Host have always paid me on time. Their application process is efficient and I've personally worked at some of the best venues because of them. Would highly recommend to those studying. It is a flexible/easy way to earn money.

Host Staffing is a great agency to work with as a student living in London. Shift requirements are flexible and there is a wide variety of types of shifts to sign up for. Working for Host Staffing gives you a chance to meet so many new people and work with a variety of clients in locations across the London area. The app makes it so easy to sign up for shifts. I have particularly enjoyed working bar shifts at sporting stadiums as well as at music events. The staff members are extremely lovely and supportive. They make sure you have all the information you need prior to each shift starting (Duration of shift, name of client, directions of how to get to your shift, uniform requirements, description of shift, pay) so that your shift runs efficiently and stress-free as possible. If you are looking for a part time role to do alongside full-time study or other commitments I would definitely recommend Host.

It's been a wonderful experience working with Host for the past year. I have worked with host for nearly 3 years and what can I say, the pay is great and the staff are amazing and so friendly! Winter time especially there are array of jobs so you never need to worry. My favourite I would say was when I worked at the cricket World Cup and England won! Speaking of staff in particular, Molly is amazing! She’s always been a great help and has a smile on her face before the shift starts. Host Staffing is a great agency to work with! Hourly pay varies depending on the shifts and venue are usually cool. The office team is great and friendly, but the most caring one is Lavinia. She took me through each step since I started working for them, and she just goes over and beyond for you when you show interest and reliability. Available on weekend as well, any ad every time. Just as kind and thoughtful as you would love your mentor/point of reference to be.

I have had a great time working for this hospitality agency. The pay is much better than equivalent agencies and there are lots of different shifts with varying hours. It is perfect for casual work or when you come back from uni in the holidays. I used them extensively in my gap year and now use them in the holidays since going to uni. Worked on and off since 2015 as a student and graduate. Good for working alongside studies/job applications as its flexible, you can choose your own hours. The staff are supportive when booking in shifts. Jojo is especially good in supporting me to get hospitality shifts regularly at Arsenal. The only downside is some of the manager you end up working with are clueless (but this isn't any of the staff or managers from Host). Otherwise would recommend this to anyone looking for flexible, fun work.

After starting with Host’s Guildford branch in May I have nothing but praise for Hannah and Fay. After my induction with Hannah she has been consistently amazing with helping me get work and also ensuring I can work with friends as well! I have been working for HOST Staffing now for over a year and its been the most enjoyable and stress free job I could wish for during my time at University. The extent of shifts they offer is outstanding from retail to waitressing, not to mention the extremely cool venues you could work for. Booking onto a shift couldn't be more easy from there stress free app where everything is at the push of a button, the team have really made it easy for staff to book onto shifts. The team itself are built up of lovely people but Lucy and Lukas are especially key throughout my HOST journey who have helped me along the way. I have been working with this lovely agency for a few months and I love them. The guys from the office are so friendly and caring especially Lavinia as mainly I work with her. I love her! She always tries her best to make sure that I have a shift if I need it and I always feel welcome and supported by her. She is a real gem! The energy between people who I work with during the shifts is also great and they are all very friendly. The payment is always on time. It has taken me ages to get round to writing this review but I think it needs to be done when I see negative reviews about Host! Working with Host is as easy or hard as you want it to be, I did a tonne of shifts, I was more or less always working and Host saved me financially during the period I was with them!! There are always shifts, the app is easy to use and the staff in the office are on hand to help whenever you need anything. I was usually in contact with Fay and she was a huge help, genuinely one of the nicest girls and so understanding! Towards the end, it felt like a personalised service! You get the opportunity to work in some amazing venues, with similar people to you - I'd really recommend it if you need extra cash, are to and from uni or are just looking for something a bit different. I really have no complaints! Thank you to Fay and the Host team for giving me that much needed job!

Working with them for some time now, and all I can say is just the best. I have been with other agencies , just to see how they are doing, and believe me when I say, no humanity and understanding at all. Host agency has people that are always there for their staff, they really care. Shifts can be sometimes hard and managers crazy, but that is life and everywhere is like that. But Host is always preparing their workers for every condition and place where the job needs to be done. You can easily apply for a shift and cancel it if you have to, there are no penalties and money charges , like with other agencies which is very unfair, because problems can occur all the time, and they are always with understanding for you. They have wide range of shifts , I have done a lot of them and saw some places which I would probably never see. So thank you my Host agency for taking care so nicely for me, I wish you more lovely clients and happy workers . I have been working with Host for about 4 months now, since coming back to uni in September, and I love it! It's not too complicated a process for application and interviews, which for some busy students can be difficult to factor in. And once you have the job, it is very easy to book shifts (on the app or online) around your schedule, and also to build up professional relationships so you are selected or highlighted for certain shifts, meaning you often get to work with the same companies and the same agency staff members - can be nice to see familiar faces. For example, it has very often been Molly checking us in at Chelsea FC and she's lovely and friendly, and always well-organised. Also, if you have to cancel any shifts because something comes up, as long as you give them good time to book someone else in (i.e. maybe at least 2/3 days prior to the shift), they're very understanding over the phone. For me personally, it was the perfect solution to paying the bills alongside uni - I am quite a busy med student but have been able to work lots of shifts, as they do all times of day and all across London. Granted, the Jan/ Feb months are a little quieter but from Sept-Dec, there were lots of opportunities to book shifts.

I have been working with Host Staffing for a number of months. Though sometimes getting the best shifts can be competitive, you can always find some work that is convenient for you. Even if you are last minute, there are text alerts that you can get if you need it. There is always someone to contact if there are any issues, where in my case has been very rare. The clients they get overall are very nice and respectful to staff and most others in the agency work to the same high standard as myself. I find the agency convenient to work for around uni life. It allows me to see places I may not have thought about going, or did not even know about. You also get to meet so many lovely people and develop working skills alongside.

I'm a student and have worked for Fuel for around 7 months now. I love that you can pick exactly which shifts you would like to work and don't just get told where you are going. I've worked at some great places including festivals where I had some friends working for a different agency who got paid less than I did per hour and were on the busy public bars, whereas Fuel staff were all on the nice VIP bars (right near the stage too). The staff are so helpful when you call and have even switched my shift at one place to another when I found a different shift that suited me better. You can see how much you will get paid for each shift before you apply for it so if you don't want to work for less than say £8.50 an hour you don't have to! As long as you are reliable, friendly and willing to learn at each job it's the perfect additional income for anyone.

I’ve been working at HOST for 5 months now and it doesn’t even feel like a job because it’s so enjoyable! The shift options are so varied with the different venues you can work at which gives everyone different options depending on what suits them. Working at HOST is extremely flexible and fits around my schedule perfectly, it lets me work as little or as much as I need. I’ve been working with host since 2021 and from my experience, I can say that Host is a great place to work at if you are a student. After the induction session and the online training, you can start applying for jobs on their app- which is easy to use. There are some seasons that are more vibrant than others, for example I do admit that it was difficult to find a shift during January/early February, however this is not necessarily something to do with Host. As there are less events/tourists during those moments, restaurants don’t require additional staff from agencies. You can work as many or as little hours as you want. If something comes up, if you give them at least 48 hrs of notice, you can cancel your shift without any problems. They are also very professional in terms of payment. So far, I have been getting paid weekly and exactly the amount that I have been promised. You just have to remember to sign in/sign out with the manager especially if you are working in events where people from other agencies are also present, as it can get pretty hectic. Overall, great experience.
