When looking at the events that are coming up at Bedford Corn Exchange there is never a shortage of the finest National and International talents. From a cover ground of The Spice Girls, to John Lydon, James Manford, John Bishop, Jimmy Carr the list goes on and on. With it being central to Bedford on the market square it is a very easy place to find and the staff are also incredibly helpful, professional and polite. With the small balcony area the Exchange offers good seating and all offers full viewing of the performances on stage. It will never get tiring!

Saw "The Floyd Effect" here, the show was brilliant. The corn exchange is a well laid out venue with easy access. The seats were reasonably comfortable with enough leg room. The staff did an excellent job during the whole event. Thanks for a great time, will be booking again.

Went here recently to see The Shires who were amazing. Was really pleased I had booked seats in the upstairs balcony as it was really busy downstairs in the standing area. We had a very good view of the stage and the acoustics were pretty good too.

My first visit to the Bedford Corn Exchange and an enjoyable experience it was too! Easy to find (well signposted) this is a good repurposing of a market town's traditional building. It is a large space a with deep stage, plenty of floor space and balcony seating. I went to see Live Wire ( The best AC-DC tribute band ). The sound quality is excellent, decor dated but clean and there's a bar charging very reasonable prices. My only niggle was that the waste bins, that we're opened just prior to the band appearing on stage, we're a hit smelly. Security staff were present and friendly. Toilets are a bit of a walk from the front to the front of the stage but we're clean and easy to find.

We went to see Luther Vandross tribute, the singer was very good , great engagement with the audience. Loved the song set, not predictable. Everyone around me seemed to agree. The backing singers also had their turn who are also talented in their own right. Fun night out drinks not expensive, lifts and disabled accessibility. Loved it.

The band Go your own, were excellent, particularly liked the info the singer gave about various songs. The bars in the same room as the band encourages audience to get up and down throughout show, which I found irritating. Also, some of the audience very disruptive. But overall a fun night out.

The easing of the pandemic restrictions means the Corn Exchange, Bedford is back in business and, boy, are they making up for lost time. A varied selections of acts means something for everyone. The bar has wide selection for all palates and the ice cream is rather tasty. Staff are friendly and helpful.

Good show let down by cramped seating, the seats do not fold so there is no room for people to pass. There were no alcohol free beers or wine at the bar for those driving etc, and no tea or coffee! Sugary soft drinks the only option. It is time Bedford had a proper theatre, those that took a fast buck and allowed the Granada and Century cinemas be demolished, hang your head in shame!!!

Classic repurposed important building in Central Bedford, close to the new Riverside development and it's Cinema and restaurants. Perfectly placed for a great night out. My particular evening had a 70's tribute band performing. The staff were organised, helpful and courteous and a good time was had by all!

Great venue. Easy parking in multi-storey carpark which is less than a 5 minute walk away. Went to see The Floyd Effect here. They would have been quite good if each band member hadn't vied to be the loudest. 😂🤣😂 They need a sound engineer if they want to be taken seriously!

Oh yes! Great venue. Two brill bands played on the night, Spear of Destiny and the Skids. The sound was awesome. Good layout. Easy to get in and out of the venue as exits and toilets are not far from the main stage area. Good parking up the road from the venue. Highly recommended.

I’ve visited the corn exchange many times for different events, the last being the 2018 beer festival in October. It’s a great venue and there are multiple levels inside. From what I can remember, the lower ground is where your toilets are, middle floor is your main hall and the upper floor are the balconies where you can sit and observe the floor below. I’ve also attended record fairs here and it is spacious enough for all events I’ve been to. The staff (possibly volunteers) I’ve come across are always friendly, helpful and they’re great to have a laugh with. Love coming here.

Visited here for the first time yesterday to watch a show, and had a very good experience. The downstairs area felt somewhat small with many people waiting for the play to start, yet with decent seating, quick and friendly service at the bar. There is a lift for those who cannot access the stairs to the main auditorium. The acoustics of the auditorium are good, we really enjoyed the show!

An amazing venue hosting a wide variety of acts from drama to contemporary dance and comedy to classical music. Large auditorium with great acoustics, but minimal lighting rig. Definitely a venue for the lighter side of the performing arts, but still one of the best in the area.

Beautiful original old Bedford building, I always love attending functions here in this historic building, it always looks well maintained. Staff are welcoming, friendly and helpful. Attended a wake after the funeral of an old friend it was lovely to be able to celebrate the life of this person in this space.

Nice venue and staff. Seats aren't plush, so sitting for 90 minutes was tough. Hence 4 stars. Also if you are travelling from outside Bedford, check out the parking beforehand. There isn't any directly by the theatre so you might need to allow 10-15 minutes to park and walk to the venue. There is parking quite close by though

Excellent venue but can be let down by poor organisation which depends on the individual sponsor. In our case, reserved seats had been mistakenly double-booked which led to some confusion. Staggered seating so great viewing. Good toilet facilities. Find your own parking.

There is a new vegetarian and vegan cafe just opened next to the main entrance to the Corn Exchange. It serves great coffee and other drinks, tasty snacks and a small lunch menu that will grow over time. Sometimes it seems that Bedford is overloaded with coffee houses but this place is unique and well worth visiting. It is also a venue for local artists to display and sell their products. A local business, supporting other local businesses and really getting it right is something worth celebrating.

Saw The Drifters here July 2018. An absolutely fantastic night was had. The audience were up and dancing, the group were fantastic. Staff couldn't be more helpful. Definitely worth a visit

Saw Incognito and Norman Jay. Well sort off as my host bounced around once Norman started until he slipped on beer and ruined his ankle and my night. Acoustically it wasnt great by the bar and improved massively once I fiund a spot in the middle back of the hall just infront and under the balcony. Stand there it will be worth it for any Music Event.

Medium sized venue that's showing its age a little now. Decor is in need of some TLC. Bar prices reasonable but cash only. Great selection of shows but seats are cramped and uncomfortable

We went here for the first time, last week to see One night in Texas, unfortunately it was the day of really heavy rain & they had been flooded so we were not able to sit in the seats we had booked, as the tiered seats are operated electrically, & they could nod not use the electrics, some of the over head lighting could not be used either for the show, which was not their fault, was still a very good show. Our only thing we didn't like about the venue was the fact that the bar was in the auditorium, & people were up & down constantly buying drink, this really spoilt the show, people couln't even go an hour until the break without getting up, very disrespectful to the performers as well. I understand that this is very likely a good part of the income for the corn exchange, but it doesn't make for a very enjoyable evevning out, we have already purchased tickets to see Marti Pellow, in November, which we did before we went, which i am hoping is better than last week, in the end we actually got up & went & sat right at the back, we could still see everything, & the people walking past were that bit further away. Real shame as this has put us off going there, & we do enjoy going to see different events.

In 2019, there was the final of the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity with the concert POPARZENI KAWĄ TRZY. Impressions are a plus in terms of organization. (Original) Miejsce oragnizacji srednich imorez muzycznych i nie tylko. Spora powierzchnia, kilka poziomów, dosc przestronnie. Mozna skorzystać z pobliskiego parkingu River, który jest czynny 24h a dodatkowo w niedzielę bezpłatny. W 2019 był tu finał WOŚP z koncertem POPARZENI KAWĄ TRZY. Wrażenia na plus pod względem organizacyjnym.
