Visited here a few times during lockdown and whilst the restrictions did make it a bit awkward, we all had a great time. Staff were very friendly and welcoming, we had a few games of bowling, played on the arcades and pool tables. All in all a great day out! Keep up the good work!

Good fun a round of bowling, great atmosphere and reasonably priced food & drinks. The staff bring it over to the bowling area which is a nice bonus. Nice little arcade and pool tables too. Would be 5* stars but the one barrier stayed up the whole time of our game, we mentioned this to staff but they said there was nothing that could be done.

FANTASTIC customer service from Dan, Andrew, & not forgetting the clean up crew, son lost his keys but didn't realise until he got home at gone 1130pm so center was closed but I still messaged, got a message early the following morning from Dan asking for a couple of details , which he passed on, less than 1 hour later I received a phone call from Andrew to confirm they had found the keys an I could go when it suited to collect them, I'm so grateful the clean up crew found&handed them in . And that Dan&Andrew were so prompt and friendly in replying, Also to add, son and girlfriend have said all the staff atthe reddragon center have all been so friendly &helpful everytime they have visited, so yay for this complex 😁

Bowling itself was okay but what I'm very disappointed with is the food and the staff. On the pictures you can see the burger we've ordered and the sad excuse for a burger that we've actually got. When I asked the girl serving us if that's how it's always done she said that she will ask the chef. Well, I guess she couldn't be really bothered because after that we saw her leaving (probably because her shift ended). Then I went and asked another member of the staff about this and I was told that yes, it's always a plain burger but that we could get toppings each for £1. Well, it would be nice to know it beforehand, wouldn't it? Do not recommend.

Came for a quick game. Booked online which was easy to do and pre-order drinks, food bit more difficult to pre-order has limited options but was easy enough to order on-site. Staff were friendly and helpful and given current climes appeared up to standard with Covid rules.

We had some technical issues on our visit. All the staff were very helpful but it seemed tricky to resolve. Staff were very apologetic when it reoccurred on the next lane we tried. 3rd time lucky though and the lady helped us move and gave us vouchers. We were impressed with how it was dealt with. Took my niece here, it's within the red dragon centre so there's lots to do. The food was nice although pricey. There's an arcade and bowling alley, also has free withdrawal cash machines in the vicinity.

Great fun! Easy online booking, not too expensive and efficient at front desk when booking in. Atmosphere was great and everyone had a great day bowling. Facilities in general were good and staff were helpful. Only negatives were a lack of bowling balls on our Lane and as all lanes were busy it was difficult to find the correct size. The only other disappointment was the beef and chicken burger and chips were quite poor. Food was edible but not great. Lack of condiments and nowhere to place your food tray when at the lane - there was 6 of us so we struggled when the food was delivered. Will revisit though.

Kids had a great time, had a free game of bowling due to attending a recent birthday and having a voucher in there goody bag. Food isn't the best all seems pre cooked and just warmed through, quite rubbery like you'd expect from a microwavable burger, was quite cold too. You need an awful lot of tickets to win fairly rubbish prizes!! Having said that the staff were helpful and joyful.

OK place, been here a couple of times and even had a party here and the staff are friendly and bowling is great alough I do think some aspects could be improved for example with covid some safety procedures could be better, when we visited most lanes were free and the still put us in the lane next to a family when we could of been in a different one but I don't know if maybe there were problems with the other lanes. Overall I do recommend and the service is great.

Nice place Shame someone stole my sunglasses, left on a game for a second I turned back they were gone. Staff were great very clean but in today's generation it is unsafe to leave anything for a second. Thieves and uneducated to the word honesty. Incredibly friendly and helpful staff! Place was full to the rafters they were rushed off their feet and still everyone was smiling and happy to help. Not the cheapest family activitie but fair from expensive. Didn't have any grub, but actually looked quite nice. Rating more like a 4.5 Fun for all, definitely bowling here again

Love it here. Great for all ages, abilities. Can order doos and drinks while playing. In an arcade so once done can have a few games plus a bar so can have a drink or order food at the restaurant. Had a great kids party here. The food in the diner is decent enough, although service is a bit slow. The bowling alley staff were excellent though, and very helpful. The kids eat, bowl and drink deal online us excellent value for money. On the whole, a good evening out.

Wow!! Been a few years since my last visit and I can honestly say that the creases have well and truly been ironed out, VIP area, hard seats have been lined with comfy and bespoke style leather, the place has really been freshened up. Had a fantastic time. Price wasn't great but wasn't terrible. Couldnt see any signage or media promoting any special prices or events.

I booked a lane for my daughter's 9th birthday, her choice. Staff were friendly and welcoming. We had a problem with one of the lane barriers and staff were straight on to it to fix it in next to no time. Service call staff were friendly and nothing too much trouble. All the children had a great time. I haven't been there in a couple of years but I'd highly recommend it. It's cheaper if you book online in advance, and I recommend signing up for newsletters as Hollywood Bowl often send emails with voucher codes etc so worth doing!

First time bowling in 15 years!! The bowling alley itself is exactly what you'd expect and, whilst annoyingly full of children, there's nothing you can do about that. The screens are really easy to read and the games progress at a good pace. Problem was that the food took an hour to arrive and came with melted cheese that was too hot for an adult let alone a young child to handle.

Good place to visit for bowling. They have updated screens and some facilities but seating remains original and is badly worn and lets the place down. Also had a lane were the bumpers wouldn’t raise on their own and we were just told to lift them ourselves. Very busy place on weekends but in the Red Dragon centre does easy parking with restaurants and the cinema to do as well.

