We had an incredible stag weekend! Tom was attentive, everything was just perfect and we had an excellent time. Food and beer were delicious, activities were fantastic and campsite was stunning! Would highly recommend!

Booked for daughters hen do.. delayed due to Covid and finally rebooked as soon as restrictions allowed. Excellent communication throughout, directions clear and camp was beautiful. Lovely river for swimming at bottom of field. Very clean spacious tents with lovely flooring. Good quality fire pit and BBQ and provided with vegan options for those that wished in our group. Activities on Coniston perfect, even in the rain! Funny, supportive instructor. Nothing was too much trouble for Tom at Nomad Events or Big Adventure co. Sat Eve meal at pub in Staveley only few mins drive and again good choice for vegans and meat eaters. We would like to return for family get together in future

Just returned from a weekend STAG party booked with Nomad. Tom and the team were brilliant to deal with, nothing was too much trouble and we had a great weekend. We booked for c. 25 people, BBQ (2 x nights) and full day activities. Was a little hesitant in terms of the amount of food, logistics to the activities etc... but I needn't have been! Food was great and there was absolutely loads, the events (raft building and gorge walking) we're really well organised and great fun. Would highly recommend. I plan to use the company again in the future for a more chilled weekend with the kids and some family friends. Top class, thanks again! Anthony

Would highly recommend Nomad events!! Tom couldn't have been more accommodating and understanding, nothing was too much effort for him and he was quick to respond. Campsite was clean, tidy and perfect for chilling round the BBQ and firepit. Activities on the Sat were spot on, the Ghyll scrambling got rid of any hangover pretty quickly!! The campsite was close to Kendal to go out for drinks and food on the Sat night. Tom helped make the stag a great success.

Cracking location for any group event, expertly set up and hosted by Tom. All activities where well organised and thoroughly enjoyed by all. Tipis kept the rain out when we had a down poor and kept the party going into the early hours. Bell tents were warm and dry and exactly what was needed. BBQ provided on the Friday night used a local butchers and was delicious. Second time I have used Nomad events and would defo use again. Thanks Tom!

What an amazing weekend we had Nomad events where great. There was 9 of us on a stag do. Nomad had the massive tents and bbq set up and ready for our arrival with a mixture of meats, salads, pastas and sauces also nibbles enough food to go around. First night sitting around the fire with bbq food and beers such a great laugh. The next day a full day of activity arranged we did ghyll scrambling and canoeing this was a great experience with dinner provided. I would highly recommend and I will certainly use Nomad events again 10 out of 10.

We went for a stag do and it was brilliant, you are litterally in the middle of nowhere so dont have to worry about noise too much. We had a bbq on the Friday night. Loads of good quality meat and all the trimming supplied, all you need is your drinks. We also did ghyll scrambling which was one of the best things any of us have done, such a laugh. There is a taxi firm that picks you up and drop you off where ever you want at a reasonable price. I would highly recommend this place for any occasion 👌

Absolutely fantastic experience with Nomad Events ! From enquiring to Nomads, booking up and eventually participating, it’s been a brilliant service with no issues or errors. We had been looking for the ‘perfect stag’ weekend for quite a few months and eventually found the perfect adventure in Nomads. The camp site met all of our needs and the activities were better than we were expecting. I personally found the process straight forward and Nomad’s provided all the correct information so nothing was not expected. Highly recommend their service that provided a great and friendly atmosphere!

Great weekend. Campsite is in a great location. Amazing views around and nice walks. Close enough to burnside, Kendal etc if you need any shops or restaurants. Tom was friendly and helpful. Cleanest portaloo I’ve ever seen. The activities at coniston were great. We did canoeing and gyhll scrambling. Michael our guide for the day was great, couldn’t of picked a better person to have for the day. Only improvement I’d say is the amount of food provided for the bbq Friday night. Between 10 men we could of done with a little bit more food but other than that it was a great addition to our weekend.

Tom arranged a fantastic weekend for our group in the Lakes. The campsite was well set up, location was private, plenty of food for the bbq. Communication was excellent throughout. Activities on the Saturday were spot on (Ghyll scrambling and raft building), perfect for our group of lads in our late 20s. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend.

We had the best day with Nomad events, we had the belle tent booked with Nomad events for the day. On arrival Tom greeted us in the car park, directed us to the tent, answered any questions and offered to help & then left us to it. The belle tent was stunning outside & inside, a table was set up outside for us, there was bunting around the tent, lots of sheepskin rugs inside. We threw a surprise baby shower & it couldn’t of gone better, our friend was selling up as it was such a beautiful location and event. It was great value for money & we will 100% be back for birthdays etc. Thanks again all staff at Nomad events.

