My daughter Ellie and her new husband Matthew got married at this little gem of a venue on 22/4/22.I cannot recommend this venue highly enough. We arrived the day before the wedding and nothing was too much trouble for this highly trained professional team. The running of the place is absolutely seamless. Apart from the surroundings being so so beautiful, the accommodation and service was literally faultless. My daughter and son in law wanted a bespoke wedding and Jamie and his team managed to arrange all their requirements without question. As a family we want to thank the Pencoed House team for making Ellie and Matts day so so special. If you are planning a special occasion please please visit Pencoed House before you decide on your venue because we cannot praise it highly enough

I've photographed numerous beautiful weddings at Pencoed House. It is always a pleasure to be asked to photograph a wedding here. Stunning grounds, beautiful buildings, superb food and professional friendly staff. Every wedding couple I have photographed here have loved their wedding day at Pencoed House. The ceremonies are romantic and intimate, the grounds are perfect having both open spaces as well as stunning shaded spots perfect for those gorgeous wedding photographs. I look forward to being booked to work here again in the future.

Peaceful , tranquil and the most beautiful setting for a wedding . Its such a pretty secluded area yet very accessible from the Llantrisant Rd.just outside the City . The outbuildings have been tastefully renovated to a very high standard, and are ideal for guests staying overnight . They are modern , have comfy beds , lovely bathrooms / showers etc, fully equipped kitchen too . The hosts could not have been more helpful or professional..The staff were pleasant, service at the bar was great , nothing was to much trouble . The breakfast was superb , very nicely cooked and the lady serving was really pleasant and polite . The whole experience was far superior than I could have imagined and I was a mere guest . The bride and groom had nothing but praise also . So, if you are looking for a wedding venue , look no further . Pencoed House has it all .

August 2016. We looked at a few venues before Pencoed and we weren't fond of either their style or the fact that you will be sharing your wedding day with unknown hotel guests. When we found Pencoed, I really must say that I got goosebumps when we drove through their entrance. If you are a nature lover you will understand why. It was simply the place for us. Green and stunning natural beauty surrounding the main refurbished barn where the breakfast takes place. The live-stone buildings are incredible and we felt very cosy in them. Food. We took catering from Spiros. It was absoloutely incredible. My dad still remembers the lamb. And oh! That lamb! Staff. Both Pencoed and Spiros staff are brilliant. Attentive, looking to satisfy your needs and make your day, your day! It was flawless. All my family relatives were delighted with their service and smiles. The Pencoed team are amazing. We worked with Darren and he is a gem. We had our best day and definitely a very special memory to treasure and remember forever. Thank you Pencoed :) Diana and Dmitrij

I went for a wedding reception, staff were friendly and helpful, toilets were clean, lots of hand sanitiser available. The food was nice and plentiful. My biggest criticism was trying to find the entrance - very little lighting outside, and no signs to the entrance, only one once you actually got into the building.

Attended a wedding of here and I have to say it was absolutely lovely. The venus was well laid out and was elegantly decorated making it look very special for the bride and groom. At this event we had to have table service, with the staff being very prompt and helpful. Despite having the monopoly and a high end venue I was pleased to say the drinks were well priced and did not feel like I was being taken advantage of. Excellent selection of drinks, with several beers on tap, extensive selection of gins and other spirits. The wedding breakfast was excellent, they catered for all needs and I had the lactose free option, which was really good. I didn't feel palmed off with a quick fix or prepackaged food. There was ample servings as well and the vegetables were exceptional. I would highly recommend the venue to anyone as all staff were helpful and friendly throughout the day and evening.

I would like to express many thanks on behalf of my wife and I, for providing such a fantastic venue, in a beautiful setting for our daughters wedding in August 2021. Your welcome and organization through out the day, exceptional staff, and very kind attention from the moment I arrived to take the car to the hotel, through to the conclusion of the evening and our departure the following day, helped to make this a very special day for all concerned. Over the last few days we've spoken to many of those who attended on the day and with out exception everyone shares our view and has commented on the venue, staff and organization of the event along with the catering and band. For anyone considering this venue for their own special occasion I can whole heartily recommend Pencoed House Estates as a great choice.

We visited Pencoed House as we happened to be passing one weekend, we hadn't booked an appointment but were welcomed to have a look around and we were shown the brochures and wedding packages. The team were incredibly welcoming and the venue was so beautiful we knew straight away this was the place! We were one of the many couples who had to reschedule our wedding date at Pencoed House during the pandemic. The staff were extremely helpful and quick in responding to all our many questions and what if's. When our date finally came around, it was definitely worth the wait!! The staff on the day were fantastic - so professional but friendly and approachable for all our queries. The venue itself is beautiful and we had so many compliments from our guests. We stayed the night on site and we didn't feel rushed out in the morning and the team made a conscious effort to wish us well and have a chat with us about the day before. If you are considering Pencoed House as your wedding venue, I would suggest visiting as the venue just sells itself and I could not recommend it enough to any future couples!!

