Over the last few months I have been in regular contact with Andrew Parkes. I first approached Andrew when I was exploring new opportunities, and I have since faced redundancy and countless job applications! Looking for work can feel difficult at the best of times but Andrew has been one of the most responsive and proactive recruiters I have had contact with. Andrew has always made the effort to keep in touch with any outcomes and has always been open, honest and transparent in his approach. Andrew has now helped me secure a quality and compliance role within Adult Social Care which I am really looking forward to! Great company to work for . I have worked for this company on and off for the past couple of years. Started off on the waste department on recycling and now i work on public realm doing a variety of tasks but predominantly on gardening. I have always been paid on time and booking holidays is easy. I have dealt mostly with steve and any queries i have get sorted quickly and with no problems. When applying for a role the recruiters explain the role in a lot of detail so you know what to expect when starting work. Also i had no problems returning to another role after leaving waste , i was welcomed back.

I would 100% recommend WorkWithYork to anyone who’s looking for a new role and is wanting to get a placement at York Council. I was sceptical at first with it been a recruitment/agency type as I left my previous council job for this role with the doubt of not been permanent but I hadn’t to worry. The idea is you go on 6/12 month contract and the you will have the chance to apply for the job role full time (internally) with the council as long as you can do the role. I dealt with Stephen Horne who was top class with me and any issues or worries i had regarding the role I could speak to him. He went above and beyond in finding all the info I needed which helped make my decision to leave my previous council job. I can’t recommend him enough. York is a great council to work for all equipment and training you need they can offer it.

I gave them a call and they were so helpful, I was able to email them my CV the same day, and call in to discuss what it was the company do and if they could find me some work. The lady I spoke to was really friendly and positive, she looked at my CV and explained to me how Work with York works. The process was so quick and easy and within a week I had been back to Work with York to talk about a job they thought would suit me. I had an interview for the job and was offered it an hour later. Work with York were so helpful, they gave me all the information I needed and responded to any quires I had via email or telephone promptly. The job fits perfectly around my schedule and is what I was looking for. The staff at Work with York really listened to my needs for work and recommended me for a role which could not have been more ideal.