Great experience from arriving to see the site first time, to the BBQ and sitting round the fire until late hours. I would recommend driving to the activities. We did Canadian Canoeing and raft build. Both teams managed to successfully cross Coniston back and forth 😀. Even the Taxi from K cars where top notch. Knew where the site was. Bang on time and only 12 quid ol too get to Kendal. Can't recommend enough!

We contacted Tom with fairly late notice due to Covid restrictions lifting and a stag do to organise in short time frame. Tom was quick and very informative in responding to my queries and requests for our planned weekend. The weekend was booked easily, without hassle and we had a stag do to look forward to! FACILITIES We had a bell tent kitted out with clean rugs and carpet and upon arrival we were all impressed. It kept the heat inside well despite torrential rain all weekend. The tipi was provided with a bench and table alongside a great quality gas bbq loaned to us for the full weekend. They provided a good amount of food for the Friday bbq but despite having 6 grown lads in our group, there was still some food leftover, showing portions provided were of good quality and quantity! Tom also provided enough fire wood and fire starters to keep us going all weekend, we didn’t need to top-up, but there is a local shop where you can get more nearby if need be. The showers on site weren’t the best, we struggled to get heat from them so we saved our showers for the activity centre on the Saturday. No real issue at all. Also, The campsite has Fantastic views and public footpaths nearby if you fancy a beer hike! ACTIVITIES well organised. Pack for the day as both activities are sorted from the same centre. We just drove as it saved money and was an easy travel. We took part in ghyll scrambling which I highly recommend, great fun and good instructor keeping you safe! We then had a lovely hot lunch and brew before heading to raft building for a competition against another group (we won of course) They give you all appropriate clothing for activities, but definitely take some trainers your happy to get wet and dry clothes for afterwards. Only recommendation isn’t for activity providers to maybe take photos on people’s behalf. This is a missed opportunity as they highly advise for people not to take phones but you miss out on capturing some good photos during the activities. All in all, a fantastic weekend. Good value, great location, not far from Kendal centre and perfect for weekend getaways. Can’t recommend enough! The whole group loved it. Thanks to Tom and Nomad events for sorting us out!

Had a fantastic weekend with Nomad for a stag do. The tipis were spacious and the activities were alot of fun! The staff were very friendly and even when I had to make changes to the booking they were very accommodating. The food provided for the bbq was great and there was plenty of it also!! The only slight negative was the liquid for the toilet flush hadn't been topped up enough. Thank you Nomad for such an amazing weekend, it couldn't have been better!

Great place to stay, fantastic location where you feel like you are in the middle of nowhere but actually you are close to all the Lakes have to offer. Brilliant set up for BBQ with an excellent spread of local meats and foods provided. Also fantastic actives to choose from, would do this again in heart beat!

Nomad and events and Tom were simply brilliant throughout. We were struggling to find a location for my cousin stag do and stumbled across Nomad by chance. We're so grateful we did. The food provided from the local butcher was brilliant and plentiful. Canoeing on Coniston Water on the second day really helped clear any blurry heads. And the Bell tents were clean and roomy inside. If you're wanting an experience off the beaten track, but close enough to civilisation, don't look any further than Nomad. Thanks again Tom and team

Tom, Kat and Phil were amazing hosts for our Stag. They really understood what being on a stag means, and by that I would not recommend taking the ringworm shot provided after activities… it’s chaotic. However I would recommend everything else. It’s Nomand events, but we had all enmities, we just brought a big battery charger for our speakers. The BBQ was great, had all we needed. Amazing venue, really feel at one with the outdoors. Scrambling was new to us, but we’ll worth it! The water is just what you need to sober you up and the adrenaline of jumping off cliffs and abseiling will wake you up. Overall - if you like outdoors and getting stuck in with nature, this is the place to go.

Booked a stag do with Nomad at very short notice and we all had a brilliant time, Tom was great from the off, very responsive and helpful with arranging our trip. The site was brilliant, very much off the beaten track and no neighbours that could be disturbed. The quantity and quality of BBQ food provided was great and served us for lunch the next day as well. Ghyll scrambling was definitely good fun- thoroughly recommend!!

Following a long search, we landed on Nomad for our annual "lads" get-together and what a choice. Communication was great from understanding activity options and landing on the perfect set up to dealing with ever changing dates due to the pandemic. Tom was great and when we finally got there camo was set up and had everything you needed. A well catered first night BBQ hit the spot after a long journey. Activities were well organised and felt professional (really recommend the Ghyll Scramble). All in all a great weekend enjoyed by all!

