My experience with Workplace has been long running on n off for many years and they are always there to help! I would comment that until I was paired with my advisor (Marisa) it was a struggle to get an advisor but this also could have been the effect of the pandemic also. I would like to thank my advisor for her continued support. She consistently offered support and guidance helping build my confidence when I was getting frustrated with job seeking. I now have a permanent job working for Newham council and I am glad to have found such a good job within the pandemic. I feel like workplace has always been there to help and as a Newham resident I feel like workplace is such a great organisation for support when looking for work. No doubt. Ill be back, if needed that is 😉

My advisor Jushna has been great and supportive with my job searching, she schedules regular appointments and sends upcoming job roles to my email address. She has really helped explain the recruitment process, updated my CV and gives clear directions with application forms and cover letters. I have been registered with Workplace for a while and as soon as I was registered my adviser, Ajeem Bobat, was booking me onto jobs immediately. Whilst keeping in mind that I had university work, Ajeem always scheduled appointments around times that suited me. Every session at workplace was useful, whether it was an interview, screening or a general advice session about interview and job skills. I was also helped by Brian who helped book me onto an interview which I really wanted to attend but despite the closing date being near and thankfully I got the job. I am happy with the service I received and will be returning back to Workplace to the same adviser should I need to do so in the future.

My workplace advisor is Kamal Ali who has been supporting me for several years with finding a job, giving advise, preparation for interviews, guiding me on my personal statement and CV on how I can improve. Kamal has also recommended me to take part in free courses that Workplace run, such as the first aid course. Kamal believed it will support me in my role within a childcare/education setting. I got my first job and current job with workplace. I normally lack confidence with the whole process of interviews, as I hate interviews. Kamal helped me boost my confidence for the interview for my current job as I booked an appointment with him to go through the job/person specification. We discussed about my experience and related it to the person specification of the job which helped me answer the questions during the interview which I normally lack confidence in. This interview was the best one so far beacause I was prepared for it thanks to Kamal. Kamal has supported me in many ways such as finding my current job, enhancing my existing skills and always responding to my calls/emails when I need advise or have queries. I am grateful for that and I would highly recommend Kamal Ali as a personal advisor because his good at what he does and he has us (Newham residents) at his best interest in securing the right job.

Whilst I was in college, Rehana would arrange to meet regularly to go over jobs and would place in me various screenings, that eventually led to my first job (and a few more afterwards). Rehana helped me whilst I was in University by sending me relevant information on internships and graduate schemes. Now I've graduated, Rehana has helped me to apply for graduate roles by providing me with CV and Covering Letter examples and tips for doing well in interviews.
