Tori Goodyear from Brook Street York approached me about an engineering technician vacancy that they had. Although I was looking for a more senior position, Tori negotiated between employer and myself. I have ended up with a job that, I believe, is a genuine 'perfect match' for me and for the employer. I cannot convey my level of gratitude to Tori Goodyear and her manager Jane, who phoned me during the process. These are professional, highly capable people. They are easy to work with. Whether employer or candidate, they will be on your case.

Always a great experience working with Ollie at Brook Street. Came to them never having worked in temporary employment before and they couldn’t have been more helpful. I was a little tentative at first due to previous experiences with recruiters or agencies but Brook Street showed that they are a step above the rest. So story time- Back in February i applied for a temporary job because i was looking to get into admin/office work on the uk gov website. Truth be told I considered myself underqualified. I got a call from Ginta Sapare, Brookstreet handler extraordinaire, taking me through the fastest and efficient recruitment i've ever expericenced. Literally 2 days, this was Tuesday. I started on Friday. Ginta set me up on this journey and 3 months later I have a new permanent job with the agency's client. What I've enjoyed about going through Brookstreet was the communication, open-ness and what i can only describe as a genuineness in emotion i've not found in this sort of environment. It was refreshing and a joy to know I had the backing of the hard working people at Brookstreet! Fantastic company to work for who helped both me and my fiancé into roles for a great company which later lead to permanent roles. Oliver was fantastic and helping us both find work as well as supporting us with interviews and with ant problems that came up in placement. Moved up to York without a job. Went Straight into Brook street and spoke to a chap called Oliver who was very helpful. Within a few days I got a temping job at the MOD, brook Street handled all the dbs paperwork that needed completing prior to starting and kept me up to date throughout. Whilst in the job if I had any issues they were handled quickly and efficiently. I later went on to become a permanent member of the civil service and owe it all to Oliver and brook Street. Would highly recommend to anyone and they would be my first port of call should my working arrangements change

I am very thankful to Brook Street as I went in looking for work as would be expected and only about 1-2 weeks later they managed to find me a job. When I went into their office they were very friendly and polite which made me feel at ease as I had never been to a job agency before so I wasn't sure what to expect. And they were just as friendly and professional on my subsequent visit. I also got interview prep before going for my interview which I found very helpful as they also gave me an idea of what the actual place was going to be like. Catherine who was the person who helped me was very professional but also very approachable and really helped and kept in regular contact keeping me up to date on any news there was regarding the job search. The job I got with them I've been been at for 3 weeks now and I'm really enjoying it and if my new employer is anything to go by the clients they have are very good companies to work for as well so the job they help you get will be a good job. I couldn't recommend Brook Street more.

Can’t recomend or praise Brookstreet enough. Just finished my A-Levels when I visited the agency looking for some, at the time, temp work. Was greeted and welcomed very warmly by their fantastically helpful team. They went through with me exactly what I was looking for and found me a new job in no time with no hassle. My role involved me satrting as a temp worker for the NFU in the Equine department based in York. Within 8 weeks working there I have now been offered the role on a fixed term basis which I can not thank Brookstreet enough for. As, if it wasn’t for their help at the start I would never be in such a position. I absoloutely love my job and credit must go to the guys who worked very hard to give me the opportunity at starting at such a great company. Special thanks must be mentioned to Tom Long (Brookstreet) who could not have been more helpful in the whole process and constantly goes out of his way to ensure all is going well and if there is anything he can do for us. Not generally one for reviews, they can be a little artificial, however on this occasion it is meritted. Catherine Stroud was helpful from the off. I was not succesful with the first interviews obtained but Catherine spent time working out where my skills might be of interest. Did I get the perfect job? Or find the ideal set up? No. But life is a compromise and I have found ( with Catherine's help) a job I can do, at an acceptable rate of pay with a company that was pleased to offer me the vacancy. It took a while but Catherine remained genuinely intersted and looked diligently, keeping a watchful eye on anything new, indeed you could say it was almost by chance, that as a job I'd applied for melted away the job I got 'phoned in' that day. What more do you want?
