As the parents of the bride, our daughter Kim and her husband Ross had the most wonderful wedding event at Folly. The venue itself is so beautiful, with very comfortable accommodation. Special thanks to the catering team, from the canapés to the wedding breakfast, superb. The guests are still talking about it now. Clare went above and beyond in ensuring my grandson, who has special needs, was happy and looked after. This gave our daughter peace of mind on her special day knowing her son was happy. Thank you Clare and the team. I will definitely recommend Folly to anyone who wants a memorable wedding event. Yvonne & Martin Rose

Had our wedding at folly farm 11/08/22 and I can’t put into words how amazing the venue and staff are! They made our day absolutely perfect and I wish we could relive it everyday. We had our wedding at Folly Farm Centre in May 2021 with 30 guests. The venue is absolutely stunning, a well kept eco retreat within a beautiful nature reserve. The buildings are rustic and authentic. The grounds are calm, serene and full of nature. It felt like a proper getaway, despite being close to Bristol and Bath. The staff couldn't be more accessible, friendly and helpful. They made our restricted Covid wedding easy and stress free to organise. Right from start to end, the staff were on hand to help and nothing was ever too much to ask. We had guests stay Friday and Saturday with amazingly catered food throughout (shout out to Thyme Catering!). If you're thinking about having your wedding here, DO IT! You will have the best weekend of your lives and memories to last a lifetime! What's also amazing is that your money will go to the Avon Wildlife Trust. Thank you Folly Farm WE LOVE YOU! X

They even were flexible with letting us alter a menu for a Latino themed Rehearsal Dinner. Cannot recommend highly enough!

We are so pleased to have chosen Folly Farm to get married at. Clare did everything she possibly could to ensure that our day went smoothly. Communication beforehand was great - we had a lot of ideas and plans for the day, the team were really flexible with these and Clare helped us in every way. On the day, Clare, Ben and the team were everywhere helping. From getting the guestbook and other guest activities started with little notes, to other little touches like shielding the bridesmaids from the wind with colourful umbrellas. They really went above and beyond to make sure our guests were comfortable and well-looked after. We had the best day and Folly Farm will always be very special to us. Finally, knowing that the profits from the day go to the Avon Wildlife trust is the cherry on top.

As a wedding venue Folly Farm is delightful. A beautiful setting, with accommodation for people who need to travel. Everything was done to make the ceremony just as the happy couple wanted and afterwards the luncheon was extremely good and the staff so professional and just thoroughly nice. For the gaps in proceedings that always happen a few of us took a nice 20 minute signposted walk, on a well made pathway. That filled the time nicely. No idea about cost, but drinks from the bar seemed reasonable. No hesitation recommending people to check this out.

A massive thank you to Clare, Ben and the team at Folly Farm for making our wedding run perfectly. Folly Farm is a wonderful venue set in a nature reserve with picturesque views of the Chew Vally Lake and Mendip hills. The accomodation and facilities are excellent, the team are attentive and helpful, and everything ran as expected on the day. We are both so pleased to have had our wedding at Folly Farm and cannot rate the venue and service highly enough.

We had our wedding at Folly last summer and we loved every minute! The team made everything so easy from the planning right through to everything on the day, it was perfect. The food was excellent, the staff were all fab, and the venue looked stunning all day...even with patches of rain! Can't recommend Folly enough for a fun packed weekend wedding, having everyone together in one place for BBQ, breakfasts etc on top of the wedding was an amazingly memorable experience!

Folly Farm is a truly special place. When my fiance and I first viewed the venue back in 2015, we just knew that we would be getting married there. We planned our 2020 wedding with the help of the fantastic team, especially Claire and Ben. When the pandemic turned our plans upside down, they bent over backwards to help us re-arrange. We stayed at the venue twice over the summer and made amazing memories. The nature reserve is truly beautiful and we really enjoyed the different walks which are signposted from the carpark and open to the public. We may not know what the next few months will bring but we cannot wait to become husband and wife at Folly Farm.

I attended an wedding at Folly farm and found the staff very friendly, efficient and hard working. The organisation and quality of venue was tremendous. The chef and team served high quality food, hot and wholesome to many guests with speed and efficiency. Additional services such as the outdoor fire and hay bales, the extra food and reasonably priced bar added to a great experience.