We went during the school holidays for mid-day and there was only a short wait of a few minutes before we were seen by a helpful member of staff who set us up for our lane. Everything was explained in a way that we understood what we were doing and we were offered drinks to buy that would be brought to our lane which arrived quickly and were responsibly priced. The overall experience was very good and having not been bowling in many years I can say that we would visit again soon.

Best blowing place in Cardiff. This was my first time visiting in quite a few years and I was surprised to see that the design and layout has changed in a good way. last time I came you had to exchange your trainers for bowling shoes by sea now they're happy for you to wear whatever footwear you would like to wear. This makes for a more enjoyable and comfortable evening. Only problem for me was price. Costs the best part of £15 for to people to play just one game. Too expensive.

The bowling alley is well looked after, kids love the neon lighting. I would advise booking a lane in advance, you get a discount and it does get very busy on weekends and school holidays. You can order food and drinks to your lane and the service was quick too! Staff were friendly and helpful

offer a great deal for students, don't need to put on bowling shoes too. only complaint was that there wasn't enough variance in the ball sizes (we only had one size 8 ball between 3 of us). also please provide chalk for cues in the pool table.

Good bowling facilities when you get to play. What let's it down here is they only seem to use the minimum amount of staff they have to. You can have the person off the bowling desk also covering the bar and when you have a queue of people waiting to pay for bowling one person on the reception desk is not enough.

I had booked Hollywood bowl for a treat for my grandchildren but unfortunately I was stuck in a traffic jam for 2 hours I had kept them updated and they kept changing the time of our alley to give us time to get there the staff were so helpful . Unfortunately due to still being stuck in the traffic jam we still couldn't make it my grandchildren were very upset but the staff were lovely again on the phone and organised us a lane for the following day for no extra charge . I do love the Hollywood bowl in the bay. It's always better and much cheaper to book online - so never go on impulse if you don't have a very good credit score. The food is ... Food, but it's food. (If you know what I mean... Which you probably don't). Drinks are relatively cheap, especially for the bay, but they are most probably watered down. My rum and coke tasted like the suggestion of rum and coke with the residue of around a hundred different ice cubes' leftover melt. Some of the balls have gum in the bottom of the holes, so never put your fingers all the way in (that's what she said.). Nevertheless, it's a fun place to be. It's noisy, and a wee bit grubby, but that's bowling, right? If you want anything posh then book a VIP alley.

Normally a good day out, but lately it's been falling short. Myself and my family have been a couple of time this week and they have been far too overstretched, resulting in poor service. Both times there has only been one member of staff trying to serve both lines of people just arriving and those that have pre-booked, meaning that there were lengthy waits on both occasions. When we finally did get to bowl, the tables were very dirty, like the previous customers had squashed up their food and tipped larger over it (this didn't get cleaned for over an hour). The actual bowling wasn't great either. I didn't see anyone else having any troubles with their lanes, but ours kept freezing with the lights turning off and the pins not resetting (like the game had ended). We reported this and the pins were reset but after it happening a few times, trying to find someone to sort it out was more of a chore than just carrying on regardless, so that's what we did. Unfortunately, the scores were all out of sync as resetting the pins meant that the player would have 4 bowls and no score would be added so the kids pretty quickly lost interest. I brought this up with a member of staff who simply told me that they would keep an eye on it. I later found out that if a pink pin (that randomly appeared) was knocked down, an Easter egg would be won... although we had strikes on plenty but nothing happened. While the day was a bit of a disappointment due to all the troubles we had with the machinery, I would like to point out that most of the staff were happy to help... there just wasn't that many of them and they were very busy elsewhere. On a side note, the arcade is good fun for all ages and the kids had great fun playing for tickets, which are quite easy to win.

Big modern multi-lane 10 pin bowling venue with associated bar, arcade games & separate cafe areas. Service can be slow when busy & as you'd expect for a large bowling venue it's generally noisy. But that's what you'd expect from this sort of venue? Hollywood Bowl is located & accessed from inside central atrium of overall Red Dagon Centre entertainment & restaurants complex.

A nice bowling/bar/arcade in one. nice for a day out with the family or for couples or even for a day out with friends. A couple games of bowling is quite cheap for two people. there are quite a few lanes too so its quite rare for every lane to be packed but if they are, you can simply reserve one from the till. You can leave the lane at any time if you want to pick up food or drinks from the bar.

We always book online saves us literally a few pence lol. But it saves the hassle on arrival of paying etc. A great day out with the kids. A few niggles that bugged me were... there are not enough of the supports stands to bowl with, if you have a child either side or someone who is disabled and you have children or are disabled yourself its a struggle to get to use it, especially if its a children's party on the one side. Also please, please do something about the disabled/baby changing toilets! Its vulgar in there, their are bins galore in there, it sticks and it looks completely neglected compared to your female and male toilets

Went yesterday with 5 others. Food took forever & 3 times one of us got a strike and it then gave us another shot with no pins up. Hot dogs and burgers came after some time but it was a longer wait for chicken nuggets. Overall, our bowling session was great & i think lane 4 is my lucky 1!

Bowling was quite cheap which was good but the standard of the bowling wasn't great. The bowling alleys could do with abit of a polish to help the ball glide down the lane. And the balls need replacing they have chips in them (not the food type of chip but the chip as in holes in them). The finger holes are really gressy which suggests that the burgers are too which would not be good for the arteries... That's if you can even get your bloody fingers in the holes (that's what she said.) Overall not a bad experience but could be better. The arcades are cool. Spent about £10 in them and came out with not 1 but 3 bags of haribo!

Excellent service. You don't need to leave your alley to order your drinks or food. Buzz for a waiter/waitress to come to your alley and they will take your order and you can pay for it there and then.
