Honestly a 10/10 experience, We visited here twice in two weeks because it was just such a great atmosphere. They talk you through how to throw the axes safely but while also having fun. We had someone called Kit I believe and Jake the week before, he was informative and hilarious. Everyone was made to feel welcome no matter how good you are. We will definitely be returning here!

Such a great night! Me and my friend booked on a whim as we were passing through Bristol. Place had a great atmosphere and good vibes. Our instructor Theo really made the experience and was so fun and helpful. Really worth the price

Alex was a great instructor, loads of fun whilst being incredible heath and safety conscious at all times. I would recommend him for a switch from minimum to maximum wage immediately. How can one human have so many fun and interesting facts stored in their brain!?!?!?

A group of us went midweek in Bristol and overall had a excellent time. The staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming, and give a great deal of energy. I liked the fact that the staff run the event for you and kept the scores for you. Our instructor was full of energy and humour and kept it all fun. Although we got two free drinks as part of the £27 price per person, I think over the course of an hour and half, we got a total of just 20 throws, 5 of them were the warm up set. If you made it to the final, you got an extra 5 throws. So, with 8 of us, and half that being a different group of people, there is a fair amount of waiting for your turn with only a semblance of interest in watching people you have never met throw. It was a fun evening though and I would do it again, but I would have liked a few more throws of the axe for the money we paid.

He was supportive, encouraging and a right laugh, brilliant instructor. Had a lot of fun throwing axes, trying out the tournament and cheering everyone on. I was slightly nervous about axe throwing to start with but once we got into the swing of it, it was so much fun. The staff made you feel relaxed and comfortable with throwing and gave tips where needed to improve. They also hype you all up to give you a great experience and fun time. Would definitely recommend.

My wife and I went here for my birthday and it was a great experience. Jake was our instructor and he was a lot of fun. He kept coming up with new rounds for the mini-tournament we were playing. Our throwing definitely improved with his tips and tweaks. We were also lucky enough to end up with a lane to ourself, but I think even if we'd been mixed in with another group it would have still be very good fun. Highly recommended, and a shout out for Jake for making it such a great evening.

Great venue and a great event. The staff were amazing and overall we had a great time. 15 drink lads and the team managed it well. A couple of negative point wold be 1. The beer choices and larger choices aren’t the best. I can see what they are trying to do but they could do with some more main stream options. 2. The female manager was very power crazy. 2 lads in our group in her opinion over stepped the line… fair enough pull them and have a word. Lecturing a whole group of professional men who are Farthers to daughter themselves because of 2 was not the way to handle it. She let her team down if you ask me. Bit she got her ego fix so I’m sure she is happy with herself. Would definitely visit again

Spontaneous Saturday out. Virgin Axe thrower. Wonderful place for all occasions. Beckett Created a show and it delivered. Really nice place where you can feel relaxed smashing axes into wood and grabbing a nice bite to eat with a refreshing drink. All staff as enthusiastic as the next which draws you in more. A great experience, all should try!

I visited Whistle Punks on the 26th June. Harvey went above and beyond to ensure that our stag party were looked after. There were a few difficulties with our booking and Harvey went out of his way to make sure we had an unforgettable experience axe throwing. Axe Throwing can seem daunting but Harvey made the group feel like we were in a fun and safe environment for the entire visit. Keep up the great work Harvey and team!

Finally managed to go last night and it was fantastic. Great fun, great energy from the team, everyone there was having a great time. Our instructor Ben, was brilliant. He took his time to explain how to throw the axes safely and not injure yourself in the process. It’s harder than you think to get the axes to stay in the board, but once you get the hang of it, it’s gets easier and is really satisfying. 😀

Had an absolutely brilliant time! Accessibility: they have ramps all the way in and the place is completely accessible including accessible toilets. Bar is a bit high but they do have table service. The master of ceremonies will help picking up your axe. Host: Melanie was our mistress of ceremonies (I am assuming they have a different term for this but I couldn't hear over the music) she did an amazing job and taught us all how to splinter the boards into shape! She was incredibly fun and lovely. Venue: very covid safe they disinfect everything between groups. It does have a 90's Laser quest vibe, which you are going to love or hate, personally I felt a bit nostalgic about it. Suggestions on improvements: get some more comfortable chairs, turn the music down a notch, maybe some games to play in between (air hockey, pool) and give the place more of a cool hangout vibe and this would be the kind of place I would always come back to.