A brilliant hen weekend for my sister. Location was beautiful and helped massively by the weather! The BBQ was fab and there was loads! Tipis and bell tents perfect and we decorated them to add a girly touch. The activities the next day were amazing and we had such a great time- everyone got stuck and I would recommend Ghyll scrambling to everyone! The men went on their stag the following week and had just as good a time. All in all I would definitely recommend! Brilliant!

Given the uncertainty around restrictions due to covid, I was looking for somewhere that could accommodate a stag group planning outdoor activities. Nomad events was perfect! The site has limited amenities but is an incredible location and very private so there were no concerns of disturbing other campers. They provided ample supplies for a BBQ and arranged activities for us to do at coniston water. Weekend went perfectly and was enjoyed by all.

We had a great weekend in the private campsite, it was perfect for our stag group. We used the Tipi for a ‘beer festival’ tent and enjoyed chilling round the fire. Bell tents were very spacious too. The location is amazing and in ideal isolation for a bit of music, messing about. BBQ add on was huge and in my opinion super value.

Booked this perfect find with Tom and from start to finish it has been an absolute breeze. Despite the stag do being short due to an accident in the group the time had there was brilliant. Campsite was spectacular, tents and amenities all spot on and the BBQ provision as part of the package was perfect. I went on a hen party with 7 others and both camp and activities were fantastic. I can’t praise Tom on site and John at the activities centre enough for all their help, support and kindness. They are so easy going and at hand if you need anything. The camp is gorgeous, private and has all the essentials needed. The activities are fun, scary and such a laugh. We had the best time and our hen loved it! I would definitely recommend Nomad Events and will do it again.

We had one tipi and two bell tents between 14. Really comfortable and spacious. A lovely private quiet site with an amazing view of Kendal and the lakes. Highly recommend and well worth every penny! Just home from my amazing hen do with Nomad Events. 2 nights in the tipis with a BBQ night one- amazing range of food provided (enough for sausage butties for breakfast) and BBQ really easy to use. Adventure day with ghyl scrambling and raft building was such good fun with brilliant instructors. We had such perfect weather for it just a tad cold first night but we arranged ourselves better for night two which helped. Tom was really friendly and helpful but then left us to our own devices which meant we could do whatever we liked. We aren't much of a rowdy bunch but still plenty of chat and sing a longs. Would certainly go back for any occasion, very highly recommend! Thanks for having us!

Nomad Events hosted a stag do for us this weekend and everyone had a great time. Tom was quick to respond the our questions whilst we were organising the event and he also provided us with a good sized bbq for the first night and plenty of fire wood. We weren’t very luck with the weather but the tents were comfortable and the tipi was a great communal area (combined with the fire pit) to shelter from the wind and rain. The activities aren’t far away but being the Lake District it’s a fair drive to some of them. The guys running each of the activities were really friendly and tailored our sessions to cater for the entire group. I’d also highly recommend swimming in the Tarn. Excellent hangover cure. Overall, we’d definitely come back for another adventure, and hopefully a bit more sunshine!

17 of us where here last weekend for a hen doo and can’t recommend it enough!! On the run up to the weekend, I had lots of questions which I’d fired away at Tom and he’d always come straight back to me with all the answers. The location we were put in was just beautiful with lovely views right next to a crystal clear river. We chose to have a BBQ on the Friday night at our tents which Tom supplied all the food and cooking utensils we needed..... there was absolutely loads of food!! Including chicken, burgers, sausages, veg, salad, buns, coleslaw, hummus, even chocolate fingers and much more supplied for us. The tens were clean, spacious and the mattresses supplied were very comfy too. We headed off to Cafe Ambio on our way to the activities for a spot of breakfast and it was superb!! We chose to do Ghyll scrambling and raft building as part of our package and we all thoroughly enjoyed it!! The guys at big adventure were great with us and we had a great time with lots of giggles and fun!! The lunch served in between the activities was nice and there was plenty of choice with hot beverages supplied. We headed into Kendal for a night out on the Saturday which again Tom supplied the details for us to arrange taxis to and from. This was an amazing weekend had by all (one we will never forget!) with great service throughout from Tom, the guys at cafe Ambio and big adventure. We will be back!!