Amazing venue. The best day of our lives was made all the more magical and stress free because of all of the staff at Pencoed House. Right from the moment my husband and the groomsmen arrived in the morning they felt at ease and everything had all been set up perfectly and with such attention to detail. When I (Gemma) arrived Andrew was a superstar. He was so attentive and calm and just absolutely fantastic for the entire day. Our guests had an absolute blast and everyone commented on how great the service was and how lovely all the staff were. Not to mention all of the comments on the beauty of the venue itself. Hello, Gosh where do I start. I really want to thank you for everything that you did to make our wedding day absolutely perfect. Nothing was ever too much trouble for you in the build up to the wedding despite all the emails that we send you always had a way of keeping us relaxed and of making it enjoyable. He made sure the day was just how we envisioned and he made us feel completely at ease. He again was extremely professional throughout and made sure we just completely relaxed and enjoyed the day. There were comments made about how 'perfect' the venue and the day was and everyone throughly enjoyed themselves. We literally had the time of our lives!! Pencoed House is without a doubt the most beautiful place to get married. This was the first and only venue my husband and I viewed and from the minute we drove down the drive I knew this was the place I wanted our special day to be! Just when you think this place couldn’t be anymore beautiful you find or see something that makes it that bit more better than before. Everything from the grounds, buildings, accommodation, staff and food are superb. We cannot recommend this place highly enough. Our original date was back in August 2020 and due to covid like many others we had to postpone this was not an issue for Pencoed and the wonderful staff were there to help guide and support us all the way. Nothing was to much trouble from them and each email sent would be quickly replied with utter professionalism and reassurance. The second date May 2021 was also postponed and again this was not to much trouble for them. Our date finally arrived on 02/08/21 and everything we imagined & more for our perfect day was exceeded by what Pencoed brought together. They truly are the best! We would like to say big thank you to Andrew for being there throughout our day explaining everything in detail of what to expect and what was next and no matter how much we asked nothing was to much trouble he truly was wonderful and we cannot thank you enough for making our day even more special than imagined. Another big thank you to Johanna, Jenna and Darren who would get back immediately to my emails, nothing was to much trouble and if they didn’t know the answer they would find out keeping me updated are by step on what was happening! & a massive thank you to each and every staff member at Pencoed! My husband Brett and I had to contact you to Thank you for organiding our son Rhys's most incredible wedding last Wednesday. Everyone without exception had a magical day supported by your team of extremely dedicated staff; nothing was too much for them and everything was done with a smile! Darren was really attentive all day long and an excellent Master of Ceremony. The food was incredible, there was plenty of everything! The evening was fun, and we all danced and partied the night away! The fireworks were such a wonderful surprise to compete a perfect day. We are so proud of Rhys, he loves his new wife Sherron so very much ( as do we!) and your venue was the perfect place for them to declare their love and share their day with the people who mean the most to them. A lovely setting for a wedding. I went there for Sunday lunch. They don't normally serve Sunday lunch but having lost all income due to canceled weddings, they have had to make some changes to survive this difficult year. Im sure i didn't see the venue in its best light, it being November. Wet, muddy, bare trees, etc., but i imagine it will look beautiful in the spring/summer. The pate to start was gorgeous. The beef dinner was a little disappointing in that the beef was very chewy. The vegetables were nicely cooked. The dessert of applec tray was a little disappointing in that it was served cold, which i wasn't expecting. It would have been nicer served warm, in my opinion.

Happy to say James, the owner is charming and refunded my deposit in full after the COVID pandemic meant my daughter’s wedding couldn’t go ahead due to her living in Australia. Im sure it would have been a great day but sadly due to travel restrictions unable to go ahead. Thank you also to the caterer’s, caws Cenarth and everyone involved who gave full refunds. Happy to meet up with James next time he is in West Wales. Will never get over not being at my daughter’ wedding but appreciate the understanding. Diolch yn fawr!

We were at a family wedding here on 17/03/18. The venue itself was stunning but a bit small for a large wedding as the tables were very close together. Our accommodation again very nice but it was a very cold weekend & there was no heating or hot water. We were staying in the cottage with 3 other couples 1 which had a baby, they were given a travel cot but no sheet to lie the baby on. They asked for 1 & were given this stain quilt type thing that you wouldn't let as animal lie on never mind a child.

I attended here for a wedding, it's a beautiful place to have a small scale wedding. So easy to get to yet it seems so far away from the bustle at the same time. Beautiful buildings and lovely food served by friendly staff.

We had our wedding at Pencoed House Estate at the end of March. The venue is in a stunning setting of woodlands with large lawns and a stream. This made for the most fantastic backdrop in our photos. The main venue is a stone barn with exposed woodwork inside. We chose it due to its rustic yet elegant appearance. It really did not take much to decorate the room, just a few simple flowers, table decorations and bunting was all it took! They also have a woodburning stove which kept the room warm even in the winter months. On the day we were provided with a wedding manager (in my case Andrew). He was the best, I was so disorganised, turning up late in the morning, and with very loose timings. Andrew made sure that the day ran perfectly without a hitch, without him everything would have fallen apart, but instead it was very stress free! We were also very lucky with the weather for march, which let our guests enjoy the gardens during the day. We chose one of the packages which includes flowers, food, bubbly for the toasts, and wine with the meal. The food provided by Spiros catering was well presented and delicious, a number of guests also commented on this.