The venue itself is pretty awesome! All staff were super sweet and fun, it was like hanging out with a bunch of buddies. They had one of my favourite beers at the bar too, always a plus lol. However, the legend that is Jay absolutely made our trip! He is an instructor there and clearly loved the job. The axe throwing was so much fun, and he helped us improve (well, those who could be helped haha) but he also joined in with the banter. Obviously there was some Health and Safety, but Jay didn't bore us through that part either! We will definitely go again, and will be requesting Jay! Thanks all, had a blast!

We were quite slow but no one was booked in after us and she let us run late! She was so lively and really brought our session to life. Would highly recommend to anyone. It was very satisfying when you'd manage to land a decent throw. Our instructor Harvey was a great guy too. Was a super fun experience the trainer we had was call Jay and he had just the right amount of enthusiasm, that made the experience so much more enjoyable. The venue itself could do with a phone number for any issues, saying this I messaged them on Facebook as I had an issue with my arrival time and they where quick to respond and help. A great evening, friendly and helpful staff. Our instructor, Harvey, did a great job of keeping use safe from the flying lumps of sharp metal, helping us improve our technique to throw the axes and give us encouragement when the axes weren't doing what we wanted them to (everyone was able to get their axe in the target and score points) It started with a practice session trying both single and double handed axe throwing to see which your better at, and then on to a competition which was usually about who could get the axe to stay in the target with out it bouncing off (if someone was suspected of been good they are encouraged to go for the harder targets which had a good chance of scoring nothing if you miss the very small circle). Covid wise, lots of hand sanitiser, room to keep apart from the other guests, you're allocated an axe for the session, and if your lucky enough to have a go at double axe throwing, the extra axe was wiped down before you use it.

Visited as part of a stag do and would definitely like to do it again. The actual axe throwing lasted about 75 minutes with our group of 18 split into 2 teams with a variety of practice throws before the competitions started. You get plenty of throws too which was awesome. Hats off the instructors (Sam and Big Lou i think) who were spot on throughout. Only criticism was drink prices are pretty steep for 330ml cans. Would recommend the place though overall.

Pros: You get to throw axes. Loads of nice hipster beer in colourful cans. Fresh pizza. Staff who seem to really enjoy what they do and make it as immersive as possible. Cons: They don't take cash. You have to share your experience with several other groups; we went as a group of 5 and we were with at least six other people over two axe throwing lanes. If you're not very good you won't get as many goes. It's very strictly moderated for safety reasons so only two people can participate at one time which is good but it means lots of waiting around. Tip: book in advance. We rocked up on a Wednesday 10 mins after it opened and it was packed.

For us, this trip to the center of Bristol was more than worthwhile and we can warmly recommend the Whistle Punks with a clear conscience. Wir hatten bei unserer gebuchten Axt-Werfen-Session mehr als nur ein bisschen Spaß. Ich war aus unserer Gruppe nicht die einzige, die mit ein bisschen Vorbehalt an die Sache rangegangen ist - aber unser Instruktor, Jovis, hat uns nicht nur alles hervorragend erklärt und die Angst genommen, sondern uns auch bei jedem Durchgang hilfreiche Tipps gegeben. Für uns war dieser Ausflug in das Zentrum von Bristol mehr als nur lohnenswert und wir können die Whistle Punks guten Gewissens wärmstens weiterempfehlen.