As a stag party, we wanted a place for all of us to make some noise without disturbing other campers. After being turned down by two other campsites, I was advised to give Nomad a call as they were able to accommodate stag parties on private property. I emailed Tom at Nomad an idea of the group size and the various activities we wanted to do. He instantly came back with some ideas for a weekend itinerary. As we had already booked to do activities at nearby Rookin House on the Friday, we chose to do just Ghyll Walking on the Saturday. Food-wise, we went for the Nomad BBQ option on the first night and we had a cooler of meat, salad, buns, crisps and sweets waiting for us at the campsite. In fact, there was so much food that we ended up using some of it for lunch the following day! There were 11 in our group and having two bell tents was the perfect amount of space. As the weather was great, we only used the Tipi for bag/food storage. The private toilet and shower on the site were basic but did the job. On the Saturday we drove to the Ghyll Walking arranged by Nomad with local company, Big Adventure. The instructor, Mark, was great and the kit was top quality. Following the Ghyll walking we arranged for three taxis to pick us up and take us into Kendal for the evening. Overall, the weekend was a success and I would recommend using Nomad for a unique and memorable experience.

Just enjoyed a weekend organised by Nomad events. Arrived Friday to a well set up campsite (sole use) with great scenery. We were met at the site and shown around, bbq provided with plenty of food to go around. Nearby walks recommend which were good. Ghyll scrambling and canoeing in Coniston were really enjoyed by the whole group. Relaxing around the fire pit on Saturday and then woke up Sunday and didn’t have to wash up or collapse tents, my kind of camping! Well organised and great value for money

Amazing weekend! Cant recommend enough. The location is spot on, nice and quiet and far enough away to let your hair down. The food for the bbq was spot on aswell plenty for everyone with leftovers for breakfast. The activitys were amazing (ghyll scrambling is a must 👌) and the guys over at the activity centre were great and made it a very fun day for all of us. Thanks again Tom for giving us all a weekend to remember 👍

Very nice set up for a stag do. Everything provided for a BBQ on the Friday was great. Weather wasn't brilliant so having the tipi and gazebo was nice. Having to pay £12 per person to park in an unsecured field is somewhat of a joke though.

Just got back from a brilliant weekend for my hen do. The campsite was great, beautiful surroundings. The sheep wake up early though! The bell tents and tipi were sturdy and there was a bbq with tons of food ready for our arrival. Tom had even set up a lovely stretch taup to protect us from the bit of rain we had on the Friday night so we could make full use of socialising outdoors. We made good use of the campfire, Tom had kindly provided some firewood and drinking water. The toilet and shower facilities were basic but functional. Tom also arranged our activities and lunch for us for the Saturday making it a very easy hen-do to plan which was a bonus! We didn’t find the site easily the first time around and should have paid closer attention to the written instructions as the site doesn’t have its own postcode. A quick call to Tom helped us to get there in the end. My deposit was returned swiftly and in full too. Everyone had a fantastic time and I’d 10/10 recommend! Wish we could have stayed longer.

Had amazing time at nomad events over the weekend! We arrived at our secluded location to our teepee and two bell tents ! Rang Nomad events and they brought our food down for our bbq and explained a few things like how to work the shower and the bbq and off he went to leave us to it ! No one in site so we could really party and didn't have to worry about bothering any neighbours ! There was an empty field next to our camp site that we could use for activets like rounders and football ...all round amazing weekend and definitely will be back at some point!

Nomads do a first rate job start to finish. From planning & customising to our needs, answering all of our queries, welcoming us and giving some great local tips. They’re a pleasure to deal with. Great location - secluded but well enough connected and with the basic amenities. You have the Lakes (& several great breweries) on your doorstep. Great equipment - tested in some pretty epic weather during our visit and kept us dry and cosy. Great supplies - Sourced and delivered from the best local butchers and brewery. Great value I heartily recommend Nomad’s to anyone who reads this. Everyone should stay in a Tee Pee at least once in their life!

The activities were well organised and expertly led, we did the Ghyll scrambling which was a great experience and highly recommended. We booked with Nomad for my brother’s stag do and it was unbelievable. Everyone had a superb time. I would recommend the e-mountain biking at Grizedale forest for an activity. We even had my 62 year old dad make it round a 13 mile loop of decent fun fast trail. Tom (Mr Nomad) helped organise the weekend and made everything stress free.

Excellent site in a very picturesque location. We had a brilliant easter weekend Ghyll scrambling and raft building with a lovely Bbq. The site is well hidden, but with a really cool Teepee and a lovely bell tent. Would definitely recommend to anyone.

Great weekend on the friday tom brings a great bbq pack with everything you need from sauce to bread and all the meat, crisps with dips Wood for fire brilliant can not fault it 1 bit

17 lads for a stag do, lovely setup in a field just outside of Kendal, ideal for groups, great company, we were well looked after by Tom from the moment we enquired, stayed on site for a bbq which was supplied the 1st night then got taxis into Kendal on the 2nd night, would highly recommend for anyone looking for a group getaway!
