Would definitely recommend this shop, I bought my wedding dress 2 years ago, for my wedding that should have taken place last year, I'd been to other shops and felt really uncomfortable as they only had really small sizes, and not everyone is small, I went to Special Day and Appletons and found my dress virtually straight away!!! I also bought my two bridesmaid dresses, which were stunning. Sadly due to lockdown my wedding got postponed to 16th September this year, and Jackie at the shop was amazing, she replied to all my emails very quickly to re assure me on any concerns I had, I didn't want to have my dress at home for 18 months while waiting to see if my wedding could or couldn't go ahead? They kept the dress there for me in storage, along with the bridesmaid dresses for the whole 18months at very minimal cost, and as soon as they were open had lots of contact to re arrange all my fittings. It was never too much trouble when ever I got in contact with the shop or the lovely Dorota who was carrying out the alterations. Myself and the bridesmaids had lots of fittings due to the amount of time that had elapsed since buying the dresses. We had the most amazing wedding last week and the dresses looked absolutely beautiful, I would definitely recommend this shop to any bride! Thanks for everything kirsty.x

Great service from Appleton's. I got invited last minute to a posh dinner with RAF at the Concorde museum and Appleton's sorted me out no problems. Easy pick up and return. very friendly staff. Would not hesitate to use them again. Thanks very much for helping me out! Five stars!

I visited special day and it was my first experience of trying on wedding dresses. The whole experience was amazing from start to finish (including booking the appointment). I was made to feel at ease by Michelle and the team who went above and beyond to make it a relaxing experience. I managed to say yes to the dress and I couldn't be happier! I visited the shop on Monday with my sister to find the perfect dress for my wedding. I cannot thank Julie enough for her assistance, a lovely lady. I am an older bride and wanted my dress to be age appropriate, simple and elegant. I had a dress in mind which I'd seen online but I tried some others on that Julie suggested. She made me feel at ease and comfortable with it all , and knew exactly what I wanted from a dress. I did purchase the dress that I had originally seen and im over the moon with it. I would absolutely recommend this shop to any bride. I look forward to going back when my dress comes in to have my alterations/fitting done. Brilliant staff! Were incredibly helpful when choosing my bridal dress. They have a lovely selection, not over priced. The staff were not pushy like some bridal shops can be. Dorota was amazing! she made me feel so comfortable and was very experienced with tailoring. I had so many compliments on my dress on the day and absolutely loved wearing it.
