Thank you so much Holly Heddle for the help you have given me in preparation for having the EPA assessment. It has been so helpful. Many Thanks also to Emma Thornton for being my first assessor who started me off on the journey and helped me a lot before she went on maternity leave. Kathrine Saunders who took over from her, who was so supportive and always kept me updated with what I needed to do straight away. She got me through a lot of what I hadn’t done yet and made sure my portfolio got signed off on time. She also helped me to revise for the exams and gave me good ways on how to revise. Kat Michaels was also very helpful and helped me revise for when I had to retake two of my exams. It really helped, when it came to retaking them again. Without the help and support from everyone at tempdent, everyone at The Bupa practice I work at (having study time/a day in the week to revise) and friends and family. This review is based upon my experience with my 2nd assessor Sarah Boyd. Unfortunately, my original assessor left Tempdent and at that stage of my course I had several pieces of work outstanding and several pieces of work unassessed and felt extremely stressed. From the first contact with Sarah, my fears were eased. A thorough action plan was put in place, my work was assessed and brought up to date. Sarah responded to my emails and telephone calls straight away and was an amazing support helping me to complete my portfolio on time. Thank you so much.

Tempdent is a supportive network! The staff at Tempdent have a caring approach and want the best for their students. Teodora Van Der Berg was my main assessor for 2 years! She has been very patient and understanding, especially during my pregnancy. She showed consistency and dedication to helping me reach my end goal and I cannot thank her enough. Harriet Benham, my EPA assessor, who I only knew for a short period of time encouraged me to push myself. She lifted my spirits when I felt nervous or worried. She was always available when I needed her or if I was upset about anything. We are both working mums so she could empathise the struggles of me having to study and work with my baby. I also cannot thank her enough for her support. My teacher, Kat Michaels, was amazing. She is very passionate about her students and always wants the best for them. We need more teachers like Kat! I felt on the whole tempdent had good platforms with lots of information to help guide you thought the dental nurse course. But my overall experience was made due to my assessor Sarah Boyd, she was always there when I needed help even if it was on one of her days off. if I ever forgot to do something I would always get a nudge to help me remember. The feedback I got from Sarah was always great and never made me feel like I was doing a bad job. The support from Sarah was beyond amazing, If I didn't have that support that I had I don't think I would be doing dental nursing as a full time job like I am doing now.

Tempdent for me personally was an amazing experience and professional company who helped me to qualify as a Dental Nurse. The organization as a whole was very supportive. They care about their trainees and are always asking for ways in which they can improve, any feedback was welcome. I felt every step was explained which really took the pressure off. I was never left confused or worrying which with not going to collage to have a tutor face to face was a massive help. My assessor was Sarah Boyd she is a true credit to Tempdent. I was very lucky to have Sarah as she was there for me no matter the time or day, Even on her days off if I emailed she would reply. Sarah helped me to manage my stress of working a full time job doing 40 hours a week and also completing my course work and revising for my exams. She is very organized which helped me to know exactly what was needed and when so nothing was left to the last minute causing extra stress. I found my stress levels were getting less and less as I progressed in the course, thanks to Sarah always reassuring me and answering any questions I may have. I was actually sad when I qualified and wouldn't have as much contact with sarah anymore as I felt we built a professional relationship. However even once qualified I would still email to ask Sarah about my next steps for registering to get my GDC and she would always reply and point me in the right direction. All in all I would like to thank Tempdent and Sarah for the Dental nurse that I have now become. going through the course I learnt so much knowledge and built my confidence. Paige

I have recently qualified and completed my dental nursing apprenticeship through Tempdent, the webinars were easy to follow & I appreciated them being recorded, as this meant I could re-watch them and refer back to them whilst revising and completing coursework. I did struggle a little with studying online, however this is my personal preference, and I had two incredibly supportive tutors, Morgan Greenwood and Sarah Boyd, Sarah took over from Morgan a few months before I finished my studies, however both were amazing! Very supportive and always there to pick me up when I was loosing my motivation through COVID, I couldn’t recommend and thank them both enough! Sarah really pushed me to aim for a distinction grade and I am more than grateful as that’s just what I achieved :-) Thank you!! - Aimee

I have recently completed my dental nursing qualification, they were very resourceful when I came to writing up your coursework and the webinars were very informative. They made sure my qualification wasn't delayed too much due to covid 19 so made other arrangements so I could pass quickly as possible. My tutor Sarah Boyd was so supportive throughout my time with Tempdent, she made sure I had all the resources I need to revise for my exams, she was easy to get hold off if I needed any help and always had regular phone calls to ensure I was okay and on target with things. Sarah made me feel like I was her only student. I was also doing my maths along side which I am grateful for Tempdent for this as I had always struggled with maths and passing it felt amazing! I highly recommend tempdent. The staff are all so supportive and nice. I completed my course early this year and never failed my exams. Kat is an excellent mentor, she will support you even on personal problems. Class was always fun and I was always excited to attend on fridays. They also helped me find a job in a span of 1-2 weeks max. My assessor Geeta has also helped me with my courseworks and encouraged me to be on time. Just do your part as a student and never miss a deadline and you’ll sure be a qualified dental nurse after.

A week ago, I had the pleasure of Anastasia Gallan nursing for me. Our practice had my regular nurse on annual leave, and I have had previous experiences with locum nurses whereby I did not expect any outstanding behaviour. Anastasia was an absolute delight. She was polite, friendly, interacted with patients and formed a rapport, made herself acquainted with everything in the surgery/practice extremely quickly, accommodated herself to my working style and templates after a single patient. At lunchtime, she socialised with our team and was able to integrate very easily. My day ran easily and smoothly, and by the end of the day, I had possible the best experience with Anastasia as I have had with any locum nurses and even some permanent nurses. Her biggest commending feature is that she genuinely cares about the patients. She gets involved to help, does the best she is capable of doing, and does not skimp on effort just because she is not a regular staff member at the practice. She puts 150% effort into her work and I was absolutely thrilled to have her join us last week. Should we ever require a locum again, I would love to personally request Anastasia to join us!

I have recently gained my dental nursing qualification. I could not thank my assessor Heather Elliott enough! Having started off my course with a different assessor, I didn't feel I was getting the support I needed. I was nervous at the thought of changing assessor but I couldn't be happier I passed with the help and support off Heather. Always on the end of the phone or email if I needed help with coursework. It took me a little longer to pass the course because maths held me back. But Heather never stopped encouraging me to keep striving and carrying on (even when I felt like giving it all up) Thank you so much Heather!

I started my Dental Nursing course in January 2019 and from the start my Assesor has been AMAZING, Claire Gill has always been so supportive and very responsive to any of my texts/emails and messages! The only thing I would suggest to improve the company would be more exam centres with a wider variety of areas as I had to travel to Peterborough but that’s it! I finally got my qualification and became a GDC Registrant in December 2020 due to COVID delays my EPA was delayed and things got pushed back, my assesor was great in helping me prep for exams by doing mock exams or support calls. A great company with supportive assessors, any qualification will have its ups and downs and this one is definitely worth it!