Folly Farm hosted my daughter's wedding and I cannot praise them highly enough. The venue, the food, the arrangements and the service were of the highest standard and meant that my daughter and her new husband had a wonderful time; an opinion shared by all the guests I spoke with. This was even though we had two medical emergencies during the wedding (nothing to do with the venue) and Clare, the manager, went to great lengths in dealing with these...even arranging for the resident first-aider to take one guest to the local medical centre and keeping my wife updated on what was going on. Indeed, Clare went well beyond the extra mile. She was an absolute star and very attentive to our needs. The accommodation was comfortable and quaint, and the cups in our room were sparkling clean. I am happy to give Folly Farm a full 5 star rating, and thank you to Clare and her team for giving my daughter a lovely wedding day.

Wow! What a fantastic wedding venue! There's lots of space, style and character which we loved when we looked around. There's so much opportunity to make the day suit you - different to many venues where there are fewer ways to make the day your own. Our guests loved it with gorgeous views over Chew Valley Lake in the distance. There are lots of opportunities for great photographs around the site. Stella and the team were great, relaxed and friendly. They are clearly very experienced and well set up as a wedding venue. They were there to answer questions and help when help was needed - but let us get on with making our day our own too. My hair was done by Kerrie (she was recommended by folly). She was great to have around in the morning of the day, and rather impressively created my hairstyle from a photo with ease! She was good with my niece, who was rather shy, and she very kindly helped me out when I came a bit unstuck with my make-up too. Other positives include: great to be able to host over 40 guests in simple accommodation; choice of caterers (we used pieminister which was great food, and they were very professional and straight forward); no corkage; licensed for weddings - so whole wedding could be held there; venue was ours for the whole weekend; the three piglets out at the back who seemed very happy having their backs scratched by our guests! We would not hesitate in recommending Folly Farm! Thank you all so much - Wynne and Tom xx

We had a wedding at Folly Farm in late September. Andrew, Stella and the team were great. The setting is delightfully rural, with lovely views over the Chew Valley towards the lake. We had use of the whole centre from Friday afternoon to Sunday morning, providing our guests with a relaxing weekend of celebration. Some of them enjoyed walking the woodland trails before the wedding. The main hall was ideal for the reception with 70 guests and for dancing afterwards. Thanks to Folly Farm for a fabulous wedding weekend.

If you are thinking of getting married.... get married at Folly Farm. We got married here recently and the day was wonderful this was largely down to Clare the wedding organiser, I stayed the night before with a few members of the bridal party and from the moment we arrived she made us feel very welcome and greeted us with Prosecco, she also let us use the dairy to make breakfast the day of the wedding. The room was lovely and clean and came with an impressive walk in shower. Clare ensured the day went smoothly and went above and beyond to ensure that our day was enjoyable, she also dealt with medical incidents, and let one of her staff members take my aunty to the hospital so other guests could enjoy the wedding, she also helped keep the children entertained and had a great trick up her sleeve so the toddlers would walk up the aisle on their own (meaning we have those pictures of our son that we can cherish). The tables were set up beautifully, the drink prices were reasonable and it's good that all profits go to a charity (Avon Wildlife Trust). We were blessed with nice weather so we could get married outside and the views over Chew Valley were beautiful. We opted for the bbq food and homemade sausage rolls and pizza in the evening and the food was amazing an opinion shared by many guests. We enjoyed having a homemade cooked breakfast the next morning with family and friends and again the food was excellent. Some people may describe me as being a little bit of a control freak so to pass the control onto somebody else initially scared me a little, however if I could pass that control onto anybody it would be Clare, she did a perfect job and helped create our special day, so much so I am wondering if I can go back and have my 40th birthday celebrations here!!.. Thank you to Clare and the team at Folly Farm, we will come back to visit, Lucy, Barry and Jonny.

From the moment we booked both Folly Farm & Thyme Chef, we felt at ease. Folly Farm is the most beautiful, laid back venue, and we couldnt have wished for anything better & more suitable for us. And to everyone at Thyme Chef, you helped us throughout. Everyone said the food was amazing & there were lots of comments on how kind all the staff were, so thank you!! When we arrived, we had a lot of stuff, as I had the day pictured in my head from the very start of exactly how I wanted it to look. Everyone enjoyed it so much, and the outdoor games were enjoyed by all. Both Folly Farm & Thyme Chef are so much more than a venue & caterers, they have helped plan throughout, and feel more like friends than suppliers.

Pro and cons. Good location, good serving staff, reasonable bar prices. Clean linen in rooms. Rooms not very clean and cups in room 12 were filthy. Claire the organiser was very elusive and did not return phone calls prior to stay.

Really lovely place to come for a walk, we took a baby in a buggy and a five y/o and spent a good few hours walking. The paths are well marked and you have a few choices of distance, the path we took was ok to take the buggy although we did have to carry it a short distance up and down some steps. There were no cafe facilities when we went, but it is a great place to take a picnic instead.
