Experience was great until my partner was told he needed a cscs card after being placed in work for 2 weeks, he was told he didn't need one when he first signed up, he was then offered work which he was told specifically not to put on the company timesheet to be processed with the umbrella company, which he took as we have a family that needs supporting, and he is now still waiting to be paid for 2 weeks later. Even though it's only a days wage and it might not seem much but it's a weeks shopping for a family of 2 children and 2 adults! In between all this he called his "recruitment consultant" on a Monday morning after being promised work for the next week on the Friday (which was not arranged when it should have been) only to be told.... I'm not in today I was out drinking all weekend!!! Having worked in recruitment myself I am totally aware this is unacceptable behaviour for a consultant. Even if I hadn't worked in the industry I feel that being out drinking all weekend is a terrible excuse for not following through on a professional promise of work to a worker which should have been arranged with details sent before end of day on the day of the conversation!.... Edit I have been asked to remove my previous review....... I have changed from 1 star to 3 as the company has half resolved the issue and the person involved has been removed from the company...... still no pay though..... company is claiming that it was done on behalf of the employee and not through this business and so is not the fault of the company.... and yet this happened while this person was still employed.....
