete a permanent full-time job with a company that they have control in choosing. Meanwhile employers are given the chance to meet the applicants face to face in order to find someone that suits their job role, environment and work ethic. It is truly a win-win situation and I recommend it to anyone that is looking for a full-time job or full-time employee!

I have worked with the Growing Talent scheme since it first started and have recruited several candidates that have all been placed through Pertemps whether it be with ourselves in branch or with our partner clients. There are dozens of client companies that participate from 5 star hotels, logistics and many more sectors This scheme most definitely gives candidates who are out of work a platform to get back into work and with the support from Jane James who runs the scheme gives invaluable confidence boosting , advice on health and nutrition and whole load more. It benefits clients in getting candidates to work with them for a 12 week period with no costs incurred and candidates get to keep all their benefits and also get their travel paid and a Permanent job at the end I have worked in recruitment for 30 years and been exposed to dozens of back to work schemes . I will be the first to admit that i was cynical some years back having dealt with several other schemes, seeing how Growing Talent operates , the passion and help that Jane puts in, the feedback from candidates whose lives have been changed around , all i have to say is " Get in touch with Jane James " TODAY!!!

Growing Talent is not only practical but the person spearheading this (Jane James) is a very understanding and inspirational human being. I've no doubt anyone with the right mindset and wants to work will achieve so through this program. Thank you Growing Talent & Jane James, long may this scheme continue and grow!

The Growing Talent programme is a fantastic example of an apprenticeship and mentoring programme that truly works. I cannot tell you how inspired I continue to feel when I meet Growing Talent Associates who are showcasing their talents to prospective employers under the guidance of Jane James - who really knows how to get the best out of these individuals. The Growing Talent programme allows a business to be introduced to a prospective employee and see dedication and hard work over a 3 month trial period. It allows the Associates an opportunity to prove themselves and demonstrate their abilities outside of the arbitrary online application, CV sending and standard interview structure. The scheme has a real place in today’s job market where the individual can stand out from the crowd in a competitive market, putting themselves in a position of learning and development, on the job and it is only a benefit to the Employer, who is looking for that right person fit too! We at Red Personnel have recruited successfully via the Growing Talent scheme and would highly recommend it to our clients.

Since the birth of Growing Talent, I have had the pleasure to attend most sessions and have to-date employed 38 Associates. It is a holistic into work programme giving unemployed people the chance to prove they are worthy of employment. This speed dating process presents groups of enthusiastic people who are willing to work hard and allows them to show they will be an asset to any organisation who are willing to give them a chance. This "try before you buy" opportunity allows employers to identify the associate's strengths and abilities for twelve weeks before offering them full time employment. It is not about free labour, it is about knowing you can offer these hardworking people a role in the workplace. The scheme is led by Jane James, an amazing woman and mentor. The advice and coaching given by her truly prepares the associates to get back into the working environment. For me it's a no brainer for any employer! I have been involved with Growing Talent as an employer for the past 3 years. The programme is incredibly slick, from the pre-selection process of a potential candidate, which is done on a mass "speed dating" event - which maximises the exposure to the candidates and is an environment where first impressions really do count - to implementation within your business following a more formal meeting of your selected individual(s). The successful candidate embeds into your workplace for up to 3 months, at no cost to the employer, where you can train and mould them whilst they learn the job role. After the 3 months and on their first day "paid" they are already part of the team and ready hit the ground running. Growing Talent also provides holistic support throughout the 3 months, giving the candidates key life skills to adapt to a busy working environment. It really is a no-brainer!

I feel like I wasted travel money, they didn't put me forward, so now I have to continue job searching forever.ugh The job centre didn't reimburse me, because they hadn't updated my profile, everyone else seems to go forward for this course, except me, otherwise it weren't too bad.
